I remember when this stadiums seating system would indicate in real time that a section was full based on ticket sales. The Super Eagles suffered only three defeats there between 1971-2010. To Ghana 1974 WCQ, Algeria 1978 WCQ and then 2010 ( ?) Africa Cup of Nations final to Cameroon.

When the stadium was full and in song; awesome sight!

Not only national stadium should be taken over by lagos state, but also national theatre. This is what pdp (GEJ) refused to do a couple of years ago just because apc govt was in lagos.

It's owned by the Federal Government who have a stadium in Abuja.

Rather than hand over to Lagos state or sell it to private investors they prefer to sit on it.

The Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo is world class.

The National Stadium in Abuja is world class.

Clearly you don't know what you are talking about.

There are so many national assets that have become decayed edifices. Hopefully the National Stadium will be rehabilitated and that it becomes the center of attraction that it once was.
