How can one wear a native attire on a Monday when most banks, companies already have their customized ties, scarfs and dress codes for their staff to open the week with ?..

Nice idea though but it should be on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Next: The implementation of the second stanza of the national anthem as a replacement for the first stanza as I proposed years back .. if you watch Big Brother, you'll agree with me cool
nothing is impossible. this is Nigeria and not US or Britain

Tailors don hammer be dat.
I like people like you. instead of some people to see the benefits in it for our own brothers and sisters, they are seeing the negative side of it.
Friday is usually the most busy day for bankers, if bankers can conveniently wear native on Fridays, why are some people saying that wearing native on Mondays won't be convenient? all need is change our mentality and we are good to go.
God bless Nigeria

.. But you'll be proud to lift someone else's culture. Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians really see themselves as a nation with culture.

It's not always what Nigeria can do for you but what you can do for Nigeria. Although I don't think your suggestion is bad maybe if it circulates well the National Assembly will take it up for review.

They have no pride in anything about themselves. They don't want to speak their language, wear their own clothes, or anything.

My dear, in a Tropical/hot climate, which is more comfortable to wear? is it a court shoe with socks or a sandals/palm slippers? I believe the more comfortable you are, the more productive you become.

I agree with you here but some employees frown at the idea because poor grooming of the staff affects the company negatively. There is this belief that people unconsciously remove their legs from their slippers and expose their toes.

This is the reason why most corporate organizations insist on formal dressing.
