Hello House, I need advise and suggestions about
house issue between my landlord and I. my house rent expired on the 30th of Oct last yr and due to some circumstances surrounding me den . I was not able to pay den which I pleaded with the lawyer and later paid on the 1st week of Jan
on Monday been ystd,d lawyer called me through my co- tenant to speak to me bc I lost my line n v not been able to retrieve it. so as i was talking with him,the man was so rude with his words like what did I say my name was self?
dt im Iooking for his trouble , dt I should make sure dt I come to his office dt Monday. I asked him, Sir. any problem? he said so I'm asking him such question and off his phone. I didn't go bc we have a one week seminar n attendance is compulsory. so he came today n issued me I
quit notice DT I shouldn't renew my rent again in his
letter .he didnt give me period of months to stay bf packing out . BC I know his supposed to give like three or sixmonths to look for a new place . since it was quit notice, and he even gave two of my co tenant quit notice bf me. so what should I do cos I want to call him and tell him dt I'm supposed to stay like 3 or 4 months bfr packing out. pls House I need help. tanx

Your co-tenants he gave the quit notice before you, how much time were they given?

So confirm from him that you also have 3 months and quickly try to get your own lawyer if you'd be needing more time than that. Otherwise, make sure you find a place within the 3 months they officially allowed you.

wt I'm trying to know is ,I thought his supposed to give me extra months if my rent expire?

But your rent has not expired. He's being a real sensible manager with you, to have served you the notice concurrently with your rent duration. If your paid tenure runs from now till the next 3 months, then you must be aware that you already have adequate notice. If you want to stay beyond that time, you should have a lawyer.

On the other hand, if your rent has already expired now, then you have to call him or visit his office to make sure that he included enough timing in the notice of quit he has served you.
