TonyeBarcanista:

If Ribadu was still in EFCC he wouldn't have spared Babachir, Tukur Buratai, Amaexhi and all indicted officers of the administration.

As far as i am concerned, all this play to the gallery will backfire on APC if nothing is done about it. Just like the 9m South African scandal.

It will help Nigerians know that even though they have different parties, politicians are united in looting.

Rubbish

In fact, every known human being is being alleged to be the owner of the money from a former NNPC MD, former PDP Chairman Adamu Muazu, as well as former Governor of Rivers state Rotimi Amaechi-wjth ALL of them denying and even threatened with lawsuit. Now they have shifted ownership to National Intelligence Agency (NIA) saying that the Director-General "ran" to Magu and advised him against searching the apartment... What a story?

Has the EFCC been the source behind any of these allegations of ownership?

Magu need to be informed that Nigerians aren't as stupid as he may think, even if he has to plant money it should be done with wisdom and tacts.

Nigerians are -by and large - more stupid than some of us fear. But I'd like to see your proof that Magu planted that money.

Is it possible that an Intelligence agency like NIA with security personnel attached to the agency will not put armed to the teeth security guards around the apartment to guard it against invasion? Are they saying that the SEVEN policemen from the EFCC that invaded the apartment will disarm and overpower these security guards? Are they saying that the DG will tell his men to willingly surrender to EFCC operative even when the agency cross into their territory? Is EFCC, an agency under the Ministry of Justice now superior to NIA, an intelligence agency under the office of the National Security Adviser (just like DSS)? Can EFCC invade the territory of DSS?

I ask you again; has the EFCC come out to say the money belongs to the NIA?

Your post represents what I abhor about political opposition in Nigeria. The EFCC is nominally supposed to be an independent organization from the ruling APC, and so It is in the best interests of all Nigerians to see a strong and successful EFCC. There's absolutely nothing constructive in the drivel you wrote, and you're happily mixing a few sensible questions with uninformed and unproven conjecture, spiced with needless sarcasm.

It grieves me that my tax money goes to subsidize many of you in that parasitic class of political hangers-on.

I have been following the recent activities of Ibrahim Magu led EFCC with respect to miraculous "discovery" of money worth hundreds of millions of dollars in the most "amazing" areas and places one can think of.

THREE AMAZING DISCOVERIES WITHIN A 4-WEEK PERIOD:
Firstly, in on the 4th of March 2017, it was reported that EFCC "discovered" a whopping N49 million in bundle in a luggage at Kaduna Airport during a routine check of Luggages, I mean N49,000,000.

While one would expect that someone would be arrested (as the money had no legs),  the EFCC through its zonal head in Kaduna state said the owner of the luggage showed up but couldn't explain how he came about the money and "fled" into the thin air. In their own words, "his inability to give any concrete explanation made him become uncomfortable and he disappeared into thin air before the arrival of the EFCC operatives according to our source of information." Till date no arrest or lead has been made about the money or whatever...

We were still wondering how a man could flee into the thin air in the midst of security operatives that searched his bag or how a whopping N49 million will stroll its way into Kaduna airport, the EFCC again came with another "discovery" on April 7, just 3 weeks after the Kaduna discovery.

On April 7, our beloved EFCC discovered a whopping N448.8 Million in a shop in Lagos that has been abandoned for more than TWO YEARS and has not been opened during the period. As usual, no arrest was made nor any clue given.  I mean, even the traders and those allegedly present were even amazed at the "wizardry" of Magu led EFCC.

While we kept wondering, trying to reconcile both the Kaduna and Lagos events, the EFCC gave us a bigger shocker a few days ago. This time, they discovered a whopping $50 Million in a Tower in Ikoyi, Lagos. As usual, nobody was linked to or arrested in connection, not even the "gatemen" keeping watch over the building nor the person that gave EFCC operatives the "key" to the safe.

LET US REASON TOGETHER

Are they saying that the SEVEN policemen from the EFCC that invaded the apartment will disarm and overpower these security guards? Is EFCC, an agency under the Ministry of Justice now superior to NIA,  an intelligence agency under the office of the National Security Adviser (just like DSS)? Can EFCC invade the territory of DSS?

How did EFCC get the key to the safe? Is EFCC saying such an apartment housing such a large amount will have no guard watching over it?  Not even a "maiguard"? How do we explain the trend of discovering money without clue to who owns or watches the money?  Who will keep a whopping N49 million,  N448 million and $50 million without a watchman or even a spy?

MAGU HAS TO LEARN FROM HIS NPF COLLEAGUES:
I understand that Magu is trying to play to the gallery in order to please his paymasters, entertain the fantasy of some Nigerians that are gullible, and mislead the public that he is "working". But I think he has to learn from his colleagues in the Police Force on how to go about it.

There are basically  two ways to achieve this, which I believe will be more sellable to Nigerians than his comedic show.

The first method is for Magu to announce that investigation is on the way and some suspects being trailed, then he  has to instruct his men to raid any uncompleted building where unemployed young people gather to smoke Indian hemp, arrest them, torture them to accept having knowledge in the crime, invite the press to announce that arrest have been made in connection with the discovered money and make the suspects give confessional statements. Then tell Nigerians that further investigation is ongoing to get all the perpetrators and bring them to justice, then approach any high Court to file a case against the "suspects".

The second option is to inform the DPO of the nearest police station to "loan him" victims of raids and mass arrest,  torture them and get them rehearse their confessional statements, then carry them along to the so called scene of the drama, video them and tell the press that they were the people keeping watch over the monies and vow that you will  do all you could to bring their sponsors to justice. The "loanee" suspects will make confessional statements and you can then approach a High Court to prosecute them.

I am very sure that Magu will earn accolades from unsuspecting Nigerians if he implored either of the methods highlighted above. Everyone will be carried away by another events after a couple of days and the whole matter will DIE a natural death. Nobody will be asking questions that further embarrasses the EFCC and Magu.

Oh Magu,  you know that your recent deception,  sorry I mean discoveries will not sell even in Nollywoood. You have to drop this "James Bond" styled theatrics and learn from your colleagues in the Nigeria Police Force.

Magu need to be informed that Nigerians aren't as stupid as he may think, even if he has to plant money it should be done with wisdom and tacts.

Simple answer: they're trying to downplay the success of EFCC since most of the affected looters are members of PDP.

All d monies made from d sale of our natural, God given resources were stolen while d ordinary man continues to languish in abject poverty. PMB may not be perfect but he is trying, EFCC might not be like FBI or CIA but dey are trying.
Tonye stop supporting evil, EFCC under GEJ went into ghost mode but today d story is different.

Tonye stop supporting evil, ur evil party PDP placed us in dis terrible recession, while UAE, Saudi n Norway used their oil money to transform their nation, ur evil party PDP looted dis nation dry. Our economy during GEJ time was only gud cos of d price of crude oil den and as soon as d price of crude oil fell, our economy turned upside down. Even ur den Mrs Harvard, madam Okonjo told us to prepare for Austerity measures cos she knew we will go into recession.
Tonye stop supporting evil rather criticized PMB constructively where needed cos if PMB fails hmmm.

Mumu analysis. Have you ever wondered if the EFCC changed tactics because of the constant wailing that the fight against corruption is one sided or that EFCC engages in media trial?

If EFCC comes out to say Mr A is suspected to be the owner of the money because he or she was the one who rented the apartment, I'm sure the very first thing you dumb fvcks would do is to check the tribe and party affiliation of the person, before you all nincompoops start singing the witch hunt song.

"Let's reason together" you say, but unfortunately what you put up here is not "reasoning" but the same old regurgitated excuses your ilks had put up that beggars logic

1. The news had it that NIA came forward to claim the money, that it was approved for covert operations under GEJ. How is that missing from your acclaimed "reasoning"
2. That the place was left unguarded should have made any sensible person to question NIA. In deed if the money were for covert operations, why was the place unguarded by the NIA?
3. Your "reasoning" should have also addressed the angle of GEJ's name coming into the mix, yet almost a week after, GEJ or his media team had not made a statement either to accept responsibility or deny it
4. Your reasoning has not addressed an supposition that if it were for covert operations, how come a new government 2yrs into his tenure is unaware of the history the covert operations, where the money was kept and to what use it was for

Your attempt to swing this through ridiculous clamour to "reason together" is in itself a dumb move

You dey mind the olofofo? See how he was throwing figures around in the rubbish he wrote like someone deranged. What EFCC discovered last was around $42 million but the bunkum just said $50 million like he has been living in Cameroon.
hahahahaha, bro i was shocked when he said how did they get the key, funny enough if you watch the video, you could see how they where breaking those lockers with chisel and hammer. If he has done his research very well, those are not proper safe that cannot be broken. I tire for our youth.

In deed if the money were for covert operations, why was the place unguarded by the NIA?

i think you are 80years old. Your not a nigerian youth to reason the way you do. Cos i wonder how some of our youths are so gullible. You have asked the right questions. One big origin for you

Can you objectively state how this write-up is "poo"?

1. how can you suggest that efcc should frame innocent individuals for something they know nothing about? are you being sarcastic or what?
2. i am suprised and dissappointed that you also joined the confused morons in pdp (who in one breath will say that efcc planted the discovered money while also accusing amaechi of owning the money) to insinuate that efcc planted the said money without any shred of credible evidence other than conjectures and innuendoes

In addition, his conjectures are not even logically and intelligently enumerated. The angle of NIA came from NIA and not EFCC. Why the attempt to absolve NIA, whom it was reported came forward themselves to lay claim to the money? Even the EFCC are to-date following a laid down procedure of first securing the money through the interim forfeiture order by the courts while investigations are still going on to ascertain the "ownership" of the money.

It is outright irresponsibility on Tonye's part (with your level of intelligence) to descend to the gutter to castigate EFCC. One would have expected that the bigger concern is that almost $50m is out there in an unsecured location, the CBN has no record of it, neither is any security agency

Of course, yes.

Look at it this way...

If the $50m belongs to Amaechi or Tinubu, EFCC will never, I mean NEVER gain access to the building as both men are influential in the government that they will deploy readily available SOLDIERS and mobile policemen to guard it... You see?

What about other discovered monies in Kaduna Airport and Lagos shop?

Thing is Magu and his men could have planted the money just to impress Buhari (who has lost touch with his government) and excite the fantasies of Nigerians that he is working. But, he wasn't smart enough to emulate his colleagues in sky blue and black.

I am on you with valid points raised in your write up

But this your assertion that magu could have planted the cash doesn't make sense..sorry to say

1.NIA has already claimed the money .so how will magu plant what NIA has said is theirs

2.Let's assume you are correct. Where will magu get $43m mints tell me...where?

I strongly believe Efcc discovered this money from tip off from a whistle blower and when they tried identifying owners of the cash..There was plan to cover up hence NIA claimed it..this has thrown efcc in disarray as they also were not patient to carry full investigation before coming to the press

I strongly believe NIA boss is fronting the money for some politicians

He said Gej approved it ..Gej is silent. He doesn't confirm the story why...Gej that was quick to respond to his link in malabu oil deal some weeks ago suddenly is mute

Presidency is quiet why...why can't an official statement come from them addressing. Are they also trying to cover up something

Efcc also have been quiet why

So one can only assume this cover up cuts across the presidency, Gej and NIA. Inotherwords..I suspect both APC and PDP top shots are involved

No surprise say na Magu De plant them the money in conjunction with his friends in CBN and Minting agency.

Then why is your Lord Wike claiming ownership then?

another angle he conveniently omitted. This shows his "reasoning together"is not together

The IQ of most Nigerians are very low. They can believe anything. Magu is playing of that low IQ to make it seem he or the government is working.

Same thing TonyeBarcanista is doing with this sarcastic crap, playing on the minds of people with low IQ.
