'Put it down, please' he pointed to the table.

She walked to the table, place the document and stood before his table. 'How was your weekend sir?'

Sophia made it wonderful, giving me the laps and a long ride, memorable and pleasurable... and you can't believe it, there is this girl with the type of ass you will never have even with surgery, Richard mused.

'Fine' he replied instead, smiling.

'And is there anything I can do for you'

Richard raised brows, then sit up fully, and stared at the woman before him. She wasn't new here but she seemed new. She has changed from the skinny young graduate he knew her for about a year ago to a woman...a woman. The curves have gotten wider and the flesh tender, perhaps its time to do 'it' again. This time differently, not in the jiffy like it had happened before. It would be slow, steady, this time, because this body is new and needs no rush.

That time, it had happened once, in less than a minute, and never to happen again. But it seems that's about to change.

'Sir?' She was smiling, swaying gently like a backup singer, hands clamped before her thighs.

'Ermm... I'll let you know if there is anything' he replied.

He could see the handwriting. He knew when he sees one. Being expert in the game as kept him more game than he ever thought, and if more awards have to be given on this romp of 'bedding women', his house should be a floor of medals now. He has taste though... taste?

The secretary turned to leave, took a last look at him, then shut the door.

To the girls it was handsomeness, wealth, and prestige, but to him, it was just exploration of his God given gifts: his tall height, his bearded face, and of course his earnings. All of them were short. None last long. Always, short relationship like he wanted. His secretary being one of the shortest. They want to roll with a handsome, manager of one the biggest companies, and before they knew it he was gone. He was a conqeouror, with no heart, and with no love. Just... exploration. Exploration, you can call it.

He saw the same size of ass in the girl at the restaurant too, he remembered. That girl was someone he knew, he wasn't sure. Maybe, in his school days at the university of Lagos. Maybe at his PPA in Niger state. No, she can't be from there, he would have remembered if she was.

She strolled into the cemetery holding a bunch of flowers with her. As she was nearing the tomb, tears began to form in her eyes. She bit her lips to hold the tears in. She got to the tomb and dropped to her knees;
"Jossy, it's another year again, I'm so sorry."
Guilt welled up within her, she couldn't help but feel responsible for her best friend's death. If only she hadn't been staring. She dropped the flowers and lay on the ground, her head resting at the foot of the grave. She ran her fingers along the sharp edges and began to cry. How pathetic! Jossy couldn't be touched, the best she could do was to touch her grave, a nonliving thing, a collection of bricks. She would never get over this death. She remembered her smiles, her snorts, her smirks, everything that made her her(jossy). She got up and dusted her skirt;
"I miss you, I'll never forget you."
She turned and made to walk away when she sighted a figure afar off. 'oh no, not again.' She thought for a while, she couldn't afford to walk past him, he might stop her and she wasn't ready to face him. She had just two options, to wait till he leaves or to run. She spared him a glance and wondered, 'What was he doing here anyway?' She breathed in and exhaled, she was going to make use of her legs. She broke into a run and raced past him, her hair and skirt flying behind her. She got to her car and stopped to catch her breath. She leaned on the car to rest for awhile before finally squatting.

He got outside and walked towards where he parked his car, he sighted the lady he saw earlier but before he could register her face, she entered into her car and zoomed off. He got into his car and picked up his phone, he had left it behind. He swiped the screen and drew his pattern unlocking the phone. He saw missed calls from his twin, Richard. He called him back and buckled his seat belt while waiting for him to pick up.
"Hey man, where have you been?" Richard asked immediately.
"I went to visit Sonia"
Sonia was their childhood friend.
"Oh, why didn't you tell me when you were going anyway?"
"Ah, I thought you might be busy with your ladies."
"Oh, man don't play saint on me, we both know you are not holier."
"Whatever, I will be home in the next 45 minutes."
"Aii, see you then."
Mike dropped the phone on the dashboard and zoomed off.

@ kusibe, Sonia was mike and Richard's childhood friend, she's dead tho, u knw mike visited ha, and I tink it was slimberry, that introduced richard as mike's twin, ( during the restaurant scene) I hope I've cleared the air a bit. The issue of mark or Mike, that was a mistake made in earlier updates, it's still mark, I don't knw if I should modify it or not, I tink other writers would determine if we should stick with Mike or go back to mark.

Meanwhile, I seem to think the name Rita's crush is Mark. And I'm sticking with that.

Mark got home in a lot less time than he had told his brother Richard. While he had plans to grab an early dinner in some restaurant before heading home, he changed his mind when he remembered Rich had Sophia over last night. For all of his brother taking her on fancy dates, she never failed to leave his refrigerator well stocked with different meals, which always finger licking good. Rich could continue deceiving himself but his women chasing days were seeing their twilight. God bless Sophia, he thought.

And Sophia, the ass on the girl. Damn. His brother struck gold with that one he had to admit. Besides their identical looks which they shared, their love for a nicely shaped behind was the other thing they had in common. They could not have been more polar opposite than the twins; Rich and Mark.

Rich had always been the life of the party, the boisterous one. The trouble maker who always roped his twin into covering up. The baba for them girls. International heart breaker. They were both handsome and Rich knew how to use it to his advantage. Years of hard work in the gym and their careers only added to the appeal. Mark on the other hand while certainly not "reserved", he was the clean up guy. The calm one. The guy who knew that girls liked him both never knew what to do. While Rich maintained that Mark was not innocent, Mark never broke hearts and was straight up with his emotionally dissociative state. He was a serial monogamous friends with benefits kind of guy.

Dinner at home that evening was a special Ghana jollof recipe Sophia had whipped up over some nice Arsenal banter, Rich was a staunch Gunner. So far as Rich was concerned, if this was how Ghana jollof went then Nigerian jollof didn't stand a chance. Mark maintained that he wasn't talking of the rice but about Sophia's behind. Anything from her had to be the best to him.
"Talking of behinds" Rich said. "Yesterday when I was out with Sophia, I saw this broad who seemed like she recognised me. As usual I turned up the charms and flashed my million dollar smile. But she just stood up and ran away"

Mark couldn't contain his laughter as he told his brother "it is one of two things. Either you've broken that girls heart in the past and you cannot remember or Sophia don tie down your skills"

"The upside though" Rich continued "As she stormed away, the sway of her ass was a certified Oscar performance"

The talk of fleeing girls drew Mark's mind back to earlier in the day when the deja vu inducing face ran past him. He didn't bring it up to Rich because he didn't want to equal the banter playing field.

And while he was taunting Rich of his failing charms, he also remembered the only girl he ever wanted to use his own "charms" on. It was an innocent kind of love. But it had left him scarred and made him hide his emotions behind an ice fortress.

He cast his mind away from all those serious thoughts and went back to hitting Rich with banter.

If only they knew they had both been talking and thinking about the same girl.

Mark stood near his bedside trying to figure out how to get the full description of the damsel his twin told him about but he knew Richard was a hard nut to crack so he decided to let sleeping dogs lie.
Rita was surprised she managed to get home safely due to her reckless drive back home. The face kept popping in her brain throughout the drive and her inner goddess wasn't helping matters with her constant nagging.
Richard couldn't get that wonderful backside off his mind as he laid on his bed. Mere thought of it succeeded in giving him a hard on.
Holy Lord! Rita exclaimed as she slumped on her bed. Mtchew! her inner goddess hissed almost immediately. You should have been bold enough to walk past him, he will think of you as a weakling. For the first time ,she supported her inner goddess.

Rita sighed as she switched off her bedroom night. What a day she thought. She laid on her bed and reminisced about the day's event, her body shuddered lightly as she remember the face again. Lord help me, he has grown taller, more handsome than she could remember and .... wait a minute he looked more responsible than the mark she encountered at the restaurant. Yes, the restaurant. 'some nerves he's got though' she said aloud, pretending he couldnt recognize me. At least he could have said a simple hello. "hmmm" her inner goddess groaned mockingly, "see who is talking, why cant u walk to him say hello and confront him about what happened at the restaurant huh? "not again, please i just want to have a peaceful night rest, no time for argument tommoro is a long day" rita snapped at her innet self. It seem to work because the goddess became silent. Rita tossed in bed and tried to beckon on sleep. Hmmm, well, she continued thinking, i am past all that now, i will just live my life and wait for my prince charming..... she yawned and drifts off to dreamland

Mark couldnt sleep. The lady yes that lady at the grave yard, she seems familiar or is it her eyes, yes there is something about her eyes but he cabt put his finger on it. He could remember the way her eyes flickered with anxiety or what? It look almost as if she expected him to do something. He just dosent understand he sighed. But she has a great figure.. with all that ass.. hmmm speaking of ass richie seems to be getting enough these days. Maybe its been long he gets laid, ohhhhh not this again. Well since Tolani left him three months ago he has been single and yes, really single. He will definately hit the club next tomoro , that is saturday. Maybe richie could come along. definately. They are going to have fun. he smiled and drift off to dreamland..

The place is silent except for the birds singimg dryly without care or fear, the coldness of the breeze can freeze the mighty waters. Oh no where am i Rita thought. But this place looks familiar.. then in a flash she could she a familiar figure , she seems afar but rita could see her smilling at her. Lovely dimples just like my friend's jossy.. wait the figure suddenly looked sad and slip on the floor.. her body hit the ground and she calked rita to help her.... but she wasnt seeing that. She was looking at a figure ahead. but she can only see his back. slowly he turned and before she could see his face a shrieking sound made her jump... Then she screamed.. "ahhhhhhhhhh"

Everyone can we please stop creating more characters? please, let's deal with this ones first.

Sophia sat queitly. A LED Tv hung on the cream paint wall, and around her stood two other white couches. Aesthetic painting: a woman backing a baby in medeival villige beautify the walls. A half empty glass of alcohol sat on a glass table before her, and under her slippers holding feet, mantled by brown, dotted designed square ceramics tiles. She held a magazine with both hands, and on its page was a pre-wedding photoshoot of a couple. Complimenting couple, she thought — Husband was dark and tall, wife was blonde skin and average height.

Advertently, she picked the glass cup, took a sip from it and return it on the table. It warmed her throat and warm her thought too. It was night and she would soon sleep, as she's already wore her night gown. She enjoys it, a cup or two just before falling on bed.

She read the couples name and smile crept on her face. One day, she will be having pre-wedding shoot too. Hers would be shot outside the shores of this country — Paris is her best choice — she can't rule out Italy though — or maybe just South Africa. Those tall archaic monuments in Rome were her fancy for a background in a shoot, like the ones she's seen in movies and the one she visited, once. She took another sip, ran a finger on the picture as if though she was texting the texture of the couples' skin. She read the woman's name — oh! she was an Igbo.

Sophia was a lady of twenty one. She learnt marriage was a cup of tea that requires patience but she caught herself not out of it. She will marry. And living happily ever after was the part she fought, why not happily from the beginning. Just like she has been with Richard. All the headache and frustration that comes with relationship has been silenced when they knew what they wanted, and defined it. In this world, where faithful men are easy to find like dinosaurs, she'd better enjoy herself now, than keep it till later.

Bitter- truth which she believed was that marriage is filled with lots of headaches and frustration. And she wasn't ready for those chunk of worries at her age. She was twenty one, has a master degree from a foreign university — the meeting ground for she and Richard.

It wasn't love at first sight, if anything could be accorded to define it, it was 'lust at first sight.' He was tall. He was dark. His charisma allured her and plus his wittiness, her legs went in air. When they returned to Nigeria, they continued where they ended — for satisfaction — for friendship, companionship — till they're ready to part ways and give marriage chances.

Another sip of the warming liguid brought it usual warmness to her throat. She flipped the page of magazine, uncrossed and crossed her legs. The new page displayed RMD, a popular actor, and his ebony wife. Their brigth smile, igniting a bright one of hers — spreading widely across her face. She, too, will get married, and like this they would look good. Her man would be tall like him... like...

Richard is just a friend and he knows it. He is just an 'explorer' that cannot be tame. No, not Richard.

She picked her phone from the table, slid it unlock, and dialled his number — just to hear his voice. Only, just his voice. Smiling, the phone sing in her ear, she waited. The caller tune stopped, and her smile fused to a frown. Staring at the screen, she dialed again, like the first, it sang and beeped a drop. She threw the phone on the table. She returned to her magazine but it seemed Richard Mofe Damijo was turning to Richard Oluwadamilare. She squinted, slap the magazine shut and it, too, went on the table. She squarmed, fiddling a hand through her hair, and adjusted the collar of her night gown.

She slid on the phone again to see the time though a clock was ticking on the wall: 9pm. He couldn't be sleeping. He should be about... Maybe with another girl... She dialled again and this time, sadly and surprising, 'the customer you're trying to call is switched off'. Farther this time, she flung her phone to the opposite couch.

"So, can you explain what happened in the restaurant few days ago?" Tunde questioned Rita.
A pupil had been sent to her to inform her that she had a visitor outside. Upon getting outside, she saw Tunde waiting for her few metres away from the school canteen. She was contemplating on turning back when he saw her and beckoned to her with his hands. She had practically dragged her feet to where he was standing. On getting to him, that was the first question he threw at her. She shook her head slightly, not even a good morning. She answered him halfheartedly;
"Nothing"
"Uhm, nothing really, who was that guy, where did you know him from?"
"Seriously? Tunde, I can know anybody from anywhere." She answered him angrily.
He looked vexed all of a sudden.
"Tell me Rita, is he an ex?"
"Mr man, why do you care?" She responded.
"Why shouldn't I care?" He fired.
"Why should you care?" She fired back. She hissed.
"Please excuse me, I've got some things doing."
She turned and began to walk away when he called her;
"Rita, do you want to hang out tomorrow, somewhere we can cool off?"
She turned to face him and studied him a bit, he seemed to genuinely care for her. She turned her back to him.
"Thanks but no, thanks." She answered him and hastened her footsteps.

He stood up and stretched his body back and forth. He moved his shoulders to relax his muscles. He had been sitting on that chair for 7 long hours, sorting out files, giving orders and in addition calculating his brain out. He looked worn out. He grabbed his car key and walked out of his office. His mind was on the much needed break he had created for himself. It was clubbing tomorrow or nothing else.

"Richie." Mark called his twin who had his head buried in files. He saw papers scattered all over the office. It seemed Richie had not heard him because he kept on scribbling and even threw another paper on the floor. Mark pitied whoever was going to clean the floor, the person already had more than enough to do. Richie groaned out in frustration and banged his head repeatedly on the table.
"Easy man, your head didn't offend you." Mark said while trying so hard not to laugh.
Richie looked up and half-screamed;
" This is punishment, office work is punishment, it's got no other definition."
Mark smiled.
" Just retire for the day, we are going clubbing tomorrow."
"Oh yes." Richie responded and stood up from his seat. He packed his things and looked up suddenly as if remembering something.
"Mark"
"Huh?"
"Where is your bag?"
"In my office"
" Why?"
" I don't want anything that will remind me of office work, with me are my phone, wallet and car key."
"I think I'm gonna do the same."
Richie picked up his wallet, car key and phone. He switched on his phone and tucked it in his pocket.
"Why did you switch off your phone?" Mark asked.
"Sophia was pestering me with calls."
"How many times did she call you?"
"Twice I think."
Mark scoffed.
"Twice.....pester.... you are funny."
Richie swung his arms around Mark's neck. "Let's go."

She closed the book and beamed with satisfaction. Come Monday,she would go to school early and sneak into the Admin's office and submit the lesson note.The lazy cow doesn't always mark the notes every week so no one would know. "Hypocrite arse!," she hissed. The lazy arse could go on,on the importance of submitting lesson notes,diaries and register books but no one dared talk when she failed to mark them. Rita stood up,stretched and yawned lazily.She wondered what she would do now that she had completed her note, just then, there came a knock on the door. "What do you want this time Tunde?" She didn't even bother with greetings. "Please Rita, let me atleast come in," "I would suggest you get over with why you came. " "Alright then,forgive me for behaving like a jerk.I was worried that guy frightened you and that made you ran off like you did." "Okay you're forgiven, bye!" He stopped her from shutting the door and quickly added,"if you have truly forgiven me, then come out with me to have fun." Alright guys,that's all my hand can take.Hope I didn't make too much mistakes and change the story.

Tunde smiled he knew she will agree to this. he can smell boredom around her, so he just thought of something and blurted out "huhh lets go clubbing tomorrow, please dont say no it will be fun. " Rita sighed, so much for wanting to avoid him. she knew she had to go at least to compensate her last behaviour to him. And, she concluded in her mind, this will be their last outing together. " Okay Tunde, we will go clubbing tommorow" Tunde was overwhelmed. He had to make use if this oppourtunity. He had to make out with her tomorow, he cant wait anymore, maybe if he make the move it will make her fall for him. Ladies love sharp and bold guys he concluded. "Thank you dear. i will pick u up tomorrow by 10."

She stood at a corner and wine filled her cup. Men charttered, and music blared, and ladies giggled. The centre had opened for dancers. She loves to dance, but she came alone. Alone with herself and her wine. She stared around.

At a seat was one of the handsome men she has ever seen. Turning fully at him, her gaze met his and she stared away quiclky, the tables, chairs, and seated couples met her gaze and a smile broaden her lips. He was cute and he was alone, she thought. Talking to men first wasn't her thing, he should attempt if he wasn't dumb. Handsome men are dumb anyway, but not often in the matters of women. She filled her mouth with liquor and let it in her throat slowly.

Tunde gulped his alcohol. He squeezed his face tight; the liquor was warm and a bit bitter exactly like he wanted; like he wanted, so that his annoyance can ease. He poured himself another which half filled the cup; relaxing the cup in his hand and let the past hours play on his mind.

What did she take herself for, a celebrity?

He's been stupid, acting like a fool all day because of one girl. Thats what they say about getting attach too much, but he was showing what he felt, truthfully, as though a fresh of the morning sun, that can't be hidden. His for her can't be hidden. Rita, yes, he loves Rita. And this has become a fool. He was been played as though a tennis ball to the wall when the player was assured it would bounce back. He would come back.

It's enough. The rejection, it's enough.
He had spent hours combing his hair, polishing his shoes, and tried looking good for her, and when he went to her house as planned, she opened her door in half.

'see Tunde, I'm sorry I can't join you, I've slight headche, maybe some other time'

Then she slammed the door shut. Leaving him outside, hurt, betrayed and embarassed — all in one second.
He stirred the glass cup by shaking it, as if though it was a mixture.
The smile in his face had then vanished and he dragged himself than to the bar with the aim of expel his annoyance with some drinks.

He was angry, and his mind was boiling.

Staring around with annoyance clouded vision, he saw a young beautiful lady. Their eyes met and she stared away. His mouth went wide. She's beautiful than Rita, he mused. He put down his cup, and stole another glance her way. She was beautiful and perfect, except being not as fat as Rita, and not as close to his heart like Rita. Her face was more beautiful, and he can't guess why she's alone in this place.

Perhaps, it's time to put Rita where she is, at her house, off his mind, and enjoy his evening. He stood, buttoned his shirt and walked to her.
Rita ruined his plans, but he wont let ruin the entire night.


'Please' he offered a hand, and she accepted shyly, and placing her glass down on a table, they stepped to the center.

Soon, the bar was astounded, their cheers and clap cheered the couple that are so good as dancing partners.
