Men marry for a list of reasons, even amongst the most noble of men, one of the chief reasons for marriage is... you guessed right. Sex! Yes, endless of sex! Like a devout Christian looks forward in hope to the fulfilment of the promise of Isaiah 65:24, even so does a young man anticipates great sex on demand once married. The average man believes, and rightly so, that marriage is a licence to endless, uninterrupted sex.

But statistics points us to a rude awakening, no thanks to the largely disorientated women of the age. Soon after marriage, sex for most folks slows down like an old stream with tired waves. A wife's sexual interest, without warning begins to wane, flying at half mast.

She no longer looks forward to those raunchy nights of sweat-soaked, rumpled sheets and feverish breath. For no apparent reason, she becomes sexually unmotivated. Sex becomes manual and routine - more like an obligation or duty than a passionate longing to fuse body and soul into her husband. Worse still, it becomes a reward to her huaband for doing something nice. Alas, this is the reality of many marriages today.


Let's consider some factors that could be responsible why wives of this age are highly asexual;



Bad Orientation:

Most women have failed to understand the sexual mechanism of men. Some don't even make a pretence at understanding it. The average man is a highly sexual "beast". He entertains sexual-related thoughts several times a day. He can think up a sexual plan straight out of the blue even while pressed with office workload. The involuntary casual movement of his wife from room to room, her "innocent" posture on the sofa watching TV or lying without intent on a bed reading a magazine all send sexual charges to his bloodstream as he watches her, and all the while she's completely oblivious of the sexual current she transmits. She, the wife is absolutely out of touch with her husband's sexuality. Nor does she really care. Sexual urge is a biological summon; who can resist its call? The best amongst us can only say ' I'll be with you shortly '. Sooner or later he would make his move for her. She has no idea where he's coming from neither is she willing to take him where he wishes to go.

A very popular theory among educated and "enlightened" wives is that sex should only take place when both husband and wife feel like it. This is not only wrong but was conceived by a shallow mind and propagated by people whose sexual commitment and appetite are questionable. It doesn't take much wisdom to understand the disparity between man-woman sexual mechanisms. While a skilled lover/husband can talk his wife into sex, there's an altruistic nature to the female sexuality. She's the giver. Today's economic reality means more women are leaving their homes for work to add to the family coffers. And there lies much of the problems besieging the family unit. She gives the best of her energy to her employers on the sacrificial alter of her husband's sexual and emotional needs. Coming home 5 days each week with a pittance of her energy. It's pathetic when wives give their best strength to their employers in the name of supporting their husbands/families while deserting the bedroom. It normally backfires.

A wise woman knows that the bedroom is the most important room in a house. Her bed is the seat of power where she lobbies her husband and make far reaching deals. But the foolish ones desert it.
