8 hrs sleep is for people who do not have a job to do. That's a luxury. I sleep for 3-5hrs daily. Sometimes, I manage to get 2hrs, 30mins.

This is only possible for people who have and enjoy outright autonomy! People who don't have to answer questions from their subordinate why they come late to work, people who run their business all by themselves, People who have flexible working hours.

If you're still on your grind you need more time up to attend to stuffs but when you're successful you sleep pattern also adjust.

This is a human construct you can't change it..

Even for those who work for themselves... I don't answer to anybody and can choose when I like to work but the truth is, I do business in a very competitive field where everyone is chasing fewer clients. If I sleep for 8 hrs instead of 5, the extra 3 hrs is enough for me to lose a client to a competitor. I never turn my phones off for any reason. Besides, the further you climb up the ladder, the more you become more determined to get more.

its very easy to disagree with what OP has said until problem comes. some people think its ideal to always worry about the next bizness plan until High blood pressure takes your life away from the constant hazzle.

I lost Dad to High BP ever since then I don't play with things that affect health. He was the typical Nigerian, always worrying about the next deal, the next this or that till High BP caught up with him.

Nobody is saying 8hrs is the perfect time, 6-8hrs is what is recommended. If you can sleep 6hrs daily , its still perfect.

some of those here commenting sleep is for lazy men, you would think they have built mansions or they are in the perfect health conditions.

6-8hrs is what it says, You guys should have Read before commenting not just feeding off the topic only.

You mean it's for rich or wealthy humans who can afford to sleep for 10 hours while their investments make millions for them in their sleep.

No rich young man sleeps 8hrs a day.

Quote me anywhere!!

Nairalanders as usual are claiming they don’t sleep up to an hour nightly yet disappear from this forum every 8pm till 4am and in some cases 6pm. The day you children stop lying the earth will stop completely.
