Divorce is always painful because almost everyone that get married marry with the hope that it would be a life-long union. And so when it happens, it's painful because that was never the desired outcome.

There are times where divorce is far better than to remain married. Where the relationship has broken down irretrievably, and the partners share mutual deep-seated hatred, rather than love for each other, divorce becomes reasonable option. As progress is not possible without unity, divorce frees the partners to purpose their progress individually, also saves them a situation where one party might inadvertently kill the other person.



The Nigeria union is today at a juncture, where the relationship has broken down. We see mutual deep-seated hate among the different peoples that make up the country. Isn't it time and a better option to free the people to pursue their progress independently?
