It depends on your context and accessibility to qualified technicians. Generally it is believed that Japanese cars are easier /cheaper to maintain.

Yes. I know very little about cars. Is it a crime to seek for knowledge in your Kingdom?

Not a crime!....always a good thing to seek knowledge!...you just floored me with your garri answer!...I'm back on my feet... and now for some knowledge from the little I have about cars.... Honda is a Japanese brand... Mercedes and Audi are European brands. Japanese brands are more suited for the Nigerian conditions because they have a lot more tolerance when it comes to maintenance....you can use a lot of substitutes ...and your mechanic can make a lot of small mistakes or take short cuts in cases of emergencies...European cars in general do not allow that flexibility. .. if it says 5/30 synthetic motor oil... you will need to find that... premium petrol... you'll need to find that... or very soon your car will be a major liability in your life.If you must have a European car...stay away from Audi.

Thank you. Now you're talking. But I'm already planning to buy a Mercedes C200, 2004 model or C240. Are you trying to discourage me? I love Honda but I always feel they're not as strong as Mercedes, and that leg pulling thing de fear me.

That would be a great buy. Depending on your access to qualified Mech.
However Audi A4 is easier and cheaper to maintain than the w203 contraption you're looking at

Hmmm...strong car!...a lot of ehmmm.... strong Mercedes are parked in mechanic shops and in front yards.... with all their solid strength.... but just can't drive. You need to do research in that year and models you want to buy..... I see they sell kinda pretty cheap ...there must be a reason for that ... an d I suspect high maintenance. On Honda.... I hear you.... they do have some serious front end problems.

Disagree on the Honda leg thing, being careful in selecting source of parts solves the Honda leg problem 90%, the remaining 10% is based on who handles your car.

Cost of maintenance, depends on how deep your pocket is.

A Ferrari or Lamborghini, might be cheap to maintain for some people, as opposed to buying a pagani or CCX.......

The Mercedes is a very good option talking about reliability, handling, fuel economy and parts availability. My candid advice is that you go for the facelifted versions (2005-2007) models as issues seem to be related with the w203 as been corrected in this models.

Buy corrolla and camry

Don't buy all these Audi A series.. They always have electrical and sensor problems....

My candid advice is not to buy any car that has sensor all over the body.
