That's Nairaland for you...just type in Igbo and people automatically assume you are referring to the tribe in a derogatory sense...who is therefore the bigot? What is it about the ibos that necessitates this bigotry?

Why some people always talk even when what the gov is doing is the right thing. every where in the world especially capital city . You must pay for wrong parking or parking in other's space. In Chinese is buying car parking space alone in china cities .the price of parking space In a big garden living resident is 50% of apartment buying price . not renting .. i said buying.not to talk about Hongkong. there na die . yet you want to be in develop country. without that one person will just ran out to buy many cars but when he thought of parking space he or she will got to have rethink. and it course less of traffic. Gov is trying to make money from rich ones and you are here complaining . did they ask money for those that park their OKADA. no only those that has cars. that is only for the capital city. i think is a way to control the city.

Dude we have a different government from these other countries that u have mentioned....The difference is, their govt. uses revenue generated from these things for the good of it's citizens i.e build and maintain infrastructure while ours uses theirs to buy properties abroad for themselves...See now?

Nigerians complain too much. Parking tickets is a normal part of life in any developed city like Abuja. There are signboards that indicate which roads will incur parking fees. As a motorist, it is your responsibility to avoid such complications by being aware of the law in your area.

Since you cannot prove your innocence as there are no TV cameras, I am sorry about your loss. Just make sure you charge your customers more money for a product to cover the shortfall. cheesy

Nigerians love to complain about every little thing...thats one of the problem thats moving us backward. If you dont want your car to be clamped, why would you park where they says NO PARKING? This kind of conduct is everywhere in Western World

Please don't get me wrong, i didn't object to paying for parking (since it has been designated for such) even though its still fishy to me, I pay everyday in front of my office in Wuse, Abuja,

what am angry about is that i parked and there was no parking assistant in view (I still think this was intentional), after waiting about 2 minute i left to do my business. Now is it my fault that there is no one to pay to? cant i be charged the normal parking charges or even charged extra for not paying before leaving my car, but the next is my plates was gone, just like that, and slammed with parking violation lol, i followed the guy that i was told is with my plates after following him in the sun for 20 mins without success i left, even the sticker they put on my car has refused to peel off after several washing.

Which Govt office backs them up? no announcement, Noting, also i was highly dissapointed in their office when i went to retrieve my plates, not to sound derogatory but a cybercafe looks better.

Naija no dey jokeooo... Number plates simply removed. If you still don't pay, they will take one tyre. Very funny,But that's the only way to make people pay in Naija. Tickets on the windscreen no go work.
Re: Motorists Watch Out For Parking Tickets In Abuja! by Piyke: 10:15pm On May 16, 2012
I dont really see anything wrong with paying for this o. U need to see the red eye that ticketing officers in the UK move about with looking for offenders.

Whether this would be abused is a different matter but if its whether its needed, it is because some people just park any how, not saying thats the case with the OP
