Actually, both of you are right so there really is no reason to fight over this. It's the OP that's indulging in misinformation by highlighting symptoms of a viral infection that has non-specific symptoms. There is a reason why HIV hasn't got specific symptoms, and it's because most bacterial and viral infections share similar symptoms. So, it's a grave and dangerous misnomer to tell people that HIV has certain symptoms, the ONLY message should be getting tested and safer sex.

Well you may not be wrong. There are so many funny diseases out there with very similar symptoms. If one looks at these things deeply, you'll be tempted to think it some kind of way for some really evil people to continue to make money. When people have HIV, hepatitis and all other funny infections, you pay some huge money to get treatment. They'll always say there are no permanent cure for these diseases and you wonder how come. if there are no permanent cure, that means anyone who is infected will always have to use the drugs which they claim will help the person live long. This means you have to spend a lot of money and some people keep getting extremely rich. there are some tests that you pay as high as almost 100k to do. You can imagine thousands of people getting diagnosed whether rightly or wrongly and having to do some of these tests. Imagine the huge sums of money the hospitals make. If your test comes out negative, nna you don't get a refund oo. your money is gone. Though health is wealth, there a lot of things going that people can't just understand. If you love your life, you gotta keep to the rules, do the test, pay the money, buy the drugs. Like you said, the thought of having any of this disease is enough to kill an individual. wouldn't you rather buy the drugs and hope it is working for you even though it's possible it's not. First it was HIV that was deadly and killing millions of africans and they found drugs that could help people live normal. Now it's hepatitis and it's more deadly than HIV, meanwhile there are drugs that could help the hepatitis patient live normal just like HIV. we all know how some few people got mistakenly infected, and as much as they are just as important as the others, solving the issue of these failed hospital giving tainted blood wouldnt stop the SPREADING of the HIV virus... as we all know that the majority of people (above 80%) getting infected each year do so via unprotected sex . so, regardless of what this ignoramus is saying, the best way to stop the spreading of the HIV virus today is by far to wear a condom. having unprotected sex (especially in the gay/bisexual community) is the #1 reason why the virus keeps on spreading at a rate of 2 million new infected cases EACH YEAR.
