I as a Yoruba man reject in its entirety any attempt to abolish state of origin. Igbos have to go back and develop the east. Most Yorubas are already on to your plot to claim our lands because of its conducive ambience. Igbos have failed on this one. State of Origin doesn't apply to the Yoruba nation, many Yorubas from other states take on political office in Lagos. Solomon Adeola aka Yayi is from Ogun state and he is a Senator representing Lagos West constituency, James Faleke the to be Deputy of late Abubakar Audu is a house of Assembly members in Ikeja constituency and he is from Kogi state and many more like them holding office in Lagos.

Exactly. Igbos are hurting themselves but they think we are the ones hurting. It would take years to heal the wounds of the past five years which was mainly instigated by the igbos. I thank God all Yorubas have woken up to the igbo threat. They are on a losing game already.

Yes, we are a very accommodating people and less tribalistic to other tribes but Igbos hate, chest beating and insults changed our relationship with them, during the Civil War, the tribes close to igbos seized their abandoned properties but we gave them all their properties back and welcomed them with open arms that is how they thrived in Lagos but they turn around and insult us.

My observation is that it is ONLY igbos that go crazy about indigineship. Africa is not america becos every kilometer has its own unique culture and norms so it must be preserved. Why are these ppl so ashamed of their states??I am from Ondo state but born and raised in ibadan for more than 40 years (i have only been to Ondo state just twice) but i will NEVER fight for Oyo state indigeneship ,it is so unafrican.
