Even words like Oke Ora look very suspicious. In Egypt, the was a place called Land of Ra. This has to do with a place where Egyptians worshiped Ram and one of their god. MORE PROOF THAT OBATHALA IS THE SAME AS THERA (OBA-THARA) THE FATHER OF ABRAM WHO IS ALSO ABI-ORUNMILA. This l is still being used by some yoruba tribe, ęgba is one of those yoruba tribe that enjoy the use of 'l' to replace many other words. This is just the different between Obatala and Obatara. But same story surrounds the two, the left a place called ur/òrun and stopped on the way. Yoruba says he was drinking wine and wishing away time. The name 'thera' was said to have originated from a word 'tha-ra-cha/ka' which means the same thing yoruba's saying of him, ta-ra-ka is also a yoruba word meaning doing useless work or being engage in many things of no value at the expense of a profitable assignment. Mulakintanwa:Wherever you got this view definitely is based on perception and not accurately on evidence. I do have my own personal opinion on issue such as this but evidences stamp or knock off one's view. Now, from the fact on ground, obatala wasn't TERA because, Adimla existed during the time of Tala. The ancestors of Obatala were the ones ruling through the lineage of Priesthood, while Adimla ancestors who were the princely lineage surfaced. And at a point in time, the princely lineage took over the ruling house. Period. |
