Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give as God has Blessed You.

"Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come". (1st Corinthians 16:2).

Prosperity is governed by laws or principles that revolves around giving. There are however ways and manners God wants us to give if you want to reap the harvest of the seeds you sow. In the course of this study, we will use the phrase, 'seed sowing' and giving interchangeably.

The first principle that governs how we give is; give as God has prospered you. Apostle Paul made this remark when he gave instructions concerning the collections for the missionaries in Jerusalem involved in the work of the ministry. He told them to put together their support every first day of week as God has prospered them. The financial status of every believer is not the same at any given time. Therefore, God expect those who are seemingly more blessed to give more than the others.

There was an occasion in the Bible where certain rich people gave their offering under the watchful eyes of Jesus. There was a certain poor widow who gave two mites. A mite is the smallest copper coin about one fifth of a cent. Jesus thus said, "...Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had". (Luke 21:3-4).

So, when next you plan the offering you want to give, give according to how God has prospered you. There are so many rich people in the house of God who can spend as much as N3,000 (about $10) per meal but will not even give close to a fifth of that as offering to God. Don't be stingy towards God. You can never outgive God. And whatever you give will certainly trigger commensurate blessings in your life.

Prater and Confession of Faith: Holy Father, I thank you for every opportunity I have to give both in the Church and to those in need. As I give my very best based on my financial status, I declare that you will multiply my seed sown and increase my capacity to give in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God will do a quick work in your life this new month and cut it short in righteousness. God will fill your mouth with laughter and give you a new song in the name of Jesus. You will be divinely linked with those that will favour you in the name of Jesus. Evil and every form of accident shall be far from you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give Priority First to Your Seed before Your Personal Needs.

"Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousnesswink. "(2nd Corinthians 9:10).

When people are faced with the option of either giving or attending to personal needs, the latter usually gets the priority. However, the ways of God are quite different from the ways of the world. The people of the world because of their selfish nature always thinks about themselves first. The things of God usually comes to them as secondary.

The opening verse says God gives to us first the seed we sow before our bread (personal needs). So, when money comes to your custody, think about what you will give first before making budget for your personal needs. God must occupy first place in all that you do if you want to experience unending miracles of financial favours.

Prophet Elijah was sent by God to a widow in the city of Zarephath to sustain him during the famine period. When the Prophet got there, he saw the widow and requested for a plate of meal. But the widow woman responded, "...As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die". (1st Kings 17:12).

Prophet Elijah immediately diagnosed her spiritual error in relationships with her finance that brought her to the poverty stricken condition. She was a selfish woman who only made budget for herself and her son. God was not in her budget and consequently she put herself in a condition of abject poverty.

The prophet had to communicate to her the truth that set her free and reversed the trend of poverty. He told her, "...Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: BUT MAKE ME THEREOF A LITTLE CAKE FIRST, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth."(1st Kings 17:13-14). She did so and never lacked throughout the famine period.

Always give God first place in your finances. Don't allow the pressure of personal needs cause you to act contrary. Recognize God as your source and give him first place. Plan what you want to give first before attending to your personal needs. Don't be like Cain whose offering was rejected because he gave the left over to God. He became a vagabond and his generation was wiped off from the face of the earth after some years. Remember, every wise farmer always separate their best seeds against the next planting season before they convert the rest to food.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Heavenly father, I thank you for every opportunity I have to honour you with my offering. As I make it my priority in my financial budget, I ask you multiply it back to me so I can give much more subsequently in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God will make your path to shine brighter and brighter unto a perfect day in the name of Jesus. You will pursue, overtake and recover all that the enemy has stolen from you in the name of Jesus. He will not leave or forsake you until his purpose for your life is established in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give Willingly.

"Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.". (Exodus 25:2).

In the opening verse, God instructed Moses to take offerings from every man who gives willingly. It is not uncommon to see people who are blessed give their offerings reluctantly or out of compulsion. God does not like such kind of giving and people who give that way may not be blessed.

Don't give just because you have to give. Let it come from the bottom of your heart. There is a difference between unwilling to give and unable to give. There are so many that can single handedly foot the bill of projects in Church but are unwilling to give. Even when they do, they do it a manner that clearly reveals their hearts are not in it.

One sign to know those who give unwillingly is unnecessary delay in responding to needs in the house of God. They release monies weeks and even months after a project is announced when they have it right there with them. There is no passion for the things of God and the result manifest in their unwillingness to give.

There is nothing you possess that didn't come from God. When such attitude of unwillingness continues, it could cut one off from the blessings of God. Hence Apostle Paul said, "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; NOT GRUDGINGLY, OR OF NECESSITY: for God loveth a cheerful giver". (2nd Corinthians 9:7).

Always give your offering willingly. Don't give because others are giving or because you want to please your Pastor. Remember, God sees beyond the physical to our hearts. There is nothing you give to God that will not come back to you one way or the other. God who sees your heart will certainly reward every offering you give willingly from your heart.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear father, I thank you for every opportunity to give my offerings to you. I recognize you as my source and I therefore release my offerings willingly as often as I have the opportunity in the mighty name of Jesus.

Prophecies: God will provide a way of escape from every challenge of life you are faced with presently in the name of Jesus. The God who delivered the Jews from their bondage in Egypt will deliver you from every affliction in the name of Jesus. The Spirit of God will lead you the right way you should go in your life in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give Cheerfully.

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God LOVETH A CHEERFUL GIVER". (2nd Corinthians 9:7).

One principle often overlooked in giving in most of our Churches is the opportunity to allow the brethren sing and dance as they give their offerings. The opening verse says that God loves a cheerful giver.

When God gave instructions to the Jews concerning how they should remit their firstfruits under the Law of Moses, he said they should "...set it before the LORD thy God, and WORSHIP BEFORE THE LORD thy God: And THOU SHALT REJOICE in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you". (Dueteronony 26:10-11).

Notice the two statement used in connection with the manner and ways they should offer their firstfruits unto God; The first said they should set it before the LORD their God, and WORSHIP BEFORE him. So, we ought to worship God with our offerings. Today, in most of our Churches, people just sit down and give their offerings to God. This attitude is lack of reverence to God and should be corrected. The second statement said they should REJOICE in every good thing which the LORD has given unto them.

Celebrate every opportunity you have to give unto God. Be full of joy and praise God for the opportunity to give. If God loves a cheerful giver, then whatever you have to do to put that smile on your face, do it. First, take a few moment to worship God with your offering after which you should be allowed to sing and dance with it before you drop it in the offering bag. Remember also that an atmosphere of praise destabilizes the enemy and can trigger uncommon miracles from God.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Father, I thank you for the wonderful blessings you shower upon me. As I rejoice with my offering set apart from these blessings, I ask you open more doors of financial and material favour for me in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God will open your eyes to behold wondrous things out of his word that will put you over in the name of Jesus. You will not be a victim of false teachings and practices in the name of Jesus. The Spirit of God will strengthen you to serve him with undivided attention in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give as You Have Purposed in Your Heart.

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver". (2nd Corinthians 9:7).

Many a time, when poople make promises to give certain amount for a specific project in Church, they hardly keep to it. There are three ways promises are usually made to God. The first is through a written pledge which only you, your local Church Pastor and the staff which handles financial records are aware of. The only way the other members might get to know about it is if the pledge is announced by the Pastor. A time frame is usually attached to the redemption of such pledge made. It is your duty to ensure It is redeemed.

The second way is through a vocal pledge. Sometimes in fund raising ceremony, people are allowed to say what they want to give. Such vocal pledge should be taken seriously as defaulters could experience disfavour and spiritual hinderances in life which will manifest in setbacks in many areas of your life. The Scripture says, "When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay."(Ecclesiastes 5:4-5).

The third way we make promises to God is in our heart. In this case, no one is aware of what you plan to give, only God who searches the hearts and the reins. So many take such pledge for granted as no one knows about it.However, as long as God is aware, you must take such pledge equally serious. This is what the opening verse addressed at the beginning of it. Give as you purposed in your heart to give. Giving less negates the principles of faith. It is also an expression of lack of trust in God.

One of the reasons people give less than what they planned to give is because of impromptu needs that wasn't budgeted for. So, part of what they are supposed to give is diverted to meet those needs. Such act displeases God and consequently hinders the blessing you should have received.

Always give to God as you have pledged, vowed or purposed in your heart. Don't allow yourself to be distracted by your personal needs no matter how urgent It might appear to be. Remitting what you have purposed to give at such times usually triggers uncommon miracles. The same principle applies to even the regular offering you give during church services. Don't be like Ananias and Sapphira who kept back part of the money they were supposed to give and paid dearly with their lives.

Prayer and Confession of Faith.Merciful father, I thank you for unveiling divine truths that governs giving. I am resolved to always give as I have proposed to give. I therefore resist every form of distractions designed to hinder me from giving what I have purposed to give in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: Your promotion that has lingered for so long is coming to you in the name of Jesus. Oppression of any form is far from you in the name of Jesus. The Lord will bring your feet out of the miry clay and set it upon a rock in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give Promptly.

"When you make a vow to the LORD your God, don’t delay paying it, because the LORD your God will certainly demand payment from you, and then you will be guilty of sin". (Deuteronomy 23:21).

Under the Law of Moses, the Jews were told not to delay the payment of the vows they made. Although we are not under the Law of Moses, the moral lesson from this instruction still stands. It is not uncommon to see many believers today make pledges they redeem reluctantly or even don't redeem at all.

There are certain things people do sometimes they feel doesn't matter when they are actually the root of the challenges they are faced with. There are spiritual undertones to everything that happens to us in life. Matters that concerns how we give to God should not be taken lightly.

When you make commitment to give certain amount to God, do not delay to pay it. Don't let your Pastor follow you up on it. Such attitude displeases God. Instead of delaying the payment, pay It in installments. There are even those who take offence when they are reminded of the pledges they made. The foolish ones among them stop coming to Church and even eventually leave the ministry.

Even in cases where the money you expected never came, there is a better way to deal with an instance like this. Try and communicate with the Church rather than waiting for the Church to remind you. If there is anything you can liquidate, go ahead and do it and use the money gotten from It to redeem your pledges.

Apostle Paul wrote to the Church in Corinth to promptly redeem their pledges. In his letter he said, "Last year, you were the first people who wanted to give. And you were the first to begin that work. So, the best thing for you to do is to finish that work. That is what I think. Now finish the work. When you started, you wanted very much to do it. Now be as ready to finish it. Give what you can give."(2nd Corinthians 8:10-11, Easy English Translation).

Never delay the redemption of pledges you make or even your tithe. Your blessings will come In the same manner you redeem your pledges or pay your tithe. When you make unnecessary delays, your harvest or blessings will also delay. Don't let your personal challenges distract you from paying your pledges promptly. The way to trigger your miracles is to always give first place to the things of the kingdom.

Prayer and Confession of faith. Merciful and Gracious God, I ask for your mercy on me for my short comings in remitting my pledges as I should have done. I ask for financial open doors so I can give promply towards every project In Church In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God will deliver you from every evil works of darkness in the name of Jesus. He will send the right people to you at the right time in the name of Jesus. He will keep you as the apple of his eyes in the name of Jesus. God will remember your good works and reward you accordingly In the mighty name of Jesus.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - What You Sow is What You Reap.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap".(Galatians 6:7).

Every seed in life reproduces after its kind. Mango seed produces mango fruits. This principle applies to virtually everything we do in life. Our Lord Jesus said, "...So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how."(Mark 4:26-27). Put in another way, everything in God's kingdom is governed by the seed-harvest principle.

If what you give to people is kindness, you will reap kindness from people. For instance, if you give clothes to people, you will never lack clothes. But, If you are in the habit of giving money to the needy, God will cause people to give money back to you. Hence our Lord Jesus said, "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets".(Matthew 7:12). So, If you want people to give you money, start giving people money especially your brethren in the Lord.

So many people want to receive but they don't love to give. Instead they spend their monies on things that are worthless. No matter where you are in life, there are people you are far better than. Make effort to sow into the lives of people and you will receive the same act of kindness you show to them. This is why Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again".(Luke 6:38).

Therefore, don't deny your brethren help when it is in your power to give. If you deny them help, God himself will turn his back against you. As It is written, "Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard."(Proverbs 21:13). "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."(Galatians 6:10).

Prayer and Confession of Faith. Dear father, I give you praise for the truth of your word that endures forever. I thank you for every opportunity I have to sow into the lives of people. Thank you for causing every act of kindness I show to people come back to me through people even in increased measure in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: I declare that the peace of God will overwhelm you even in trying moments in the name of Jesus. God will turn every disappointment into new appointments in the name of Jesus. I destroy every witchcraft manipulations attacking your destiny in the mighty name of Jesus.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - What You Sow Comes Back to You Multiplied.

"And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.".(Mark 10:29-30)

When you plant any seed, you receive a far bigger harvest of what is planted. This also happens when you give. Our Lord Jesus unveiled this truth to his disciples after a young rich ruler whom he told to sell his goods and give to the poor went away sad. In other words, the young rich ruler would have become richer over time if he had obeyed the instruction of Jesus. He thought he was losing his wealth to become poor again.

One of the reasons so many people don't believe in the principle of seed harvest is because the harvest usually doesn't show up in their own time frame. In addition, there are other things we are supposed to do to stand the chance of reaping the harvest of seed sown.

For instance, your seed must be sown on good ground. When you give to the poor or for the cause of the gospel, you are sowing your seed on good ground. Sometimes, the harvest comes through God blessing the works of your hands. So, it's important you have a job. Otherwise, It will appear as though God is running a Casino shop. If what one give comes back multiplied always in a jobless condition, no one will certainly want to work.

Hence God told the Jews that he will bless the works of their hands if they give to their poor brethren - Deuteronomy 15:10. Does it mean that those who don't have jobs cannot sow seeds and expect a harvest. The truth is that every child of God has a job to do. Your participation in the work of the ministry is already a heaven given job that can trigger even greater blessing when you give and open the door for you to have a specific job to do.

So, don't hesitate to give whenever you have the opportunity to do so. God will one way or the other multiply your seed back to you and increase your capacity to give over time. Remember, the Scripture says. "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease".(Genesis 8:22).

Prayer and Confession of Faith. Holy Father, I adore and give you thanks for your manifold wisdom. As I release my seed for the cause of the gospel and those in need, I declare that the works of my hands is blessed and I receive a hundred fold increase in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: Your labour in life will not be in vain in the name of Jesus. The evil counsel of the wicked will not stand against you in the name of Jesus. The wisdom of God will consistently guide you in every decision you make in the name of Jesus. You will not hear evil reports about your family in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - The Kind of Harvest or Miracle You Desire Determines The Kind of Seed You Sow.

"Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land." (2nd King 3:27).

Every farmer knows that the harvest he gets from his farm is directly proportional to the amounts of seed planted. You certainly cannot reap beyond the seed you sow. There are also certain miracles you desire that will influence the quality of seed you sow.

The King of Moab was in Battle against the allied forces of Isreal and Judah. And he was on the losing end as predicted by Prophet Elisha. He released his reserved Armies for reenforcement but it didn't change the outcome of the battle. Then, he offered his son who would have succeeded him as burnt offering upon wall and the battle turned against Israel.

This unveils the power of seed offering. However, as God's children, we are not supposed to offer human sacrifice. The moral lesson gotten from this story is that your seed must be commensurate to the kind of miracle you desire or harvest you are anticipating. For instance, you cannot sow a seed of 500 Naira when you are believing God for 20,000,000 Naira. There is no rule as to the exact amount of seed you must sow to provoke a harvest or overturn an adverse situation. Just use your common sense to determine the seed you should sow at any given occasion.

Don't play light on the subject of seed sowing. You see how the battle turned against God's own people and rubbished the prophecy of King Elisha just because of an uncommon offering the King of Moab offered. This explains why the wicked devises of evil men sometimes prosper against some of God's children especially those who give peanuts at the altar of God. Offer God a quality seed offering today and watch out for a big miracle.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Mighty God, I worship you in the beauty of holiness. I thank you for the power behind the seeds we sow. I take advantage of this knowledge and begin to release the best of my seeds to you. As I do, I declare that my miracles will locate me in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecie: Your struggle is over in the name of Jesus. The Lord will lead you in the way of peace, progress and prosperity in the name of Jesus. All your seemingly wasted years will be restored back to you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles on Giving - Give Sacrificially.

"And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing..."(2nd Samuel 24:24).

There is a wrong tradition that has been handed down by most of our Christian fathers about offerings we give in Church. Growing up in my childhood days, my parents usually split the offering note into 1 Kobo coins which was the least spendable denomination at that time. And this Is what goes on in most families even till date. The naira notes are usually split into the least notes of N5, N10, N20, and N50 as they prepare for Church service.

This is one of the reasons so many believers remain in abject poverty. These set of Christians spend more than 10 times the value of offering they give on a plate of food. The offerings you give at the altar of God most cost you something If you want it to open doors of financial favour for you. Don't just give anything you feel like giving. You should give sacrificially.

King David had offended God and was been punished for it. The punishment led to the death of 70,000 Jews within a short space of time. David was however counseled by Prophet Gad to make an altar to God. He got a piece of land belonging to one Araunah.who was willing to as allow King David use it for free. But the king said, "And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing..."(2nd Samuel 24:24).

Most of the offerings we give really doesn't cost us anything If you want to experience financial breakthrough, give to God offerings that cost you something. In other word, give sacrificially. Nothing stops you from giving N1,000 or even N10,000 as regular offering In Church If you can afford It. The more you give, the more blessing you get. Any money that is not up to the value of a plate of meal you eat is not worth giving as an offering to God.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear Father, I appreciate you for your goodness towards me. As I release my. offering to you in sacrifice, I declare that a bountiful harvest awaits me In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God as at work in you both to will and to do of his good pleasures in the name of Jesus. He is taking you to a place in your life where he alone will be your sufficiency in the name of Jesus. God will turn your temporary setback into an opportunity to comeback in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Your Offering Lays a Foundation for Your Future and even For Your Generation yet Unborn.

"And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done."(Genesis 8:21).

There is a correlation between the offerings you give or the seed you sow and your future. Immediately after the flood that destroyed the whole world and saved only Noah and his family, Noah offered uncommon offerings to God. "And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done."(Genesis 8:21).

On account of this offering, God reversed the curse on the ground which came as a result of. Adam's transgression. This is the first evidence that the offerings we give sometimes have far reaching effects beyond our personal benefits. Noah is dead and buried and after about six thousands years he made that offering, we are still reaping the benefit of it. Farmers can plant their crops in expectation of good harvest.

Besides, God entered into a covenant with Noah that he will not destroy the world with flood anymore the way he has done. So, he placed a rainbow in the sky as a token of his covenant. He said, "And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh".(Genesis 9:14-15).

If not for Noah's offering that caused God to enter into this covenant, we would have had floods that will lead to mass destructions of lives and properties more frequently. Though, there are recent reports of floods causing destructions of lives and properties in some parts of the world, it would have been more devastating if not for the covenant God had with Noah triggered by the offering he gave.

So, the offering you give does not only bless you, it lays a good foundation for your future and the future of your generation yet unborn. Your offering secures your destiny and the destinies of your children. When You give worthless offering, in addition to falling out of favour with God, your children will suffer it. This explains why some families are blessed with avirtually all the children doing well while the reverse is the case with others. Begin to give quality offerings now and secure your destiny and that of your generation.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Glorious and Everlasting Father, I thank you for given me the privilege to influence my destiny through the offerings I give. As I release the best of my offerings to you, I declare that my future and that of my children are secured in the mighty name of Jesus.

Prophecies: God's grace Is at work in you to do exploits in the name of Jesus. The voice of lamentations will not be heard in your house in the name of Jesus. Your progress in life will be evident for all to see and glorify God in the name of Jesus. You will succeed where others have failed in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Honour God with the best from your Firstfruit if you want to experience continuous increase.

"Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. "(Proverbs 3:9-10).

Firstfruit principle was first revealed in the fourth chapter of the book of Genesis even before the principle of tithe was revealed. It is derived from agriculture. It simply means the first ripened harvest. When It has to do with animals, it is referred to as the firstling - the first born of an animal.

The Scripture says, "And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.".(Genesis 4:3-5).

Abel honoured God with the firstlings of his flocks but Cain didn't give his firstfruit to God. He gave whatever he chose to give and fell out of favour with God.

Your firstfruut today can be likened to your first salary on a new job or your first salary in a new year. For those in business, your first fruit is your first profit on a new business or your first profit in a new year. Honour God with the best you can give from your firstfruit. It doesn't have to be all like It is taught in many Churches. Giving all of it is a personal decision. Even under the Law of Moses, it was the best that God demanded, not all -:Exodus 34:26; Leviticus 23:10.

One of the reasons so many businesses crash is because of the neglect of this principle. Always learn to honour God with your very best from your firstfruit and expect his blessing to rest upon all that you do. It is an eternal principle that does not fail.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: My father in heaven, I thank you for an opportunity to see a brand new day. As I honour you with the best from my first fruit, I declare that your blessing will rest upon all that I do in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: The Lord who brought water out of the rock for the Jews to drink will supply your needs in the name of Jesus. God will cause all that rise against you to bow down at your feet in the name of Jesus. You are rising above your challenges in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Support the workers in the Church with a minimum of 10% known as Tithe as insurance against financial disaster. .

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it".(Malachi 3:10).

Under the Law of Moses, the Jews were required to remit 10% of their income as support for the Levites who work full time in the sanctuary. This 10% support is know as Tithe. Tithe payment started before the Law of Moses was given. Abraham gave Melchizedek tithe of all he had when he met him on his way back from the a successful rescue operation of his nephew Lot and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Though, the Church is not subject to the Law of Moses, the principle of tithe has been upheld by the Church. If God required that the Levites under the Law should be supported with the tithe of their brethren, the full time workers in the Church today which includes the Pastors themselves require even much more support. The ministry activities today has greater significance than that of the Levites as it has to do with the salvation of souls Jesus died for.

Your regular support with a minimum of 10% is therefore a common sense. You can give more depending on the level of grace upon your life. Anything less points to gross stinginess. The teachings of our Lord Jesus even places a greater demand on us than tithing. Our Lord Jesus said we should sell what we have and give to the poor - Luke 12:33. This is almost as good as giving 100% of what you have.

Tithe payment guarantees you open doors and secure you against financial disaster. And it should be paid to your local Church where you are being fed with the word of God. It is not limited to your income, you can also pay tithe of cash and gifts received. So, students and non workers are not left out. Don't allow the activities of anti tithers deter from remitting your tithe. Rather, give more, because the more you give, the greater the blessings you will receive.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Excellent Father, I magnify your holy name. I thank you for the opportunity given to me to pay my tithe. As I faithfully release my tithe, I declare that more doors of financial favours are opened for me and that the devourer is rebuked for my sake in the name of Jesus.

Prophecies: Every mountain standing in your way of success shall be brought low in the name of Jesus. You are delivered from every evil schemes of darkness in the name of Jesus. Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Give Secretly.

"Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven".(Matthew 6:1).

It is not uncommon to see people give alms in such a way that virtually everybody around them know about it. Even in some Churches today, alms given to those in needs are usually broadcast on television so the whole world will know and commend their good works. According to our Lord Jesus, such people have received their reward already. "Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."(Matthew 6:2).

So, if you are disposed to help someone, don't do it to get the attention and applause of people. Otherwise, you have lost your reward. Hence our Lord Jesus further said, "...when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly."(Matthew 6:3-4).

The negation of this principle is one of the reasons some believers don't seem to reap the reward of their good works. Everyone must know the new suit their Pastor is putting on was bought by them. They will tell every Dick and Harry they rescued you out of financial disaster. It is uncalled for.

We all know that good acts have a way of getting to peoples knowledge but you shouldn't be the one spreading the news of what you have done. So many people will get to heaven and discovered they have no reward for their benevolence act on earth. They already got their reward from the praises of people. So, always give alms in such a way that it does not get to the notice of a third party deliberately. And the Lord who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear father, I worship you in the beauty of holiness. I ask for your wisdom and discretion to guide me in the manners and ways I give to people so that it will not get to the attention of a third party in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: You will be celebrated where you have been tolerated in the name of Jesus. You will be esteemed where you have been despised in the name of Jesus. Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Your giving opens an account for You in Heaven.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:"(Matthew 6:19-20).

When we give for the sake of the work of the ministry and to those in need, it is usually recorded in your favour in heaven. In other words, you have invariably opened an account for yourself in heaven's bank.

But unlike the banks on earth that can go bankrupt and also be affected by currency devaluation, the bank in heaven is not affected by either of these factors. So, our Lord Jesus said in the opening text for us to put our investment in heaven's account.

Another major difference between the bank in heaven and that on earth is the interest rates. Earthly banks interest rates are very low. In most banks, it is almost non existent. However, the bank in heaven offer an interest rate of a hundred fold increase. That is, for each one naira or one dollar you give, you can get hundred times as much. In addition, thieves and armed robbers cannot rob the bank in heaven like they do on earth.

The question then is, how can I make withdrawals from my account in heaven? Just place a demand on any amount of money you need using the name of Jesus. If you have that much money in your heaven's account, your request will be delivered to you in ways you cannot predict. Most of the times, it is through the work you are involved in. It could be through a big contract or a promotion in your place of work. This is why it's important to have something doing for the kingdom financial principle to work for you effectively.

Put your trust in God's financial banking system. Be an all round giver. Whatever you give to help those in need especially your brethren and also for the work of the ministry will be credited to your account in heaven. Above all, the balance of whatever is left will be waiting for you to enjoy in heaven.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: I thank you dear father in heaven for unveiling kingdom financial banking system to me. I am therefore resolved to put my investment in heaven's bank. And I declare that every investment I deposit therein will yield an hundred fold interest in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: I see a ray of light at the end of the dark tunnel of your life in the name of Jesus. God will do a quick work in your life and cut it short in righteousness. Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - You sometimes have to water your seed sown to reap a harvest.

"In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good".(Ecclesiastes 11:6).

There are living testimonies of people who reaped the harvest of their seed sowed that same day. But it seldom happens that way. Many a time, there is a waiting period between when you sow your seed and when the harvest shows up. At such times, you have to water your seed in the same way a farmer waters his seed for it to grow to maturity and produce its harvest.

You water the seeds you sow through consistent giving. This is the message conveyed by the opening text. It is not enough for you to sow your seed and just sit back waiting for your harvest. You have to keep giving as often as you have the opportunity to do so. Consistency in giving demonstrates faith in God's financial kingdom principles. And faith is what pleases God. As the Scripture says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."(Hebrews 11:6).

The people of the world involved in gambling and football betting never give up. They just believe luck will be on the their side one day. In the same way, don't give up on God's financial kingdom principle. Unlike gambling which depends much on the element of luck, God's financial principle is a proven and tested one. So, don't stop giving and your harvest will come in due season.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Faithful God, I thank you for your infallible word. As I water my seed sown with consistent giving, I declare that my harvest will come to me sooner or later in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: You will not die by brief or protracted illness in the name of Jesus. The Spirit of the Lord will guide you the right way you should go in the name of Jesus. You will not be afraid of terror for it will not come near you in the name of Jesus. The Lord will deliver you from every form of afflictions in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Your Capacity to give should increase after a period of time.

"Now he who supplies seed to the farmer and bread to eat will also supply you with seed and multiply it and enlarge the harvest that results from your righteousness. In every way you will grow richer and become even more generous, and this will cause others to give thanks to God because of us".(2nd Corinthians 9:10-11, ISV)

If you give in accordance to God's financial kingdom principle, your capacity to give should increase after a period of time. This is the proof that God has really blessed you through your giving. This is Apostle Paul's submission in the opening verses and it makes common sense.

There are quite a few people who never go past a certain level of giving year after year. Even after about five years, they still give the same amount of offering. It shouldn't be. If this is your case, then check the ways and manners you have been giving. Remaining at the same level of giving after a long period of time is a sign of stagnation.

This is why I said in one of the previous days that tithe which is 10% given for the support of the full time workers in the house of God is just a starting point. After a while when you notice that God has really blessed you, you can choose to give up to 20% or 30% and even up to 50%.

King Solomon gave an unusual offering that got the attention of God. The record reads, "And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar".(1st King 3:4). This offering triggered God's blessing on him such that the offering he gave after a few years later was even more staggering - 22,000 oxen, and 120,000 sheep.(1st King 6:63).

Even if you didn't noticed much increase in your financial status after a while, still try and step up your giving. Don't remain at the same level of giving year after year. Stepping up your giving when you haven't noticed much increase after a period of time is an act of faith and God will definitely honour your faith and take you to a new level in your finance.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear father, I thank you for every opportunity I have to sow my seed. As you multiply my seed sown, I know that my capacity to give after a while will increase in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God's strength will be made perfect in your weakness in the name of Jesus. You will walk in divine health and prosperity the rest of your life in the name of Jesus. His ability is at work in you to do uncommon things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Don't go to the presence of God empty handed.

"Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me emptysmiley".(Exodus 23:15).

The opening verse is one of the occasion the Jews were instructed not to appear before the Lord empty. Though, we are not under the Law of Moses, this instruction conveys a moral lesson.

Today, it is not uncommon to see professing believers go to the presence of God empty handed. Quite a few of such people often give the excuse of lack. Others do so deliberately without thinking about the consequences. These are the ones who value food more than God. They claim they have nothing to offer God simply because they prefer to spend the money on food and other thnngs. And eating your seed offering is a sure way to invite poverty into your life.

No matter how poor one maybe, there is always something you can give. Your offering is not limited to money. There are many other things you can give ranging from clothes, shoes, jewelry and even to household items. Any of these items can be sold and the money put into the treasury. The better option is to sell the item yourself and give the money as your offering.

I read about the story of a widow who responded to the request for members to give towards a major project in Church by giving the only plate and chopstick she had as her contribution. She said she would put her food on a piece of paper and eat with her hand. This is even more touching than the story of the widow who gave two mites in the Bible.

Don't go to the presence of God empty handed. Plan your offering. You can cut off unnecessary expenses like chew gums, drinks you take often, transportation within short distances you can walk, call credits etc, so you can have to give. Take your offering serious. There is a connection between your offering and your destiny.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: I thank you heavenly father for your manifold wisdom. I am resolved from today never to come into your presence empty handed. I thank you for supplying the seeds I require to sow always in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: The Lord that lifted up Joseph from a slave boy and a prisoner to become a president will also lift you up to enviable heights in the name of Jesus. Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - What you give represents the value you place on the Recipient.

"And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts".(Malachi 1:cool.

Whatever you give, whether to God or to man represents the value you place on that person. So, you have to be very cautious of the amount and kind of offering you give especially to God. It is true that the offerings are administered by the ministers of the gospel but never see it as offering given to man.

Quite a few times you have had an opportunity to give alms to a beggar, I am sure the amount you may have given was certainty influenced by the fact that he is a beggar. Many a time, they are totally ignored by people. If on the other hand, you want to give your spouse money, you certainty will give an amount that portrays your value for him or her.

But when it comes to God who is the sustainer of our lives, most believers give him offering as though he is a beggar. God will not take that from anyone. The opening verse is the rebuke he gave to Priests who dishonoured God through worthless offerings. God said they know they can't give such gift to their governors.

In addition, he said, "...cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.' (Malachi 1:14).

So, when you prepare your offering to God, give what you know within the level of your income won't make God feel despised. Don't also give torn notes. For instance, in Nigeria, there are full grown adults who still give offerings as low as N50, N20 and even N10 ($1 = N350 approximately). This is completely worthless whichever way anyone wants to look at it. Even a jobless man shouldn't give such worthless offering. After all, most jobless people receive periodically financial favour from friends and relatives. How will you feel if a dear friend give you such amount of money? Always give with the consciousness that God himself responds to our offerings either by approving it or rejecting it. And it is doom for you if God rejects your offerings.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear father, I honour and give you praise. I am resolved to give you offerings that shows how much respect I have for you. I pray you accept my offerings and multiply it back to me so I can give much more in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: Your path will be like the shining light that shines more and more unto a perfect day in the name of Jesus. The Lord will trouble those who trouble you in the name of Jesus. You will be above and not beneath in the name of Jesus. You will be on top and never under in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Your giving is a recognition that God is your source and it destroys lack mentality.

"...The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters".(Psalms 23:1-2).

As a child of God, you should have the consciousness that God is your source. When you have this mentality, you will never struggle to give. A lot of people have the mentality of lack. So, whatever they manage to acquire, they hold tight to it. They are afraid of where the next money is going to come from when they release what is already in their possession.

King David was a shepherd boy before he became a king. He knew that a good shepherd will always provide for his sheep. So, he saw God in this light and depended on him for his daily needs and protection. This is why David was an all round giver. He risked his life for his lambs on two occasion when he fought a bear and a lion. He also risked his life to fight Goliath. God saw these rare qualities and chose him to be king over his people.

Our Lord Jesus told his disciples, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth".(Luke 12:32-33). A kingdom is a domain with a king. God wants you to rule with Him as a king over everything including lack. And the way to prepare yourself is to break away from the fear of lack. A man who sells his properties and gives to the poor is not afraid of lack.

God wants you to get to a point in your life where you should not be afraid to give all. Even 10% payment as tithe doesn't meet up to Jesus standard of giving. He does not despise your tithe but he wants you to give far bigger than just 10%. You haven't really given to Jesus standard until you empty your account and sell off your properties to help the poor. This is the secret to true riches. It is at this point you truly begins to reign as a king over lack.

Release that savings in the bank and help a brother in need. Sell that extra car you hardly drive and give to the poor. Do it with the recognition that God is your source. Whatever you give away will certainly come back to you in multiple proportions. Those who are afraid to give are conscious of lack. Remember, the Bible says, "He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse".(Proverbs 28:27).

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Glorious God, I extol your holy name. I recognize you as my source. As such, I am not afraid to give even all that is in my possession to help someone in need. I celebrate every opportunity to help someone because it is an opportunity to be blessed. I thank you for the grace to always give both to those in need and for the work of your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God will embarrass you with miracles on every side in the name of Jesus. Those who have forgotten you will remember you in the name of Jesus. Your joy that was stolen shall be restored back to you in the name of Jesus. You are on top list to be favoured by God in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - When you give alms, give to those that don't have the opportunity to pay you back.

"But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just".(Luke 14:13-14).

There are different ways we can give to the poor. The poor man really has no friend. They are usually despised by the society and even in most Church circles. And many a time, people are reluctant to help them because they usually can't pay back.

So, it is not uncommon to see people invite only their very close friends especially those in the same class or status for specific occasions such as wedding ceremony, anniversaries and birthday parties. You dare not step into such meetings if you are not invited. In addition, they feel obliged to attend their friends ceremonies because they want the same done to them.

Our Lord Jesus however counsel otherwise as contained in the opening text. This is sure way to receive an eternal reward in heaven. So, learn to celebrate your occasion with the poor and less privileged. If our Lord Jesus could sit and dine with people who were least esteemed in the society, you can do the same. Remember the orphans and widows especially. God is their guarantor and he will definitely reward you in a big way at the appointed time.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Merciful and gracious father, I thank you for your lovingkindness that is better than life. I thank you for every opportunity I have to give to the poor. As I do, I pray for adequate resources So I will always have more than enough to help the poor in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: You will not hear evil reports this festive season in the name of Jesus. There is no power of darkness that can stop what God is about to do in our lives. God will sustain you even in drought in the name of Jesus. He will bring your feet out of the miry clay and set it upon a rock in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Your seed must die first before it can yield its harvest.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit".(John 12:24).

Natural seeds, when it is sown dies first before it can reproduce. A dead seed is of no worth to the one who planted it if removed from the ground. How does the seed you sow die spiritually speaking? Your seed sown dies the moment you release it and take your mind off from how it is administered.

Their are quite a few of God's children who give and monitor how the offering is being utilized. Some even will attempt to collect it back indirectly. These set of believers also seek to control the Pastor for the little seed they sow in Church. They make themselves bigger than the authority of the Pastor. Such people will not receive harvest of their seed sown.

You have to relate with your Pastor in trust. Pastors are generally supposed to be men of integrity but their are few of them that have rubbished the title. In any case, even if your Pastor mismanaged or misappropriate the fund raised for a specific purpose, let God personally judge him.

Give whatever you want to give for any project in Church and take your mind off it. Even if you personally observe that the project you contributed money for is yet to be executed as expected, give a benefit of doubt. It is possible that other more important projects were attended to. And even when you notice something new around your Pastor like a new suit or even a new car, don't immediately conclude that it is the money contributed that he used. Pastors are men of favour and it can come anytime. No matter the amount of money you give for any project in Church, live the administration of the fund to the Pastor or committee set up. The Pastor is accountable to God alone and not to man except for a few orthodox churches that is controlled by board of elders.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear father, I give you glory and honour due to your name. I thank you for the privilege to give towards Church projects. I refuse to have any undue interference with the management of the fund. I am trusting you for every harvest of seed sown in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: You will rule and reign in the midst of your enemies in the name of Jesus. All those that gather together against you shall fall in the name of Jesus. Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Wise People Brings Precious Gifts to Jesus this Season of Christmas.

"And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh".(Matthew 2:11).

It is just a day to Christmas and we can see the tremendous increase in commercial activities. Parents are picking up clothes, shoes and wonderful gifts for their children. Homes are receiving face lifts with new furniture, decorations and paintings. In addition, quite a few people are preparing gifts for special friends and relatives. Ironically, most people hardly remember to invest in the house of God and prepare gifts for Jesus who is the celebrant.

When Jesus was born, wise men from the east sought for him. And when they saw him, they worshipped him and opened up their treasures and gave him very expensive gifts. This is the wisdom we should demonstrate this festive period. Jesus is the best gift of God to the world. This is therefore one opportunity to honour him with our gifts like the wise men did.

As we celebrate this miraculous birth of our Saviour, your priority should be God's kingdom. It is a misplacement of priority to invest just in yourself and family and neglect the house of God whose Son you purport to celebrate. In any birthday celebration, the celebrant is usually the focus of everyone. But during Christmas, most Christians actually focus more on themselves and despise Jesus, the celebrant and house of God.

Your first obligation is to honour Jesus with worship like the wise men did. Get involved financially in the face lift of your Church. You can't decorate your house and forget the house of the one you are celebrating. Then, prepare wonderful gifts for Jesus. Ensure you go to Church and take your gifts to the altar. They should be gifts useful to either the Church or your Pastor. Don't forget to use this festive period to remember the poor, orphans and widows. Above all, share the message of Christmas to lost souls and win them for the kingdom of God.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Holy father, I thank you for the precious gift of Jesus and the opportunity to celebrate him. I worship you today for this precious gift. Lord Jesus, I also thank you for the opportunity to honour you this Christmas. I pray that the whole earth will ring with the praises of your name even this festive period in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God will cause people to favour you this festive period in the name of Jesus. God will turn your shame into fame in the name of Jesus. Your lights will rise in obscurity in the name of Jesus. There shall no evil before you in the name of Jesus. Only will your eyes you will behold and see the reward of the wicked in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Jesus is the Best Gift of God to Mankind.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace".(Isaiah 9:6).

Merry Christmas to you all. It's another Christmas and we have another opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus. To so many, Christmas is just a season to eat and drink or put on new clothes. It is much more than that. It is time to honour Jesus and appreciate God for the precious gift of his Son, Jesus Christ. And the first place you should be is the house of God.

Life is hopeless without Jesus. Life is meaningless without him. Man was lost without hope until Jesus came. The sin of the first Adam brought the entire human race under condemntion. The Jews were under the curse of the Law of Moses and they needed a Saviour.

Our Lord Jesus came at the appointed time to end the dispensation of the Law and ushered in grace. He brought a new way of life that unveiled God's love to mankind. Even wise men from the east saw his star and came to worship him. Jesus is love personified. His compassion for the sick is unmatched in history. His teachings were full of words of grace. His ministry was characterized with profound miracles that are medically impossible.

Jesus is indeed the best gift of God to you. If you have already received him, use this season to strengthen your commitment to him. If you are yet to accept him as your Lord and personal Saviour, take advantage of this celebration and invite Jesus into your life. Remember to share your meal with the poor, orphans and widows. Also use this season to tell someone about Jesus. Have a blissful Christmas celebration.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear heavenly father, I appreciate you for the gift of your Son. I pray that every lost soul will come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: I declare that every yoke of bondage in your life is broken in the name of Jesus. You are blessed in your coming in and in your going out in the name of Jesus. You are like a tree planted by the rivers and your leaves will not wither in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - The Role of Confession when Sowing Your Seed.

"Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them". (Deuteronomy 26:13).

The Jews were taught what to say when they give their tithes to the Levites and also invite the strangers, the fatherless and the widows to partake of it once in there years. There is a principle we can draw from this instruction even though we are not under the Law of Moses.

Don't just take your offerings or seeds to the altar without praying over it and making relevant confessions. I am not talking about the confession of sin here but words that is directed to God acknowledging his provision, thanking him for the opportunity to give and letting him know that you are doing it in obedience and love. It is also a time, you should let him know of your expectations and remind him of his promises.

Even when God rebuked the Jews through Prophet Malachi for robbing him in tithes and offerings, he said, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and PROVE ME NOW herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." (Malachi 3:10). He told the Jews to prove him.

In the book of Isaiah, God said, "Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob".(Isaiah 41:21). As you hold that offering, seed or tithe in your hands, give God strong reasons why he has to bless you and grant your hearts desire. Use his word to present your case to him. Demand that he bless you according to the promise of his word and he will certainly honour his word.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: I thank you father for your faithfullness. As I give you my very best, I ask that you multiply it back to me and bless me according to the promise of your word in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: You will see good days and live long in the name of Jesus. Whatever you lay your hands upon shall prosper in the name of Jesus. God will bring you into financial rest in the name of Jesus. He will contend with those that contend against you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - The Role of Confession while Waiting for Your Harvest.

"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promisedwink".(Hebrews 10:23).

The Christian life is a life of Confession. Like I said yesterday, the confession we are talking about here is not the confession of sins. It is speaking forth words consistent with your expectations and what God has said concerning you.

When you give special offerings or sow a seed, it is usually tied to an expectation. After sowing your seed, you have to constantly declare that the harvest you are expecting is coming to you. Words are containers of power and they control what happens in the physical world. Hence the Scripture says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof".(Proverbs 18:21).

It doesn't matter how long the manifestation of your harvest takes, keep speaking faith filled words. Our Lord Jesus said you can have whatsoever you say - Mark 11:23. "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. [Therefore], Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God [by constantly declaring your harvest], ye might receive the promise.".(1st Thessalonians 5:24; Hebrews 10:35-36).

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Heavenly father, I thank you for your faithfullness. I therefore declare that I receive the harvest of every seed I sow in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: God through the power of the Holy Spirit at work in your life will turn your wilderness into a fruitful field in the name of Jesus. The God that made a way for the children of Israel through the wilderness will make a way for you in the name of Jesus. God will cause men to favour your righteous cause in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Give To The One Who Asks You.

"Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away".(Matthew 5:42).

No matter where you are in life, God has placed you in a position where you can be a blessing to someone else. When God called Abraham, he gave him a seven fold promise when he said; "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed".(Genesis 12:2-3).

From the verses above, he did not only said he will bless him, he also said that he will make him a blessing. We are the seed of Abraham and his blessing is at work in our lives. So, you ought to be a blessing to those around you and to those you will have opportunity to meet on your way.

There is no one that will come to you for help unless that person knows or thinks you can be of help. Sometimes they are divinely directed by God. Hence the writer of Hebrews said, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.".(Hebrews 12:2).

So, when someone ask for help especially your brethren in the faith, do whatever you can to assist. Don't turn the person away. Our Lord Jesus said we should give even to the point of liquidating our properties - Luke 12:33. This is the new way of life we have been called to live. God wants us to love others the way Jesus loved us.

Those who deny their brethren help when it is within their power mighty lose their salvation. Our Lord Jesus clearly taught this fact in his parable of the sheep and goat. "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin". (James 4:17). "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith".(Galatians 6:10).

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Holy father, I thank you for the great love you showed to us through the gift of your Son. I ask for your overflowing blessing so I can be of support to as many as I have opportunity to help in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: Every retrogression in your life shall be turned into progression in the name of Jesus. Every obstacle in your life will trigger your most desired miracles in the name of Jesus. The wisdom of God will direct you in the affairs of life in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Where Your Treasure is, Your Heart Will Be There Also.

"But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". (Matthew 6:20-21).

The teachings of our Lord Jesus totally changed the concept of investment. It is true that we carry out our business transactions on earth and as such have one form of investment here and there. In addition, we have bank accounts where we save our monies but our Lord Jesus said we should rather have our investment in the kingdom of heaven.

It doesn't mean you should not have any form of investment on earth but it does mean that you should be have much more investment in the kingdom of heaven. When you pass on from this earth, you will spend the rest of your life in the kingdom of heaven until the creation of a new heaven and a earth. And you will not carry anything from this earth to the kingdom of heaven. Those beautiful houses and cars will be left behind. Your monies in your bank account will also be left behind. And it will be utter foolishness when you get to heaven and find out you have no meaningful investment there.

It is just like a worker who spent most of his monies building beautiful houses in the cities where he works and does not have a single house in his own town where he mighty likely return to after retirement. He will certainly be mocked by his people. Besides, you can lose your investment on earth to thieves or through fire incidents. The banks can also go bankrupt and all your monies will be lost.

You make investment in the kingdom of heaven by the good works you do on earth. This includes giving to the poor, orphans and widows. It also includes your financial involvement in advancing the cause of the gospel of our Lord Jesus. All of these good works are recorded to your credit in your heaven's account. This will invariably affect the kind of mansion your will live and your status in heaven.

Put your monies in the kingdom of God. Celebrate every opportunity you have to give in cash and kind. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". (Matthew 6:21). The converse is also true - where your heart is, your treasure will be there also. This explains why so many of God's children hardly help the needy and give for the things of the kingdom. There hearts are not in the things of the kingdom of God.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: My father in heaven, I thank you for opening my eyes to the need to put my investment in the things of the kingdom and help the poor. I will live the rest of my life in this consciousness in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: You will see good days and live long on earth in the name of Jesus. Your expectations in life will not be cut off in the name of Jesus. You will recover all that that enemy has stolen in your life in the name of Jesus. God will perfect whatever is lacking in your faith in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Right Giving Preserves and Restores Your Health.

"Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward". (Isaiah 58:cool.

The verse above reveals some of the benefits that accompanies benevolence and it includes restoration of health. The preceding verse reads, " Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?". (Isaiah 58:7).

God is so pleased with kind acts that he rewards those who do it willingly and cheerfully with blessings that cuts across virtually every area of their lives. The reward for giving is much more than monetary reward. There are health benefits that accompanies right giving.

The book of Psalms also attest to this truth; "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness" (Psalms 41:1-3). The Easy English Translation renders the last verse thus; "The *LORD will be like a nurse to him when he is ill in bed. Every time that he is ill, you will make him well again".

So, never hesitate to help someone in need. The rewards that follows far outweighs whatever you give away. Stingy people are often plagued with one disease or the other. And most of them never come out of it. When you give to the poor and also for the Gospel sake, God will ensure you stay in good health. Even when you fall sick, he will ensure your health is speedily restored.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Rock of Ages, Ancient of Days, I praise your holy name. I ask for overflowing blessings so I will also bless lives that I have the opportunity to meet. As I do do, I declare that everything that has to do with my health is under your control in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: The Spirit of God will comfort you and make you strong in the name of Jesus. God will deliver you from every evil and temptation in the name of Jesus. He will bring your feet out of the miry clay, set it upon a rock and put a new song in your mouth in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Kingdom Principles and Lessons on Giving - Right Giving Prolongs life.

"But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.".(Luke 12:20-21).

We have been learning quite a lot on kingdom principles and lessons on giving for the past thirty days. Today, we will get acquainted with one more lessons even though there are many more that time and space will not permit us to deal with them here.

Our Lord Jesus gave a parable of a rich fool whose life was cut short because of his foolishness. Why was he foolish? He made so much money and decided to spend all for his pleasure and disregarded God who gave him the ability to create wealth.

God is the source of everything we have and enjoy today. Ironically, quite a few people disregard God and think all they have is through their power or wisdom. Life is spiritual and things that happens to people are not by chance.

It is not uncommon to see precious lives pass away at the prime of their youths through mysterious circumstances. One of the causes of such deaths is the way some people dishonour God. There has been recent debate trending online on whether Christians should pay tithe. Christians are supposed to be encouraged to give much more instead of engaging in such argument.

Don't take lightly the issue of honour you should give to God. There are a few examples of those whose lives were cut short because they dishonoured God. Cain quickly comes to remembrance amongst the list of such people. Priest Eli's two sons died mysteriously also. King Saul who never gave personal offering to God is also in the list. Always give God your very best at all times If you want to enjoy long life and see good days. Make good budget for God next year that is few hours away and you will certainty have overflow of his blessings including long life in the name of Jesus.

Prayer and Confession of Faith: Dear father, I thank you for your grace that is at work in my life. I will give my very best to you always in recognition that you are the source of everything I have. I thank you for preserving my life to witness the last day of this year in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Prophecies: Untimely death is not your portion in the name of Jesus. All things happening to you will work together for your good in the name of Jesus. The eternal purpose of God concerning you will stand in the name of Jesus. You will flourish like a palm tree in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
