His niceness towards you is due to that good thing God put inside of all humans. Now, so many people have allowed one thing or another to suppress that good thing, hence the evil they do.

To some, the reason why they do evil and less good is due to religion. If that friend of yours is truly a Muslim who reads his Islamic texts, he won't even be friends with you cos that will mean he is disobeying Allah. I bet he hasn't come across the below verses.

Who does the Quran refer to as UNBELIEVERS? Anyone who doesn't accept Islam, this includes Christians. See what Allah told Muhammad to do to such people.

If you examine that verse very well, you will realize that Jesus wasn't actually telling you to hate your family. In the verse, he also told you to hate yourself. What he's saying in essence is that you are to neglect anything that will hinder you from following him, even if it's your flesh.

If you had read the entire Luke 19, you would have realized that Jesus was telling a parable. It wasn't a statement of what he is doing.

Now, for Luke 12 and Mathew 10, they both speak of the same thing except that you failed to quote the rest of Mathew 10. If you had done that, you would have realized that the sword Jesus was speaking of is not the type kills or cuts flesh. Rather, it is the type that creates divisions. If you depart from Islam and follow Jesus, your Islamic family will render you an outcast and can even kill you cos Muhammad ordered such. Your following Jesus has created a division between you and your family. That is what the sword Jesus Christ said he brought will do.

Since you lack the spirit, you will never understand the verses and chapters. You, out of your desperation to justify the violence in Islam, was quick to quote them out of context and read the wrong meanings into them.
