The early christian fathers who wrote, translated and explained the Bible for us were deep philosophers. None of them talked on any carnal mind thing, not even Aquinas who proved the existence of God with philosophy.

As much as I understand the point you are trying to make and respect it, I think you are being a bit bias. Freeze didn't condemn all aspects of their preaching but is only pointing out some extravagances. And we shouldn't be blind about that too. For example there was a post he made about an OPM pastor who sold a car gift to pay school fees for orphans and he encouraged others to emulate that.
Though I'm not a ardent follower of his preaching on tithing (I believe in tithing) I see some sense he what he says.

The Bible is there. These preachers know the word,believe in it and practice it. Many preachers do help their members but they don't come on air to announce it like the way the Pharisees do. You need to understand the intention of giving being made publicly by these preachers e.g opm. Most of them give to spite other pastors not necessarily because they are helping humanity. There many underground things pastor Adeboye does to help members but he doesn't involve the press all the time that is because our father who is heaven who sees it rewards his children. Freeze on his own should stick to his calling ( broadcasting) instead of coming on air to cause confusion. If he is bothered about the way this preachers behave,he should approach them directly instead of seeking media publicity. If he is not comfortable he should be silent because God has a way of dealing with his own

For me,from a non Christian point of view I understand freeze's point,but then I disagree with the way he is going about it,I don't see anything wrong with giving a tenth of ones income to the church,I mean that is the person's business not mine even if the money is being used in an unscrupulous manner,the only person who has the right to complain or even sue the pastor is the donor,If he is arguing on grounds that the practice is not quite the way the bible described it,I think its unnecessary because Christianity is built majorly on doctrine,so many things that churches do today are not quite biblical but the church fathers instituted them so contemporary christians just take it that way,a good example is the decision to worship on Sundays, the bible made it clear that the sabbath "must" be observed and it should be on Saturdays but church doctrine changed it to Sundays and not saturdays and people accept it despit the fact that this is clearly stated in the ten commandment s,I really am not too concerned about this tithe stuff because wealth is recycled,even if the pastor uses the money to buy a private jet someone else receives the money and uses it for something else and peoples problems are solved too. Am a Nigerian and I know that after politicians the richest people in Nigeria are pastors,so for sure we know that religion especially christianity has become more of a business,nonetheless let's give this tithe stuff a break,if anyone wants to give a tenth of his income to the church monthly s/he should be allowed to do so whether the money is "misused" or not,after all the person is an adult and can think for him/herself. Am not a christian but my advice to Christians is to stop compelling their ideas on others including other christians,if u re a christian and u espouse the idea of paying tithe go ahead and do so,if u feel it should be giving to poor people do so,if u don't even give to any feel free,no one should compel his ideas on others,

Christianity isn't a religion as most persons think. Christian goes beyond just love and peace. End time prophets are only fulfilling Bible prophesies. Many more Yahoo yahoo pastors as you call them will spring forth. Since freeze is talking about helping humanity which isn't bad,many of these fake prophets will do likewise and send many to hell. If you are a Christian and you study the Bible very well you would see that all we are experiencing are in the Bible
