These ones are carvings found in some dead titled men homes.
A deity is not a mere carving, it's be spirit behind it that matters.

Lol.. About 30 years ago some stupid young men tried carrying the 2800 year old deity carvings in my village to sell to a white man. Their lineage have been paying for it till today.

Everybody in their kindred nobody have been able to build a decent block house not even their children's children even after returning the deity. Fear some of this deity oo.

What is the title of the movie and who directed it? I wanna watch it.

Say NO to idol worship.

What biggest idol worshippers exist in life than Christians and Muslims and Jews who constantly kill and maim people in the name of their religions. We destroy the surviving bits of or history and cry that our kids have no headway! Shame!!

Igbo deities!

They had no clue about malaria, guinea worm, appendicitis, schizophrenia etc until the white man came to black Africa.

Worse still they allowed the white man to take them to their museums.

Fake fake deities.

In the beginning men made gods in their own images.

A Nigerian man has shared pictures of Igbo deities being sold at a museum abroad. According to him, the deities a.k.a 'Weapon of justice' which are constantly being destroyed by pastors in Nigeria and Africa at large - are in demand by foreigners who cherish our culture....

the reason the terrorists can not rule this country. they will just sell off the country and the people therein. very dubious people who can easily be bought over. I know they will abuse me now instead of telling abaribe to bring out the chief terrorist Cownu to come out and dance before the python so that his sins can be forgiven. come and beat me, I'm in my house.

This might be mean, but most Nigerians don't have the intelligence + worldly knowledge to deal with subjects like this, hence the first comment on this thread. In their defence, it's not their fault, their education is crapola.

You have to not be starkly ignorant to approach things like this with maturity.

Re: Igbo Deities Sold In A Museum Abroad (Photos) by omonnakoda: 10:14pm On Jan 27, 2018
Those are not " deities" they are carvings or icons.
Is the the picture of that bearded white man that some of you put in your houses and foolishly call Jesus a deity? Is it an idol?
Is the cross that some of you have in your houses or wear on your bodies not idol or deity?
What about the Arabic inscriptions in your homes or cars or work places are they idols?
People claim to be Christian but are full of superstition.
What did Paul have to say about so called idols? How many even read the bible?

May be the reason Eboeland is cursed today is you have sold all your gods grin

They don't see those effigies as dieties worthy of any any worship but stupidity of African vanities that blinded their minds and make blacks a little, if any, better than chimpanzees.

Where were those dieties when Oyinbos came with a superior God and guns? They colonized igbos like the rest of Africans. They now have a display of African stupidity. Those dieties have been in museums without any attention, they are powerless.

Even funny Yorubas have ridiculous names that show that shows that African dieties are inferior to Oyibos, e.g.

Oguntoyin or Fatoyinbo tha Ogun of iron and war is almost potent as Oyinbo or Ifa, the God
