The specs above does not show LTE bands 7, 8, 20, 28 that are used in Nigeria. Unless the specs are wrong. MTN is band 7 and 20 mostly. GLO is primarily band 28.

As long as it does not support all the LTE bands used there, I stand by my statement that it's NOT optimized!

Wrong. The only LTE band it doesn't support is GLO band 28. You might be confusing the Indian variant with the Chinese variant.

There are two variants of the redmi note 5, the one launched in India and the other one launched in china. The one the op quoted is that of the Indian variant which had limited bands. See attached the Chinese vari

The OP should edit his post tbh, the one quoted here is the Indian variant. See attached the Chinese variant that Nigerians are currently using.
