That's not the point.
The fact that its meaning was pur in the same post conclude that you are out of steam and you need a foothold not to slip

I didn't ask you for any explanation or meaning regarding monkey spirit. I simply wanted to know if you quoted the man of God right, and just as I suspected, you misquoted him, to suit your purpose. grin tongue

Hope you know he is from a family of pastors including his great grand father uncle who brought Assemblies of God to Nigeria.

Hope you know as a young Uni student he was going to shrines with his friends and praying to neuter the activities of the native doctors which at some point even chased him and his friends away when they noticed their juju stopped working.

So tell me how he believed praying could remove demonic influence from a shine as a 21 year old yet you say he did not believe in demons in his early days?

You think CE started in 2000?

Don't mind them

Where did I say their experiences are not real?

I said their experiences will not derive a nomenclature or teaching. That is the error.

shadeyinka:

I think I do understand your position. The only problem is that you look at it narrowly!

There are two sets of people involved
1. The one casting out the demons
2. The one of whom demons is being cast out

The one casting out the demons should trivialise demonic activities because he knows his position in Christ.

However, to the one who has a demon, it is a spiritual reality that she is being tormented by a demon who refers to himself as her husband.

This is what I think pastor Chris was saying.

A demon was saying through a young woman to me "..I will kill you...did this woman say she need deliverance?". I simply told her it wasn't possible because Gods angels watches over me.

She turned to look round the hall as if over 300 angels were around the hall (me I didn't see any angel, I just spoke by faith) and finally faced me quiet. I said, do you see why you cannot kill me!? All I did was to remember the scriptures " nothing shall by any means hurt you...he shall bid his angels charge over you..". That should be the position of a christian.

Where I think we differ is that you seem to trivialise the experience of the demonized as if "these are not spiritual reality" for her.

Spiritual spouse may exist, but to a believer, they are powerless. That is scripture. No matter the name of the demon, they are inconsequential before a spirit filled child of God. A demon who calls himself Lucifer and the one who call himself jovial are in the same category: INCONSEQUENTIAL! That is the position of a child of God when dealing with them.

And honestly that is what I think Pastor Chris was saying.

Hence a demon can assume the position of a spouse to a demonized. That had been my point all along

And the assumption has spurred on a teaching on spiritual husband and wife? Can you not spot the error?

Thanks for the correction. While he was at LoveWorld USA Studio with Benny Hinn, I thought I heard him say grand father though. I could be wrong.

James 5:14
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

This is the scripture, but it isn't the formulae for healing. Of course people will misuse any scripture.

I used Keneth Haggins example because the fact that monkeys do not exist in the bible does not make his experience false.

James 5:14-16 King James Version (KJV)
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him

King James translation should have read: and let them anoint him with oil, and pray over him in the name of the Lord.

Because the oil is customary and plays no role in the prayer of faith. To prove this, James states what provokes the healing: I emboldened it.

His grand father had four brothers, one of them was the founder of AG. His grand father who was his brother's first convert became a pastor in AG.

I watched the biography of pastor Chris at the loveworld archives in 2016 & 2017

I am not going against you on this. I am just saying that even though its in the scriptures, its not the formulae for healing the sick.

Humans will always create traditions from the logos.

I agree with you!

Unfortunately, I don't know any teaching/doctrine on spiritual spouses just like I don't know any on "spirit of infirmity". And that's the truth.

But, I know that so many unscriptural things are done in the name of Ministry. From drama, to hypnotism, to lies, to even plain occultism and 419s.

We also have some sincere guys who are novice in the word of faith all introducing wrong doctrines to the body of Christ.

The scriptures say ," let them grow together...."

May God grant more grace to His own.

I don't think there is problem in the nomenclature "spirit spouse" just in the same manner as "spirit of infirmity" or "spirit of insanity" etc
BUT
The problem is the Error of building Doctrines/Teachings from them.

Scriptures tag all beings that negate the original plans of God in man either by manipulation or oppression through any means dreams inclusive as demons, devils, and they are in cadres according to divine arrangement such as witches, wizards, principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places. There is no where spiritual husbands or wives were mentioned. This is my view in this topic

I see your point.. and that is why today people say you have a spiritual husband and wife and some even have spiritual children and the doctrine goes on and on..

But u need to look at it again and that the context mentioned in the bible is quite different from the doctrine believed by christians today.. the case mention in the bible was a physical transformation of angels to humans and the children were described as humans not spirit children.. and there was an account were God ordered that that whole generation be wiped out so as not to pollute the human race..
.
There is no such thing as having intercourse and giving birth to spiritual demons or children as widely believed by some christians.. A christian giving birth to spiritual children from sex with demons or vice versa !!!!!it is a blatant lie hashed out of hell ...these are lies that came out of the mouth of demons and have now been widely held as truth.
Bros seriously, I dont know how to explain it to you since you have already made up your mind that spirit spouse don't exist. How do I know they exist? I know because I was used to be a victim. If you don't have certain spiritual experience, it doesn't mean that experience doesn't exist.

It is a very bad experience that, if not taken care of with strong fasting and prayer, can make a victim experience a loveless life, poverty, bad luck, failures, frustrations, set backs, hatred by other people, depression, financial difficulties. The victim, if not strong, can even be frustrated in life to make him/her commit suicide.

Spiritual spouse is an ugly reality that some pastors wish never existed. For the fact that it is not in the Bible does not mean it doesn't exist. There are hundreds of spiritual realities that you can never seen in the Bible, just as you cannot see words like suicide or abortion in the Bible. How I became a victim is what I do not know. But I started nothing this evil since I was 17 or 18, when my first girl friend (I loved her but didn't sleep with her. I never implied to be a saint) told me that an entity told her in her dream to leave me, that I will never have the financial means to take care of her. I taught she just had a bad dream but sequence of events in my life made me to always have a reason to ponder on the dream she had about me.

As I grow older and wanted to settle down, this entity started blocking all my attempt to have a stable relationship. Two different ladies told me that they had a dream that a woman warned them to stay clear of me, that I am hers. Besides, I used to dream of sex in dreams. You dnt have to believe me, but don't ignore or deny what you do not know anything about.

Pastor Chris is a human who can make mistakes. If you make a man your final standard and yardstick to measure spiritual realities, you are bound to make a great mistake bro. I can't tell you all my personal experience here, you should thank your star if you are not a victim.

Most cases of spiritual spouse, from the information I have, are ancestral and foundational, and can be peculiar with a particular family line, while some are acquired by by carelessly exposing oneself to familiar spirit through going to spiritual homes and some white garment churches.

On a final note, a Yoruba adage says: an ignorant child sees a sacrifice and call it a vegetable soup.

1. From your comment I can tell that you neither watched the pastor's message nor the videos i posted.
2. Did the girl tell you she was your spirit wife or you deduced from the wrong teachings of others which obviously you have believed?
3. Are you born again?
4. If your answer to question 3 is yes, where was the marriage between you and spirit wife conducted and by who?
5. If your answer to question 3 is NO, then you must be born again. Give your heart to Jesus and submit to His word and authority and all will be well.
6. You have been suffering from demonic oppression. If you're a Christian, stand on His Word and rebuke that devil and refuse to believe or imagine those satanic lies about marriage.
7. I do not doubt your experiences, but we have a bible, a more sure Word of prophecy to stick to until the day dawn. Unless you will rather have us believe in you and your experiences above God's Word?

Your questions are so insightful your reasoning even better. It can only come from God.

Question 2 rattled me. Because it is something we gloss over without even thinking about.

How did they come to know about it? If a demon was the one that told them, so we now take the testimony of demons?

It is clear that a teaching was believed before this experience. And that is the connection. Other wise, how did they know that it was spiritual husband or wife?
