[size=13pt][center]YOU NEED THE SECOND BIRTH TO ESCAPE THE SECOND DEATH[/center][/size]

Memory verse: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

Text: John 3: 1-7; Revelation 3: 13- 15

Everyone desires to live forever in heaven. This privilege was lost when man fell into sin in the Garden of Eden. Although everyone who dies is bound to resurrect, only the righteous in Christ, will enter into everlasting life. The remaining sinful ones will go into the lake of fire, which is the second death (Daniel 12: 2). It is only being born-again that can ensure eternal life for anybody.

The truth is that all have sinned and can no longer lay claim to any form of righteousness. In such a case, the person is bound to face the second death of eternal punishment if he refuses to accept the mercy of God through Jesus our Lord (Romans 6: 23).

Once a sinner dies, there is no second chance for repentance. He must stand before God to be judged. Besides, the rapture, which is the catching away of saints to meet Christ, can take place any time from now, closing the door of mercy and grace. And any youth whose name is not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire. No excuse will be accepted by God.

Some youths are ashamed of being called ‘Born-again’ Christians. Others are too proud to humble themselves before God. Some are completely given to worldly amusements, games and frivolities with no time for God at all. Some are misled to believe that there is always time and that they can defer their salvation till some other day. Still other group believe they have gone too far in sin for there to be any hope. Whatever anyone may consider his own hindrance, God is ever willing to forgive any penitent sinner.

A sincere acknowledgement of one’s sinfulness, genuine repentance with commitment never to go back will open the door of God’s mercy. A heart-felt confession, forsaking of sin and full acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and personal Saviour will bring total freedom from sin and newness of life. There is room at the cross for you. Escape the second death today and start enjoying abundant life in Christ through salvation and righteous living.

what about being born again 3 times, does it mean i escape death three times?

Not unless you have collected 3 extra lives at the hidden stage in level 6

You can only be born twice.
