Her plan for her last year of junior year is to keep her head down and focus squarely on her studies but that wasn't going to be so easy when she bumps into Asher Gray, the hottest guy in the school even though she hasn't paid attention to guys before. Her plans won't be so easy to carry out after all.

These are the characters that are going to be in my story and am sure you will fall in love with them as much as I have.

CHAPTER 1

My name is Andrea Bishop but you can call me Andy. I didn't always like school. I can still remember how I would throw a tantrum each time i was asked to go to school as a little girl. I wasn't a people person and I found it hard to make friends and I still do.
Growing up was fun,I have a younger sister who still doesn't want to accept the fact that am three years older than her. To her, it's just two years and eleven months. My parents are business people and always travel out for conferences and meetings but they still make out time for April and I.
Presently, I am 16 years old and in my last year of junior school at Excel High School in Beverly Hills, California. My house is really big and I took the largest room and that's where most of my sleepovers with Sofia are held, I also drive a 2016 Lincoln Navigator.I am still wondering why puberty has decided not to work on me yet. I am currently sporting full, curly brown hair that reached the small of my back and I normally wear baggy" one size fits all" clothes because to me,its very comfy but I try to dress up sometimes when I feel confident or going somewhere important but that happens rarely.. I have a problem with meeting new people and making friends and that's why I only have one friend and she is the only friend i managed to make since kindergarten. She is my bestie and the most amazing,peppy person you can ever meet. Too bad she is stuck with me.
My bff, Sofia Liao is the complete opposite of me. She's fun,outgoing and makes friends easily. She supports me in every way possible and she always manages to make me smile even in my worst days.

chapter 2

As I walked down the hallway, flouncing by as usual heading to my 3rd period class with a load of books clutched in my hands as the straight-A bookworm that i was, i bumped into a very hard wall-like chest and all my precious books fell down from my hands. Frustrated, I muttered a lot of profanities to myself as I bent down to pick the books and then i heard the most amazing voice ever.
"Are you okay?" I heard a concerned voice say to me. I looked up and saw the cutest guy ever looking at me with worry in his beautiful brown eyes with flecks of gold in them . He had the most beautiful eyes that I couldn't help but get lost in them. I later realized that he had asked me a question and I quickly snapped out of my haze.
"Uhh,yeah,yeah,am fine" I muttered as he bent down to help me pick up my books and when we were through, he asked me if he could walk me to my class. I nodded because I was way too deep in my head and why wouldn't I be? He was just too handsome and dreamy.
"Is this your class?" He asked when we got to the door of the classroom and I nodded in affirmative.
"Cool,I'm also in this class." I looked up at him with shock and happiness combined. I couldn't believe it, this hottie was in my damn class. A big smile spread across my face as I did a happy dance in my head.
"Awesome". I said happily then bit my lip when i felt weird but it didn't matter 'cause he just chuckled. It was the best sound ever.
" Oh dear, he has the most amazing laugh" i thought to myself.
"Well,let's go in then." He said and held the door open for me.
"Well,well, what a gentleman." I teased and he chuckled.
"Yay,you made him laugh" my subconscious cheered.
"Shut up!" I shushed her . He walked in after me and I took a seat closest to the window because I loved looking outside and receiving fresh air as it blows and he took a seat right behind me. The class was hella noisy cause the teacher was late as usual. He tapped me on my shoulder and I turned to look at him and that was when I finally took his appearance in.
He had tousled brown hair, the brownest, almost golden eyes and really pink lips. He was wearing black denim jeans, a plain black shirt,black leather jacket and black boots. He had the whole bad boy look on him,I didn't think I had seen him before because I never really noticed anyone in school except Sofia and the teachers and maybe my partners for any group assignment.
"Uhm, pardon me, I didn't catch your name" he said.
"That's because I didn't tell you." I replied and he smirked.
"Yeah,you didn't. I'm Asher and you are...?" He trailed off.
"Andrea" i said
"That's a pretty name" he said and I smiled
"Thanks, i know right? it's an awesome name,so is yours" I said showing off my pearly whites. I suddenly remembered that i had heard the name Asher before from one of Sofia's numerous babbles about the bad boys in the school that I never listened to.
"Hey,do you have a phone cause I would really like to—" he was cut off when the teacher came in.
"Ugh, really great timing Mr.Gilbert, did you have to come in right now? Who knows if he wanted my number? Oh why did you have to come in now?" I really hoped he would just get on with the lesson and that time would just fly cause I really wanted to talk to Asher more. I knew it's kinda creepy but I couldn't help myself, I already took a liking to him the moment he spoke to me. It was unfortunately history class which was bound to be boring so I just took a few notes and zoned out praying that the bell would ring soon.

"Yippee!!!!!" I shouted happily as soon as Mr Gilbert left the class. I turned around to notice that Asher was fast asleep.
"Awwn, he looks so peaceful" I cooed to myself but noticed that he had a little frown on his face but it didn't make him look any less peaceful. Just then, I realized that i was beginning to grow a crush on this guy that I just met.
The bell signalling lunch hour rung and it snapped me out of my thoughts and it also managed to wake Asher up and when he caught me staring and flashed me a grin.
"Hey you, boring class huh?" He asked me while grinning still.
"Yeah, definitely, it was torture" I replied with a grin of my own.
"Wanna join me for lunch?" He asked me hopefully.
"Nah,i'm sorry but I have to pass,i'm sitting with my best friend".
"Okay, no problem then,see you after lunch". He said to me as he packed up his things , flashed me a smile and walked away. I was staring and smiling stupidly like an idiot until I snapped out of it by my best friend, Sofia screeching in my ears.

"Hey!!! Earth to Andrea!!" Sofia screeched in my ear and I quickly snapped out if my thoughts.
"Come on, you promised me a taco today!!!" She whined.
"Okay, fine am coming, just give me a sec" I said as I was packing my things and together, we walked towards the taco stand in the cafeteria. Sofia bought her taco which I paid for "curse my code of ethics" and also bought for myself. We settled at the lunch table and then my gaze fell on something heartbreaking and this time Sofia's god awful chattering could not bring me out of this.
"No.. This cannot be happening, I thought he had something for me,I thought he liked me" i muttered to myself.
"Andy, did you hear one thing I just said? Andrea!!" I finally heard Sofia yelling and snapping her fingers in my face. I shook my head and turned to face her with a huge fake smile on my face.
"Yes, Sofia, what can I do for you today?" I said sweetly
"Andy, just tell me what's wrong with you, you've been acting weird and I know you are weird naturally but your behavior is just.... Weird" she finished. I sighed and decided to tell her everything.
"Okay,just look over there" i pointed to the table where Asher is sitting.
"Ooh, he is sh-moking hot" she gushed and I just rolled my eyes at her.
"I know, but that's not the main issue,look at those blood sucking leeches sitting with him.
" Ohhh, Precious and Favor,looks like they've found a new prey to feast on"she said
"I know right, I really like him though, I know its just been a few hours since I met him but I feel a deep connection between us but I think its just me that's feeling it" I said sadly.
"Hol' up,hol' up, say what?!!! Sofia shouted." You like him? Like you like,like,like him?" I nod in the affirmative while she just opens and closes her mouth repeatedly like a fish.
"Uhhh, no offense bae but I don't think he will ever like someone like you" I turned to her wide eyed and a little hurt by her words.
"Ouch, that hurt" I said placing my hand over my chest.
"No,no ,I didn't mean it that way but take a good look at him and at those bitches, those are the kind of girls guys like Asher are into not sweet,naive,innocent and no offense, flat chested girls like you" I felt my ego deflate a whole lot by her words but I knew they were true.
"You just have to point out that am flat chested right" I said groaning a little and looking down at my barely there chest.
"Yep!" She said happily with s smug smile on her face.
"You are such a— " I didn't finish my sentence because I looked up and saw Asher smiling down at me.
"You do realize the bell has rang right?" He asked
"Uhh, yeah, I knew that" I said and turned to see Sofia winking at me and pointing to my chest. I frown at her and turn back to face Asher.
"What class are you having now?" I asked
"English with...." He trailed off looking for his schedule in his bag.
"Miss Corbin" I told him before he could bring out his schedule.
"Yeah, always forgetting her name, Are you having English too?"
"No, am having Geography" I felt kinda bad because I really wanted to spend time with him despite what Sofia said.
"Oh, well that's unfortunate but wait a sec, let's compare our schedules and see if we have more classes together" I fetched mine from my bag and handed it to him as we checked it.
"Awesome, we have 5 classes together out of twelve"
"Well, I'll see you later" he flashed me a smoke and walked away and I was left staring at his retreating figure before finally turning around and heading to my class and wondering what the future holds for both of us.

CHAPTER 4

"Finally" I heaved a sigh of relief as the bell went off. I packed my binder into my bag and headed to the door away from torturous geometry class. Thank the stars it was the last class of the day. I reached my locker,punched in my combo and threw my stuff into it and took the important notes and assignments. I looked around for Sofia's bright red hair and spotted her talking to a group of snooty cheerleaders.
“Does she want to try out for the team already?” I thought to myself as I walked towards her.
“—okay guys, I'll see you tomorrow bye" I managed to catch the last bit of the conversation.
"Trying to get in the cheerleaders' good books right" I said smiling at her.
"You know it girl, gotta keep those girls close, they have good connections around here and i love benefitting" she said, flipping her hair.
"I know my hair isn't as long as yours but you don't have to keep showing off" I whined. Her red hair was reaching her butt already and my full,curly brown hair is just reaching the small of my back.
"Now where's the fun in that,huh?" She said with a nonchalant look on her face.
"You're so infuriating, you know that right?"
"That's why i remain the love of your life. "
"Don't kid yourself Li,I said using my shortened version of her surname that only I get to call her. Let's just go" I started pulling her hand until i remember that I hadn't seen Asher since our last class together.
I started looking around for him but didn't spot him. I didn't realize that I had let go of Sofia's hand already until I heard her voice again.
"Looking for someone, hmm" she asked with a knowing look on her face.
"Yeah, have you seen him" I asked hopefully
"You mean,have I seen him at all today?"
"Yeah!!! Have you?" I asked with more hope shining in my brown eyes.
"Nah, am just messing with ya, I don't even know who you're talking about"
I felt my face drop and I felt like slapping Sofia.
"Ha, ha,very funny" I said sarcasm oozing out of my voice.
"Don't gimme that look, who you even looking for?"
Ugh, she can be so clueless sometimes.
"Who else?, Asher of course. "
"Ohhh, nope, haven't seen him since lunch hour. "
I felt disappointment course through me at her words.
"Andy, don't worry, let's just go, he probably already left but you'll still see him tomorrow, its not like he's going to be wiped out of existence tomorrow" she said stroking my arm.
"Fine,let's go. "
We both walked towards my 2016 Lincoln Navigator since Sofia's mom refuses to get her another car after crashing the last one. She said and I quote "She isn't responsible enough to own another car" I remember Sofia throwing a fit for over a week but later stopped when she realized her mom wasn't going to change her judgment.
So i'm stuck with being her personal driver since she won't man up or woman up? whatever, and take the bus so I am stuck with her screeching in the name of singing. Its not that she can't sing, oh no,no,she has a wonderful voice that would make Ariana Grande, Rihanna and every artist jealous of her but she does this just to torment me. I have a wonderful best friend, I know that.
"Will you please tone it down a notch or am throwing you out of this car right now" I said threateningly when her screeching got on my nerves.
"Alright, sheesh, don't get your panties in a twist" she muttered and stuck her tongue out at me childishly.
Yes people, this is Sofia Liao, my best friend but also a big baby, i have come to love her like this and she's also the only friend i have managed to make so we are stuck with each other. She can be fun, annoying and gets on my nerves most of the time, but she's the best friend any girl would wish for.
I dropped her off at her house and she gave me a big,sloppy wet kiss on my cheek.
"Eww, what is wrong with you. "
"That's payback for telling me to shut up. "
"You are the very definition of crazy"
"But you love me!!" She said and bounded up the porch to her house as I drove up and did my best to wipe off the saliva that was on my cheek. I arrived home and packed my cherished car in the garage and went into the house. I figured out my parents weren't as home as usual since their cars weren't in the garage. I know they love us and I love them too but they just spend too much time away from us.
"April should be home by now" I thought to myself glancing at my watch.
As soon as I opened the door, i was greeted with the sight of my sister in all her sports bra and short shorts glory. I guess she just hit the gym since her body was still glistening with sweat. She is the only one in my family who bothers to use the home gym and Sofia of course when she visits. Those two are health freaks.
She never fails to show that her breasts are bigger than mine even though she's just 13,well almost 14 but still the same thing.
"Hey, baby sis" i chirp happily
" Well someone's all prepped up and happy today "came her cool response.
"Really, how could you tell?" I asked
"Well, there's this glow on your face that wasn't there this morning so start talking young Missy" she said cooly.
"I will tell you once you give your big sister a hug" i said grinning at her and spreading my arms out.
"You're stupid, i wonder why we still keep you around" she said , a small smile tugging at her lips
"Because you love me?"
"That's not the exact reason that i'm looking for but let's just go with that for now" she steps forwards and gives me one of her famous bear hugs and I ruffled her hair after.
"Girl, I told you to stop doing that, she whined patting her long auburn hair which is sadly longer than mine, down. I can't still believe she has no pimples on her face unlike me.
"Sorry, its a habit that I just can't get rid of " I said grinning at her knowing it would just infuriate her the more. I love it because she looks like an "Ifrit" when she's angry.
I think I should just better say something nice to calm her down because she looks like she's about to blow a gasket. The various things i get myself into........

CHAPTER 5

At 13,April already has a bust which I have caught many guys staring at a lot, auburn hair that reaches her waist(sadly longer than mine) and flawless dark skin unlike mine.
"Sorry for ruffling your hair... Not sorry"
She simply scowled at me and raised her eyebrow as if asking me to tell her what I want to say from the beginning.
"I can't believe that this is your final year in middle school. I'm so proud of you and can't wait to show you around Excel"she rolled her eyes at me before dropping her pen which I didn't notice she was holding.
"Look, Andy, I already told you countless times that I ain't coming to Excel, am going to Brentwood"I sighed in frustration.
"Whatever you say"she looked at me weirdly and I suddenly felt conscious.
"Is there something on my face"I asked
"No,but I know that is not what you wanted to tell me and you usually argue with me and start preaching each time I mention that am ditching Excel for Brentwood so what gives? Is there something you aren't telling me young Missy "she looked at me sternly
"Come on, am all AGOG, just tell Me already, I know there's something"she said with excitement.
I sighed knowing that I couldn't keep this from her at all no matter how much I would love to. Don't get me wrong, I love my sister and tell her almost everything but I can't predict her reaction. She might be happy or start lecturing me which is weird because am the one that's supposed to be lecturing her as her big sister.
"Imetacuteboytoday, I said hurriedly, there I told you "
She just blinked at


me with confusion In her eyes.
"Come again?" I sighed and said it really slowly as if I were talking to a four year old.
"I... Met.. A... Cute... Boy... Today "
"OMG, spill, spill "she said clapping her hands happily.
"Okay, well, his name is Asher, he's 16 and really cute as I said before, I never really knew he existed before"
"How will you ever know when all you did was bury your nose in your books throughout freshman year till a little before junior year until I persuaded you to have some fun and start noticing your school. You never really paid attention to anyone else in that school apart from teachers and Sofia. Who knows if you had seen him before but your mind didn't register his presence but go on please" she said with a roll of her eyes.
"I guess you're right, anyway, he is tall, I think around 6'0 with beautiful brown eyes, tanned skin, chestnut brown hair and well built " I didn't realize I was day dreaming again until I heard April awwww loudly which was weird cause she never does that
"Awww, he sounds really cute but you know most cute guys with an almost perfect appearance always have something to hide, are you sure you aren't crushing on him already? " she asked slyly.
I rolled my eyes at her, she can be annoying most times but today she's just plain annoying.
"A crush? No.... I mean yes... Well, no... It's complicated..... Okay fine, yes!! I have a gigantic crush on him but it seems to soon to start developing feelings when we just met"
"It ain't weird and it's definitely not to soon. I call that attraction at first sight but anyway I have to go to Lola's to study and there's some left over pizza and lasagna in the fridge. Oh and mom and dad traveled together for a business trip so you have the whole house to yourself from now till I come back. Have fun!!!" She said and grabbed her jacket and bag and ran out of the house.
"Looks like it's just me now " I muttered to myself and padded up the stairs to my room to run a bath and change my clothes and do my homework and maybe watch a movie after i'm done.

CHAPTER 6

I took off my clothes and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower . After the very refreshing shower, I grabbed one of my favorite washed jeans and an off- shoulder striped top. I had the whole nerdy look going on. I decided to change my wardrobe a lil bit to at least look good for Asher. I know, it's mushy right? I picked up my phone from the side table.
I switched on my phone and went straight to Facebook. After fooling around for some minutes, I went to heat up the lasagna and just then, I heard my phone beep. I checked it and saw a text from an unknown number.
***Text message ****
Unknown: Hey baby doll
A. B:heya there, who's this?
Unknown:its Asher
OMG!!!! Asher Gray is texting me!!
"Wait, how did he get my number?" I asked myself but quickly saved his number.
A. B: how the hell did you get my number?
Asher: ooh, feisty... I like it... Anyway, to answer ur question, I have my sources 
A. B: just tell me dude
Asher: Fine.... I hacked into the school records.
A. B: Are you crazy?
Asher: well.....
A. B:isn't that wrong?
Asher: Tbh... It is but ion care...
A. B: u are a crazy person Asher Gray
Asher: and you love me
A. B: dream on boy... Dream on.
Asher: my dreams are of you... Aniway, I just wanted to... Ya kno.. Apologize
A. B: 4 wat
Asher: I didn't tell you goodbye when skool closed, i had to take care of something
A. B: no biggie
Asher: see you tomorrow baby doll
A. B: don't call me baby doll
Asher: but u like it don't you?
A. B: u cray cray.. See you.
I felt giddy after my conversation with Asher and I happily ate my lasagna while staring off into space and as a result, I spilled some of it onto my top.
"Dang it"I said while cleaning my shirt with some napkins.
*****Two weeks later****
Asher and I have been spending a lot of time together and I feel my crush growing into something more, I don't know about him but I feel some chemistry between us. The bell for first period rang and I felt happy because i shared first period with Asher and Sofia. I quickly hurried to first period, history but my happiness reduced a little because that class is so boring. I reach the class just before the late bell rang and enter into class.
I looked around for Sofia's red hair but don't spot her. It's as if she's gone AWOL but I spotted Asher's brown hair and walked towards him and took a seat beside him.
"Hey" I greeted him with a smile.
"Baby doll, how've you been?"
"Been good" and before I could put in another word, Mr.


Gelding... I know, its a weird name.. comes in and I couldn't concentrate on what he's saying because all my attention was on Asher.
"Miss Bishop, will you please stop ogling Mister Gray and focus on the lesson?" I felt heat rise up to my cheeks and silently thanked God that am dark-skinned. I was so embarrassed as everyone turned to look at me and a few of them started snickering but I caught Precious and Favor burning holes into my back of my head with their glares.
"Sorry Mr Gelding" I said quietly.
"It's okay miss Bishop but make sure you focus on the lesson" he said then turned back to the board and starts to write a very boring and long note on the board.
"Psst, baby doll" I heard Asher whisper to me.
"Yeah?" I saw him looking at me apologetically.
"Sorry about the embarrassment"I ducked my head down and brought it back up to look at him.
"Don't worry about that, I face embarrassment most of the time" I mumbled
" I have to, no one embarrasses my baby doll except me" he said with a smirk.
"Ass"
"Yeah, yeah, those are getting old already, anyway, you and me, Saturday evening, be ready" he said
"And I should listen to you? "
"Well you obviously have no choice, if you refuse, I'll just carry you or kidnap you, it's really easy"
"That's not really the best way to ask a girl out dude".
"Well, its my way and my way is always the best" he said cockily
"Well, since you asked so nicely, I said with sarcasm, I'll go out with you"
"Awesome"
Just then the bell rung and I pack my things and looked down at my empty notes and realize I didn't copy anything during class. I'll just borrow his notes.

Me:What do you want this early morning... Its barely dawn
A:look outside baby doll. Its 10am
Me: Whatever, you should be glad am even replying you. I love my sleep
A:I realize that now. Anyway, am picking you up at 5. Dress up for me
Me: yeah yeah, you'll be wowed 
A: that's what am hoping for baby doll. Go back to sleep
Me: yeah, see you later.
I dropped my phone on my nightstand with a goofy smile and went back to sleep. What? Sleep is important.
****one hour later*****
I finally woke up feeling more refreshed and ready to face my dreadful morning. God, I hate mornings. I headed to the toilet to do my business, brush my teeth and went to the adjoining bathroom to have a long, relaxing bath.
After my refreshing bath, I put on some shorts and a top and headed downstairs to find my mom, dad and sister already eating at the breakfast table.
"Sweetie, you're up. Is anything wrong? I hope you know that its a Saturday. I expected to find you sleeping "my dad said and everybody laughed.
"Haha, very funny guys, good morning to you too" I said rolling my eyes and sat down to eat.
"Hope you slept well? "My mom asked
"Yeah, I did"
"Hey, you guys didn't ask how I slept. I could have had a nightmare and you guys wouldn't know" April said with a frown
"Because you didn't have a nightmare"I retorted and stuck out my tongue at her. She rolled her eyes at me and gave me one of her famous death glares. I chuckled and continued eating.
"Mom, dad,


later today, am going on a date"
"For the first time in her life"my sister murmured under her breath but I heard her and threw a piece of bacon at her face. She threw one back at me but I dodged and made to throw another until my mom hit the table.
"No food fights at the table, now Andy, who's the boy you're going out with? "
"A boy in school, his name is Asher Gray"
"You mean Asher Gray? Son of Franklin Gray? The oil magnate? "My dad asked curiously
"Uhm I guess"I replied. Hmm, Asher didn't tell me his father was the popular oil magnate.
"That's great, have fun sweetie" my mom said
"But not too much fun"my dad added.
"Daaaaddd" I whined and he just chuckled.
"No funny business, I'll be watching"my sister said pointing her index and middle finger at her eyes then at me.
"Yes ma'am and thanks mom and dad"
"Sure thing sweetie"
****4 hours later****
I arrived at Sofia's house for my hair and makeup while praying silently that she doesn't destroy my face. I opened the door without knocking cause we've been friends for so long and her house is like mine.
"Honey, am home!!! " I shouted jokingly.
"Andy!!" Sofia rushed over to hug me. I hugged her back and then I heard footsteps behind me and I turned around to see her mom.
"Andrea, how nice to see you again" Veronica(Mrs. Liao) said as she stepped forward to hug me.
"Its nice to see you again Veronica" I replied smiling.
"I'll leave you two alone, have fun on your date Andrea"
"Bye mom" Sofia said and she dragged me to her room."Okay, the crazy lady's gone, time for your hair and makeup" she said with an excited glint in her eyes.
***One hour later***
Sofia made my curly hair even bigger by adding extensions and also tightened my curls with a super thin curling iron to make my hair even bouncier.
She applied foundation which was thankfully not brighter than my future, filled my brows, concealed my spots, contoured my cheeks, added a little blush, applied a light blue eye-shadow and darkened the top, winged my eyes with dark eyeliner and applied mascara to my lashes and red lipstick.
For someone who hadn't touched makeup in her life, I definitely looked beautiful if I do say so myself.
"Wow, I look so different, like a movie star"I said in awe turning my face in different angles to examine the makeup.
"I know, i'm amazing, you don't have to compliment me or wait, you can compliment me now "
"You are an amazing makeup artist"I said dryly and she slapped my arm. "Ouch, fine,it's really beautiful sofy, thanks a bunch, I'll tell you all about the date when I get back"
"Oh you better, now hurry, go home and get dressed, and wait for your prince charming to come and sweep you away"she laughed.

chapter 12


I was just wearing my sneakers in my room when I heard the doorbell ring.
"Get the door April!!!"I yelled
"Okay, you don't have to shout, geez" I heard the front door open and muffled voices and then someone racing up the stairs and my door was thrown open.... rudely.
"Don't you know how to knock?"I asked in exasperation.
"I do, but then, I decided not to"April replied cockily and I shook my head at her.
"Well, well, you got yourself a tall tall drink of handsome sis, he's drop dead gorgeous, you sure you can't lend him to me to take for middle school homecoming?
"In your dreams girl, he's mine. "
"Ah!!! She's already laying claim, nice one"
"Yeah yeah, get outta here."
She stuck out her tongue at me and sashayed towards the door.
"Close the door behind -"I didn't get to finish before she ran out leaving my door ajar. I pinched the bridge of my nose in annoyance. "Why did God have to punish me with this kind of sister"I thought as I raised my eyes heavenward. Just then, I realized that I was probably keeping Asher waiting so I rushed to the mirror, checked my appearance and puffed up my hair a bit and ran out the door and down the stairs to the living room.
On getting there, I met Asher, my parents and April laughing together. "Okay, what the heck?"
"My God, Andrea, you didn't tell us how much fun your date is, I haven't laughed this hard in weeks"my mom said with bursts of laughter.
"Yay, am happy you're having fun"I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Well, we don't want to keep you any longer, go Asher but bring her back by curfew"my dad said.
"Yes sir, I'll make sure she has the time of her life" Asher replied.
My parents left the parlor and went upstairs to sleep.... Again. When they aren't working, what they love the most is sleep. Well, like parents like children. We all love sleep.
When I was sure they left and not peeking from the hallway, I finally had a good look at Asher and damn, he looked mouth watering. He was wearing a black v-neck T-shirt which showed his toned toned chest, ripped black jeans, a gray leather jacket and black boots. His hair was a tousled mess on his head. Oh God, my heart... Stop beating so fast. "Why is he looking at me like that, oh please stop staring at me with that look before my heart turns to mush".
He whistled lowly "damn baby doll, you look absolutely breathtaking" his eyes raked all over my


body and I felt my knees go weak but I composed myself.
"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself"
"Ah, baby doll, I always look good"he said cockily. "Now let's go, our date awaits"

As soon as we got to the front porch, I saw a black, frightening deathtrap which I believe people call a motorcycle.
"That's what we're going in?"I asked with fear.
"Yep yep, its my baby, a BMW R1100RS"he said proudly. It's cool and all but it still looks frightening.
"I know what it is, a sports cruiser but it's still scary"
"Come on, don't be scared, I promise it'll be fun riding on it, just hold on to me, when I turn to the left, you do the same, when I turn to the right, you do so too and you won't fall off.... Hopefully"he said with a smirk and I swatted his arm. "If I die, i'm taking you along, now let's go"he chuckled and handed me a helmet and lifted me up and onto the motorcycle and he got on.
"Wait, aren't you gonna wear a helmet?"
"You're the one who's riding for the first time, your safety is more important. "
"Don't blame me if you fall off and die and possibly kill me too if the bike loses control, I wanna live till graduation dude. "
He held his hands to his chest"Ouch girl, I really do appreciate your utmost faith in me. It warms my heart "he said sarcastically
I wrapped my arms around him"drive dude and don't kill us"
"Hold on tight and I promise not to kill you.... yet"he said and zoomed out to the street. I held on tightly with my face pressed against his back and my eyes closed shut.
"Baby doll, open your eyes, you gonna love this!" He said over the roar of the motorbike. I tentatively opened one eye after the other and looked around but didn't dare remove my arms from his body... Ehh. His body is really hard but comfortable though. We were moving so fast and the wind was blowing at my hair and I really hoped it wasn't messing it up. Slowly but surely, I began to enjoy the ride.
"You're right, this is awesome!! "I shouted at the top of my voice.
"Glad you're finally enjoying the ride!!"he shouted back.
*****30 minutes later*****
I realized that we were way out of town and in the countryside surrounded by trees, bushes and more trees.
"Uhh, Asher?!"
"Yeah?! "
"Where the heck are we?"
"You'll see!"
He slowed down and stopped by the side of the road and killed the engine.
"Now we walk"he said after we had gotten off.
"Am beginning to hate this date already"I muttered but he caught it.
"Don't be lazy baby doll and have some faith in me geez"
"Fine"
After minutes of walking, we finally came to a clearing and I looked around to see the most amazing sight.
"Sweet baby Jesus"I said in awe.

In front of me was the most beautiful sight. No, beautiful can't even begin to describe what I saw.
There was a beautiful waterfall that looked like falling crystals entering into a brilliant pool of water that made it look like liquid stars, beautiful birds flying above and on the land, there was a picnic mat with picnic baskets containing varieties of food... my favorite food.. And rose petals in the shape of a heart scattered around the mat. I stood trans fixed gazing at the amazing scenery so I didn't notice Asher sneak up on me to whisper in my ear.
"Surprise"he said lowly. No guy had ever done something so amazing for me. I finally regained my ability to speak after being awed.
"Wow.. Asher... It's just so... Wow... I don't know the right words to use to describe this. How did you even find this place?"
"It's my favorite place. Am really hoping that it could be our favorite place"he replied. I've never had a favorite place so damn, am taking this one.
"It's become my favorite place too"I murmured but he caught it.
"Am glad, now our picnic awaits us".
******After eating*****
"Sweet heavens, that was so goood"I said as I moaned in satisfaction. From the food, not whatever you all might be thinking. "How did you even know the kind of food I like?"
"I have my ways"he said with smoulder that made my breath get caught in my throat but then I cleared my throat.
I deadpanned"Sofia told you right?"
"Fine, she did. You can't let a guy have his moment can you?"
"Nooope"I said popping the 'p' and he shook his head and smiled. God, he should never wipe off that smile again."So, let's play a game"
"What game?"
"You ask me a question then I answer then I ask you a question and you answer. "
"So...in a nutshell, you want us to have a... conversation?"he said with an amused glint in his eyes.
"Umm... Yeah.. That's.. What I meant"I mentally face palmed at my stupidity. Sue me for not going on a date before.
"Why don't you start by telling me something about yourself that I don't know ?" He asked
Well that's not hard to answer, but with the way he's looking at me as if he wants to ravish me makes it a little bit harder for me to answer. "Okay Andrea, just use your vocal cords to form words


and then sentences and you can go on from there"I thought to myself.
"Well,I guess through your "research"you would have found out my birthplace and all... Uhm.. Let's see.. I love k-pop, movies with action, adventure, comedy and a Lil bit of romance thrown in here and there, favorite color is green, I love music, I am NOT good at sports at all and I love food, dislike being without food,my hobbies include shopping for food and just seeing food" Okay maybe I should have left that part about food out.
Asher looked at me, blinked and then started laughing.
"Holy Bleep, your hobbies and likes and dislikes are all about food"he said between laughs.
"What? I"m being honest, I love food"
"Well that's something we have in common, I also love food. I spend most holidays trying out different cuisines"
"Me too, one time, I traveled to Africa particularly Nigeria with my parents when they practically forced me and damn, their jollof rice was simply.... Exquisite. I thanked my parents for forcing me to go after having it. "
"Maybe one day, we could go eat this jollof rice. Oh yeah, have you watched Jumanji?"
"I just saw it, it had all my favorite things all in one"and just like that the conversation continued with neither of us running out of things to discuss about. For the first time, I felt really free with a guy. I felt like I could talk to him all day without getting tired.

"Baby doll"he called after we just finished the last piece of cake.
"Yeah?"
"There's just one strawberry left"
"Yeah I see that... and I call dibs on it"
"Come on, you ate almost all the strawberries at least let me have this" he whined with an adorable pout.
"Fine, we'll settle this with a game of rock, paper, scissors, okay?"
"That's better"
"Okay then, rock, paper—"I didn't wait to finish as I grabbed the berry and plopped it into my mouth and chewed it slowly emphasizing each slow movement of my mouth.
"Girl, you play dirty"
"You weren't fast enough dude"I said smirking.
"We'll see who's fast enough"he said with a devilish smile on his face that reminded me of the time a tiger once smiled at me at the zoo. I know I wasn't seeing things, it actually smiled..like it wanted to eat me and enjoy every minute of it. And that's the way Asher is smiling at me. Uh oh...
He removed his jacket and lunged at me. I shrieked and started running around with him close behind pursuing me and am sure he was enjoying this as he wasn't even breaking a sweat while I was beginning to pant in exhaustion. The sneaky son of a bachelor.
He finally caught up to me and said "baby doll, I hate to say this but you have the physical fitness of a really enormous panda"
"Hey, I am very fit thank you very much, you're more faster and more fitter than me by the way. "I said frowning but deep down, I knew I should really work on my fitness.
"And it looks like you can't run anymore"he whispered, his hot breath fanning across my face. I smirked and pushed him backwards.
"Can't i?" I asked but before I could take three strides, he grabbed me and threw me in the lake. I came up for air with anger in my eyes but the idiot.. the really handsome idiot just stood there laughing his ass off.
"Oh.... You can laugh right? You are so gonna pay for this Asher, you just messed with the wrong panda"I threatened.
