The Nigerian Union of journalist has her own Code of Conduct that every media practitioners or journalist must adhare strictly to. These NUJ Code of conduct is practiced by all journalist in Nigeria, it is a constitutional laws that guides the practice of Journalism in Nigeria.


In the same vein, NUJ Code of Conduct can also be called Code of Ethics. This is because all laws journalism practice are enshrined in one constitution. Therefore, we are going to know the laws that will enable journalist practice their profession uprightly without and compromise. Meanwhile, it has been established since 1936 provided by UK and Irish.


NUJ Code of Conduct

The following are the NUJ Code of Conduct enshrined in Journalism constitution;

A journalist :

1. At all times upholds and defends the principle of media freedom, the right of freedom of expression and the right of the public to be informed.

2. Strives to ensure that information disseminated is honestly conveyed, accurate and fair...
