And that’s why I said it’s a foreign animal not native to the African continent.
Being native is subjective since its a tool use in warfare in these past times; Asia, Africa(Ethiopia &north Africa), Europe. The only reason it was not successfully reared here, is the same for most beast of burden.
Camel= rakunmi
Donkey= ketekete
Horse= esin

It’s not a tool in warfare in most sub Saharan Africa bar maybe Egypt and other parts of North Africa.
If I have spare time I will check or ask my guys on the Carnivora forum to see how or when horses came to the African continents then I will post it.

But the truth is that it isn’t native here.

You see, you are not a student of history. Hope you know Hausa and Fulani has calvary (if you know what it means), the old Oyo empire has a calvary too.

Have lived in village before. Ikamudu is black and big while the one you are talking about is ijalo or erun. They kill all sort of animals and can move through roads in thousands.

They’ve stinged me like mad before and I will never forget such events in my life. Never

I had to made some research and it's quite confusing
sammyfrosh:

This is a toad and it’s inedible.

The one in the second pic is a frog which is the one we eat.

Toad is the one most of us referred to as frog which is incorrect because the one which we eat is the one that’s a frog.

Akurakuda is the corruption of the English crocodile. The word for crocodile in Yorùbá is Ọ̀nì.

native of where? You know there are other cultures having names for it, I'm not talking of borrowed names o. The point it is 'esin' is known to the Yorubas before this contraception we're in come into fruition.

Peddling sad

See it annoys me when i see yorubas going as far as mecca to trace similar words

When thier nearest neigbour edos have similar words with them there is no tribe ethnically and linguistically closer to the edos than yorubas in nigeria

Elephant in edo is called erin
Ugbo( Bush)
And so on

A man without eye, understanding or wisdom knows that it's not possible for people in more than 150 LGAs and in about 9 states, also in about 6 other countries to come out from people with less than 7 LGAs, no matter how strong you people have refused to give birth or engaged in family planning. Igodomigodo rather came out from Eastern Ondo state, one of the Yoruba's state with 18 LGAs.

Continue wailing on every thread bro, Bini is nothing to Yoruba except her ruling house. Everything from your Oba, Aiyelala, Ogun, Umole and other culture, religion, traditions and many names of persons and things are Yorubas!

Yeah I know right. Since they both resembles each other. But most frogs are semi aquatic i.e they live in watery environment while toads lives on land.
Another ways to distinguish both of them is their webbed feets that’s more pronounced in frogs but not in toads.
