95% of them have all been killed from yoruba land. Shame. There is no tiger in africa so why would yoruba have a name for it

The fact that there are no tigers in Africa doesn't mean our forefathers were not aware of its existence.

Come on!

AMOTEKUN OR ALANGBA MEANS LIZARD
Amotekun is different from Alangba

While alangba is an Agama lizard

crocodile is ooni.
Like Ooni of ife.
Akurakuda is whale
I think it’s pronounced oni.

I don’t really know about Akurakuda but since it sounds like how one pronounced a Crocodile I always have the impression of it being a Crocodile.

Also a Whale is Erinmilokun.

not just earth worm, some other animals there are clearly pronounced in bini by the yoruba people

It is Bini that borrowed the words from Yoruba...

Their pronunciation is clearly alien to Bini.

But there is no tiger in Africa. Tiger can never be Ẹkùn
Ekun was originally a name for the leopard but can be substituted when referring to a tiger too.

Thanks for sharing but I don't know how you got the name for tiger since tigers are not native to Africa.
Yes they aren’t native to Africa and Ekùn was the name for the leopard but since people got to know about tigers and because it has no name in Yoruba language, people started referring it to as Ekùn since it behaves similarly to the leopard.

Ìkan and Ikamudu are not the same.
Ikan as translated here is termite BUT Ikamudu is different. Ikamudu is bigger and black. Anywhere just one Ikamudu is, there is always some kind of foul odor.
Termites bites but Ikamudu stings (dreadful, I never came near it, except I want to kill it)
I need to know Ikamudu's correct English name.
Good work, though.
I think ikamudu might be stinking bug in English don’t really know too.

It’s actually a name for the leopard but can also be used for other members of the cats family like tigers.
