Wladimir Klitschko to fight Nigeria's Samuel Peter

BERLIN — Wladimir Klitschko will defend his heavyweight titles against Samuel Peter of Nigeria in Frankfurt on Sept. 11.

Klitschko's management group announced on Friday that the holder of the IBF, WBO and IBO belts has lined up Peter to replace Russian Alexander Povetkin, whom he was originally slated to fight.

Povetkin, a former Olympic champion, failed to appear at a news conference this month to promote the open-air fight at Frankfurt's soccer stadium.

Klitschko said his previous fight against Peter in 2005 was "one of the hardest of my career."

Peter sent Klitschko to the canvas three times before losing on points to the Ukrainian.

Klitschko has 54 victories in 57 fights, while Peter is 34-3.

Peters beat hell out of this particular Klitschko when they met, he only lost through points, Peters fell the guy 3 times in that fight and i believe Peters' going to defeat him this time around.

SOME NIGERIANS DO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT WE HAVE 2 KLITSCHKOS, Wladimir is different from Vitalis, the former was thoroughly beaten by Peter but won by split points, while the latter beat Peter, lets take time to learn before speaking and not just speak.
