Does Anyone Really Have The Holy Spirit? by NPComplete: 8:14am On Dec 09, 2018
Over the years I have always maintained that nobody has the Holy Spirit. Not even your pastor, not your prophet and not even you. Most times it is just a hunch that zealous Christians, needing to convince themselves that they are special, call the Holy spirit. The events of the past week with Oyedepo and his egregious intellectual incompetence has convinced me to double down on that opinion.

I have maintained that if you do a thorough scientific research of the life of the average Christian screaming about having the holy spirit and compare it with the average Muslim, Buddhist and atheist, u will find almost no difference in the results they have been able to achieve. How is it possible that one claiming to carry the power and spirit of the creator of the universe does on average achieve the same result as one who doesn't? Only one possible conclusion can be drawn from that. Either anyone can have the Holy spirit regardless of religion or no one does.

The Holy spirit is supposed to be the spirit of God. The spiritual embodiment of infinite power and intelligence. We supposedly have that much power possessing numerous Christians in Nigeria yet we have nothing to show for it. Something must be wrong somewhere. If I am possessed by the spirit of Einstein, at the very least I should become good at theoretical physics. If someone becomes possessed by the spirit of Magnus Carlsen someday, at least we should expect that the person becomes very good chess.

So what have Nigerian Christians with their claims of Holy spirit achieved?

Nigeria is where it is today and Africa is being ravaged by droughts, famine and HIV today yet we are unable to come up with solutions to them despite the number of people literally carrying God inside them. Why? With that much access to the creator of the universe, one would think that any of these people would have found innovative solutions to these problems that no one has seen or ever thought of.

Oyedepo was in church reading out satire like a real story and making claims on it. At no time during that self-deprecating episode did the Holy Spirit in him whisper to him and say "hey dude, this is satire". Shouldn't the Holy spirit know something as simple as that? Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that save for Oyedepo and the spirit inside him. Later I read somewhere about him predicting or saying something about 2019. How can we believe he sees the future when he can't even see what is in front of him?

It seems the only time the Holy spirit works is when pastors want to collect money from you. That's when you hear them claiming "I am being moved my the spirit to raise an offering". But solutions to real practical problems can never be given to them by the spirit.

Lastly, the sheer amount of dumb Christians running around is enough sign that none of these people have any spirit inside them let alone the Holy one. If I am smarter than you are then you don't have the Holy spirit since I can't be smarter than God.

So Christians should stop blaspheming against God and dragging Him into any decision they make. We all know most of those decisions don't always come out right anyway.

Lol. I am even waiting for Christians in this section to come and dispute this but they are no where to be found. Maybe lalasticlala and Seun can help me get more audience to dispute this. If there is even a remote chance I am wrong I will like to hear sensible arguments supporting it.

Are you sure you want to hear a counter argument? Last time I offered something like that, it didn't seem to suit you very nicely. Or perhaps you had some very important but undisclosed reason for quitting the discussion. Still, courtesy does demand that you explain that you will not be carrying on with a discussion preferably with some clearly defined reason. But I never press for that. I bother to state it here and now because many of your kind do stuff like this with no intention whatsoever to hear any answers or counters. It's just an opportunity to annoy Christians because you can.

Now, regarding your argument...

1 Corinthians 1:17-29
[17]For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void. The Wisdom of God
[18]For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
[19]For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the cleverness of the clever I will set aside."
[20]Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
[21]For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
[22]For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;
[23]but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
[24]but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
[25]Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
[26]For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;
[27]but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
[28]and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,
[29]so that no man may boast before God.

1 Corinthians 2:7-8
[7]but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory;
[8]the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;

I could go on. But the gist is this: God's Way of measuring wisdom and intelligence etc is very different than yours. So, Christians may appear fools to you but in God's eyes, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is great wisdom indeed.

Now, I am not answering for Oyedepo or for any other believer out there. I cannot speak for them. But I can say that not everyone who claims to be a Christian - and, in many cases indeed, who truly is a Christian - is really following Christ as they should be. Still, even for those who truly are, your standards are the wrong ones to measure the Holy Spirit by.

As it is, this world is the devil's domain. This is his own spiritual headquarters. Christians are interlopers in this world. We are passing through. We don't belong. So it can hardly be expected that we should be trying to fit in or even be trying to rise through the ranks. We are here to undermine Satan, not to work with him. So, while, of course, we do many of the things that you unbelievers do - we work, play, keep friends, build families etc -, we have completely different goals. You may be competing to prove your greatness here in this world and that is fine for you, but Christians have a different mandate: we are fighting for greatness in another world which is coming to replace this one.

For this reason, our attitudes and even our methods and outcomes are likely to differ. What the Holy Spirit was given to believers for is to enable us to fight through an increasingly hostile world to get to the marvelous rewards of the world to come, not to prove that we are better at doing the things of this life than unbelievers whose world this is anyway.

Ihedinobi3 my guy.
You have dribbled. But unfortunately you couldn't score. Even in the bible we heard of Joseph who was able to forestall famine in the land of Egypt because of the gift of God. We know of Daniel and his 3 friends who far exceeded expectations in wisdom because of God's hand upon them.
Now the new testament is supposed to be about an even greater covenant and ability to do greater things than Jesus did. So I ask you, Ihedinobi, can you tell me with a straight face that u are even able to do half of what Jesus did?
Paul himself with the Holy spirit was able to tell that Ananias and his wife were lying. I am sure with that same power, he could have easily located Chibok girls, tell us where Shekau is hiding and expose ISIS. So don't come here and lie that Christianity is not about signs and wonders. That is a blatant attempt at shirking responsibility.
The question is why is it that modern Christians cannot move a pebble never mind mountains?

Not all who claim to be the Lord JESUS CHRIST'S are truly sanctified by Him. "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." - 2 Timothy 2:19

The Lord GOD truly indwells His own - "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." - John 14:17

"And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." - Galatians 4:6-7

It is expedient not to focus on the actions of others to our own unbelief... at the end of the day, everyone is individually accountable to GOD by himself/herself - "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." - Philippians 2:12

Peace and blessings!

I get your point and i also understand what Ihedinobi is talking about.
That you have met nobody walking in that dimension doesn't mean there is nobody working in that dimension or that dimension does not exist.

You are obviously a blacksliding christian, a christian looking for answers or an unbeliever trying to shake Some tables.

That you haven't seem a man electrocuted by electricity doesn't mean that electricity isn't real or can't kill.

Joseph. Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah. Peter (not Paul).

Interestingly, these are in the really small minority of believers. It shouldn't be difficult to notice that the vast majority of believers barely receive a mention in the Bible, not least because they don't do "remarkable" things. Let me see if I can give you a list:

From the OT:

Abel
Rebecca
Judah
Amram
Jochebed
Manoah
Naomi
Ruth
Boaz
The Shunnamite woman
Obadiah, Ahab's chief of staff
Naboth
Baruch, Jeremiah's assistant

From the NT:

John the Baptist
Luke
Timothy
Aquila
Priscilla
Ananias (the disciple through whom Paul was baptized with the Holy Spirit)
Titus
Philemon
Onesimus
Epaphroditus
Junia

To be honest, this is a small selection of believers from both eras. It is hard to remember them, it is true, because they are not particularly remarkable in the way it matters to you. But when you think of it, apart from the great military victory that Abraham won over the four kings when he rescued Lot, he was just as unremarkable. Elisha grew old and fell sick and died in spite of all the people he has healed and the dead he also raised. Daniel could not rescue Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah although God did deliver them and incidentally, that was the only thing of significance about them in Daniel's story. Even Daniel lost his place after Nebuchadnezzar. It was because of the supernatural incident with the handwriting on the wall that he was remembered in the king's court again.

Joseph? He died in Egypt and had to entrust his body to later generations to return to his home country. He always considered himself a foreigner in Egypt.

Peter? He was eventually killed according to Christian tradition.

None of these people, except Joseph and perhaps court officials like Daniel and his friends really had much in this life. Peter was poor, like Paul.

It isn't wise to talk about things you don't know as if you do know, friend.

Maybe the Holy Spirit was late to church that day?!

Trust his sheep to come up with a lame defense. Just read one this year evening that cracked me up. He said the reason faith Oyedepo was sent abroad for treatment wasn't because Oyedepo didn't have the power to heal her, but her faith wasn't enough.

I literally spit out my drink. grin

30,000 Christian sects with each accusing most of the others of being heretics and from the devil then getting the same treatment back form those they're accusing while all claim to have been convinced by personal divine revelation from the holy spirit
Christianity is 2000 years of everyone making it up as they go.

Its also thought provoking that holy spirit seems to agree with each Christian even though the holy spirit of one Christian would disagree with the holy spirit of the other

The holy spirit of deeper life members agree with the deeper life doctrine and dressing fully. the holy spirit of Christ embassy agrees fully with the Christ embassy doctrine and dressing.
Meanwhile Christ embassy dressing is condemned by Deeper Life doctrine.

LOL.

Is that the reason that YOU don't engage me? Nice. As it is, I don't come to Nairaland looking for engagement. I only note behaviors like yours in order to always remind you that you don't truly care about the truth. You are here to bully Christians and you turn tail and run when any one of us really stands up to you.

As for what I said, you gave a list of five people who you believed were the correct examples of what being filled with the Spirit of God should be like. My answer was to give you a list of even more people who were equally believers who were not as remarkable as those ones you mentioned. Then I also explained that if indeed it was a matter of this world, that is, that having the Spirit of God should make us great in this world, then...

• someone like Elisha who raised the dead ought never to have died himself;

• Abraham who was God's friend too ought to have been much more remarkable;

• Joseph should have been able to simply command to have his body buried wherever he wanted;

• Daniel should have been able to awe Nebuchadnezzar into leaving his friends alone.

As long as we are following your logic, these things ought to have happened. But the Bible is clear that that is not what having the Spirit of God is about. Believers have a completely different reality to deal with for which their need for the Holy Spirit is simply without doubt and that is where the operation of this tremendous Gift from God is most clearly recognizable.

To illustrate...

• I have been growing spiritually with the invaluable Help of the Holy Spirit.

• Without Him, I would not even begin to understand much that I have been taught in the last fourteen months or so.

• And without Him I most certainly would not be able to handle all the challenges that you and your ilk have been throwing at my Faith.

• Not to mention the challenges that the devil has been throwing at me independent of your own efforts too on a daily.

To get from initial Faith to full maturity and then survive the tests of spiritual maturity and go on to fulfill ministry in this evil life is not beans. If it was, you wouldn't be talking about Oyedepo. You would be very wary of challenging Christians at all because just opening your mouth in the presence of one might fetch you incredible embarrassment. Many Christians are not bothering with spiritual growth precisely because it is very hard indeed. In fact, some of them dropped out of the program entirely to become atheists and begin to harass their former fellow soldiers. This is what the Holy Spirit continues to help me with. Having Him is why I have confidence that when the Tribulation begins in a few short years, I will be ready for it.

Now, are you going to complain about another wall of text in another reasonably paragraphed post or are you actually going to bother to give intelligent objections (since being intelligent is such a big deal to you)?

The Holy Spirit was sent to the disciples after Jesus ascended. So why're you talking about those that lived before then?

Good day Mr OP@NPcomplete.
By the special Grace of the Almighty God I am a born again Christian and proud to be his second begotten and
among His children through our Savior Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Sir, if I deny the fact that I don't understand what you stated above I have no truth in me and proved myself a liar.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and He alone is the mystery behind all mysteries, secret behind all secrets and the wisdom behind all wisdom. The essence of the Holy Spirit in us as Christians is to LIVE THE EXACT LIFE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IN WISDOM, POWER, FAITH, LOVE AND MERCY WHILE HE WAS ON EARTH CARRYING THE BODY OF SIN OR FLESH.

Most Christians know at least little or nothing about the HOLY SPIRIT THAT INDWELLS EACH AND EVERY CHRISTIANS and that's the reason many of them don't function the way they ought to. Not only today's Christians but we also found out that the Corinthian and Galatian Christians in the Holy Bible were once engaged in this mess.

The SOLE reason why the Christians of today are still IN HYPOCRISY AND MEDOCRITY is because they don't know that THE HOLY SPIRIT INDWELLS THEM and as a result of this fact majority of Christians are into the WORKS AND AFFAIRS OF THE FLESH.

You cannot be a friend of the World as a Christian and also be a child of God at the same time and this is the reason I love this kind of arguments you just raised up, the Freethinkers, Atheists, Muslims and other unbelievers who are used by Satan to caused problem to the Body of Christ on the NEGATIVE SIDE but helping Christians to WAKE UP AND GET OUT OF THE AFFAIRS OF THE FLESH AND STICK TO THE HOLY SPIRIT ON THE POSITIVE SIDE.

The men of old in the old testament like Abraham, Noah, Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Joseph, Daniel, Shedrach, Meshach, Abednego etc. were able to perform wonders by the help and comfort of the Holy Spirit even under the law except for Abraham and Joseph who were not under the law as stated above because they focus on the Lord God Almighty and on Him alone. This men have been able to gain mastery with the Holy Spirit and possess a momentum that was far above the works of the flesh and the affairs of the world and this is the simple reason they were called GREAT.

You even find out that Jesus Christ at the age of 12 posseses a wisdom that was even above the wisdom of the wise among the Pharisees and other scribes. Others like Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, Apostle John also possess same characters of Christ Jesus. This shows that one with the Holy Spirit ought to be above the world because we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
Even Jesus Christ promise us that we can be able to do greater works when the Holy Spirit will come and indwells us because we are under GRACE. But you find out that majority of Christians have not been able to meet up to this expectation because most are into the WORKS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE FLESH.

Since most Christians still put FRESH WINE INTO OLD WINE SKIN which ought not to be, we will not be able to function as Christ Jesus to bring men into the light from darkness even when the Holy Spirit indwells us.

However other Christians that have been received dealing from God through the Holy Spirit have been able to change Atheists, Muslims, Freethinkers etc to the Lord Jesus Christ through signs and wonders, power and miracles even though you have not heard of them.

And so, we Christians should come as one body that we are and move in the direction of the Holy Spirit and prove to the world that yes the Holy Spirit is in us and working through us in order to bring men into the light of God which is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Again, we Christians are not after the so called greatness of this world, the fame, the riches etc because they are temporal and nothing compared to the eternal greatness that is waiting for us after this life.
However in whatever way the Holy Spirit leads us whether in Politics like Joseph, Daniel, Esther or in Military like Gideon, Samson or as a tax collector like Zacchaeus etc in greatness, fame, riches or nothing, our major goal is to lead men to the Lord Jesus Christ who is a PERFECT REST FOR MANKIND.

So in essence Mr OP@NPcomplete we as Christians can't live up to the expectation of Christ Jesus and more than as you have stated above even above the average unbeliever if we continue to get entangle in the AFFAIRS AND WORKS OF THE FLESH AND THEREBY REFUSING TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE OF CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD AND ALSO IN SIGNS, WONDERS, POWER AND MIRACLES.

Sir, you too can even do more than the great men in the Holy Bible if you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you because He alone can reveal all the truth you need on earth not Me, Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter or Apostle John because the HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH AND WE RECEIVED HIM BY FAITH AND FAITH ALONE.
And should in case you are not born again better do so and give your life to Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior because our time here on earth is far spent.

May God continue to bestow His Grace, Love and Mercy through the Holy Spirit so that the eyes of men will find, see and abide in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Hope I was not sentimental or biased.

Thanks.

God bless you.

Oga are you a Christian or a Jew? What in the name of Neptune are you rambling about Elisha, Abraham, Joseph and Daniel? You don't even understand the religion you're trying to defend.

The Holy Spirit was sent to the disciples after Jesus ascended. So why're you talking about those that lived before then?

No wonder you all are so confused. Mixing and matching any part of the bible to suit your immediate need.

Forget that one, he's the most confused rambler that I know here. He just writes long and meaningless epistles just to explain absurdity away. He doesn't even believe in the nonsense he claims he believes in. Jesus in the bible we are told mentioned signs that his followers will have and abilities they will also posses, so that unbelievers will see and believe, yet he is all blabbing and talking all over the place. The guy is just a ridiculous joke.

You should listen to your signature, friend.

I am assuming that you mean here that Christianity has nothing to do with the Tanakh (the Old Testament) and that the old Testament is an entirely different religion, correct?

If my assumption is correct, on what authority do you make such a claim? Why should I accept your claim that I cannot speak of Daniel, Joseph, Elisha and Abraham as a Christian?

As for your claim about the Holy Spirit, you are correct but the seeming insinuation there that the Holy Spirit was not part of Old Testament faith is very wrong. And, in fact, if you were right, you would instantly make NPComplete wrong as well for naming the people that he did.

Here is something David (the second king of the kingdom of Israel, as Old Testament as they come) said:

Psalms 51:11
[11]Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

This is something God said to Moses (the major figure of the Tanakh):

Numbers 11:17
[17]Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it all alone.

This is another thing God said of another believer of the Exodus times:

Exodus 31:3
[3]I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,

The name of the man in this last passage was Bezalel.

In fact, all of the writers of Scripture from the Old Testament had the Holy Spirit inside them when they wrote. And all Old Testament prophets including Enoch, seventh generation from Adam, had the Holy Spirit inside them as they prophesied. An example of such a thing is Saul, first king of Israel:

1 Samuel 10:10-11
[10]When they came to the hill there, behold, a group of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him mightily, so that he prophesied among them.
[11]It came about, when all who knew him previously saw that he prophesied now with the prophets, that the people said to one another, "What has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?"

All Old Testament believers had the Holy Spirit with them although rarely in them. But you are right that after the Lord Jesus resurrected, He was given to live inside each believer permanently unless the believer stops believing.

So, my friend, perhaps you know far less about the Bible than you think you do. Again, listen to your signature. It's very good advice.

Sounds to me like you know when you are beaten. Good. If this post confuses you too, compare what you said up above to your normal style of talking to Christians. If Christianity is such a foolish idea, I don't think you would be afraid to actually engage it when you finally see it as it really is.

Claims are always easy to make. It's always the proving that is hard. Isn't that why you cannot actually address arguments I make, dalaman?

You don't make arguments, you just talk off point addressing things people don't even talk about. When you are challenged you always claim people misunderstand you. Which arguments are you making in this post? The OP has made his point. Christians claim they have a part of God which they call the holy spirit but we are et to see them do anything or solve any problem using this holy spirit at all. Your own argument to this is what? What is the use of the Holy spirt if it can not be used to solve basic problems? How can you claim.to have God living inside you but yet you know and can do nothing?

My very first post answered his arguments. He too knows it because he said as much. The problem was that he didn't quite realize that I had already scored - which is why he took off running and complaining about walls of text when it was only Truth that scared him, Truth which himself knows quite well although he thought his great intellect would protect him from it.

Your first post was just riddled with falsehoods, no wonder he didn't want to engage you any further.

For example you claim that:

"What the Holy Spirit was given to believers for is to enable us to fight through an increasingly hostile world to get to the marvelous rewards of the world to come, not to prove that we are better at doing the things of this life than unbelievers whose world this is anyway".

The bible always talks about Christians being able to do greater things than the unbelievers because they have the spirit of God in them. No where in the bible does it say that Christians will be less than unbelievers in doing exploits. The bible that even says Christians shall do greater things than what Jesus did. Then you conclude that the world belongs to unbelievers. Something that isn't even written anywhere inside the bible. Shown me where it says that the earth belongs to unbelievers. The bible in many places clearly states that the earth belongs to God. You just go about with empty claims and when people fail to address them because of how off you've gone you run around claiming Victory. Your arguments are very boring sincerely speaking that'swhy I don't like engaging you myself.

The Holyspirit was not given to us so that we can be better than the unbeliever in earthly gain but was given to us so that we can effectively witness Christ to the world.

Acts 1:8 New International Version (NIV)

One difference between me and you and others like you is that if I make a claim, I back it up. That is my debate ethic. It is only common sense but one has to cajole you into doing the same. Then when you do try to back up your claims, it is with a lazy handwaving that is supposed to miraculously prove your claim.

Here you have said that my first post was riddled with falsehoods, then you proceeded to discuss one as an example. If there are falsehoods, your job is to demonstrate that there are more than one and show how what you claim to be a falsehood actually is one so that anybody reading gets it. Then I would know what I am defending. But as it is, I have to tease out of your post what the falsehoods are besides the one example you gave so that I can even get what you are objecting to. But where are the arguments to back up your claims? Scanty at best.

In any case...

1. My claim that the Holy Spirit was given to believers to enable us to fight through a hostile world to get to the marvelous rewards of the world to come rather than to prove that we are better at doing the things of this life than unbelievers.

You claim that my claim is a falsehood. It is not clear why you think so because you proceed to make a lot of claims about what the Bible says without a single passage of the Bible to actually demonstrate that you know or have some idea what you are talking about. Still, I will demonstrate how my claim is true.

John 14:16-17
[16]I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
[17]that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

John 14:26
[26]But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

John 15:26-27
[26]"When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,
[27]and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

John 16:13-15
[13]But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
[14]He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.
[15]All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

First and most obvious, nothing in these passages says anything like having the Holy Spirit should practically make Christians rule this world.

Second and more important, everything said in these passages mean just one thing: that the Holy Spirit is in believers for the purpose of Truth. He helps us learn it, believe it and apply it as well as teach it to others. All of that is evident in those passages. And all of that is exactly what my claim said.

But if the language confuses you (as you and NPComplete appear to consistently complain about)...

Ephesians 6:11-13,17
[11]Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
[12]For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
[13]Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
[17]And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

John 17:17
[17]Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

Mark 10:29-30
[29]Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake,
[30]but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15
[13]each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work.
[14]If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.
[15]If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

2 Corinthians 5:10
[10]For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

That is, we believers are fighting against angelic powers and part of our armor and weaponry is the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God which is the Truth. So, when I say that the Holy Spirit was given to us to fight through a hostile world to attain to great rewards in the world to come, you can see what I am talking about. There is no lie in my claim. What I said is what the Bible teaches.

2. Regarding this claim of yours -

"The bible always talks about Christians being able to do greater things than the unbelievers because they have the spirit of God in them."

I know of no place where the Bible says anything quite like that. Perhaps you can find the passage and share?

I do believe that growing up in the Truth to attain to spiritual maturity and face down the tests of maturity and go on to fulfill ministry are greater things by far than anything unbelievers can ever dream of doing. But you and I have different frames of reference so I know that you were not referring to those things when you made that claim which I consider quite wild.

3. "No where in the bible does it say that Christians will be less than unbelievers in doing exploits."

Nowhere either does it say that Christians will be greater than unbelievers in doing exploits. Unless, of course, you mean spiritual exploits which in fact unbelievers have no hope of ever doing.

4. "The bible that even says Christians shall do greater things than what Jesus did."

Yes, the Bible says so in John 14:12. And the Lord has fulfilled that Word from the outpouring of the Holy Spirit until now. You see, teaching the Truth is a far greater work than any miracle you can think of. It is an impossible thing to do without God Himself enabling you. That is why we have the Holy Spirit to help us testify of the Lord Jesus and teach things about Him that this world could never have discovered even in a million years of careful scientific search.

5. "Then you conclude that the world belongs to unbelievers. Something that isn't even written anywhere inside the bible. Shown me where it says that the earth belongs to unbelievers. The bible in many places clearly states that the earth belongs to God."

John 17:14,16
[14]I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[16]They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

John 15:18-19
[18]"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
[19]If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

Ephesians 2:2
[2]in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Clearly, "the world" in the first two passages does not refer to believers. And Satan is called the ruler of this world by our Lord Jesus in John 12:31 and Paul calls him the god of this world in 2 Corinthians 4:4. Then there is this:

1 John 5:19
[19]We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Of course, the earth, this planet and all of creation belongs to God because He created everything. But Satan is usurping God's authority on earth and has fashioned a kingdom of his own here. That is why there is a war, right? That was Christianity 101. How did you not know that?

6. "You just go about with empty claims and when people fail to address them because of how off you've gone you run around claiming Victory."

Well, how empty are those claims now?

Fail to address them? You mean, when you lot turn and run because you finally have a real fight on your hands?

Claiming victory? LOL. What victory? I shame you for not even bothering to put your money where your mouth is and that is claiming victory? Okay.

7. "Your arguments are very boring sincerely speaking that'swhy I don't like engaging you myself."

They're so boring that you just feel the need to comment on them where they are not addressed to you at all although where they are, you take off and run. Okay.

Meanwhile... The holy spirit is for u guys to witness Christ. Its not really doing its job. If the holy spirit helps u witness Christ does it even add any value to the whole witness process? If yes what's that value... Or it just helps u witness for witness sake?
