China is infamous global for not protecting intellectual property. Multinationals routinely complain about either theft of intellectual property , coerced into sharing it or passing it down , brazen support of theft and last but not the least, deliberately turning a blind eye to it.

That's one reason Trump started a trade war with the Chinese.

...it's not really the balance of trade the US is interested in correcting,it is actually the balance of payments..and yes it is correcting very rapidly!

Sometimes I do wonder how we try to understand foreign news. When most of us what we only do is to judge by headlines and not details. Both companies are from U. S and they have been in serious competitions and legal tussles in China where they rival for Market gain. And since they both operate in China. One of them have to challenge the other in Chinese court where there is competition violation, and this is not the first time. The last time it happened between both companies in the same China, judgement was in favour of Apple and Qualcomm had to pay Apple. While the court case is going on, there was a temporary ban on Certain apple products brought into question by Qualcomm. So how does this now translate into China U. S trade war. This is a u.s company versus another U. S company in another country (China) where they both operate.

Its good that we always understand issues before commenting. Foreign affairs is different from Nigeria own.

I'm glad someone else understands these useless Chinese as I do. seems like you studied history keenly.
