Osinbajo is a tribal bigot and fake pastor whose dream can never come to pass because by the time it will be turn of Yoruba to take a shot at the presidency he must have expired by then.

osinbajo is loved by northerners because of his loyalty to buhari. As a northerner i can confidently tell you that osinbajo will win any northener who contest with him in 2023

Let's wait and see the damage he and Buhari will do between next year and 2023, that will show us if he will have the courage to contest in 2023.
Besides, the cabal don't like him. He's too serious minded for them. He won't co-operate. Moreover, I don't know if the Northern elite will want to have a pastor as the president of Nigeria.
By 2023 (if Buhari wins next year), the north would have ruled for 10years since 1999 while the South would have ruled for 14 years (approximately). The northerers may want the equation to be balanced first before returning power to the south.
Let's not assume all northerners love Buhari. Osinbajo's loyalty to Buhari means nothing to millions of northerners opposed to Buhari's government.

The north is the winner finally. I wish the entire South had been united right since independence, Nigeria would have been one of the greatest nations on earth by today.

Exactly. That's why the North aren't saying anything. Even northern BMC on this website aren't even saying anything. They know exactly what they are doing. Either way, it's a win-win situation for them. Sadly, they are least educated and most corrupt among us all yet they are the ones controlling the affairs and would be for a very long time. Nigeria will never develop from all I've seen. I'm starting to accept that reality.

The igbo should earned it, by building bridges not demanding for it, obasanjo presidency was hard earned by the Yoruba because of June 12.

So 2019 election is purely tribal not issue base as the writer wrote.

Let us be clear about our history

The Ibos have ALWAYS collaborated with their Fuani overlords against the SW and we let it slide just to keep peace

in 1960 election
1965
1979
1983
If you are too young to know then research

To the extent that they jailed Awo

The issue of Yoruba presidency is a red herring . It is neither here nor there to the Yoruba. What is important to us is that
Lagos remains the commercial centre of the country, the main seaport and the surrounding region dominates economically

everything else is dressing . Complete the Lagos Ibadan rail and expressway, the new Seaports in Lekki and Badagry and we are good.
Buhari has been president for 4 years what is the economic benefit to Katsina?
What benefitt from Obasanjo

Some Yoruba folk want to be President that is for them and their relatives

We saw what the Ibos are capable of under Jonathan
https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan

We can guarantee that an Ibo man will NEVER rule Nigeria.

They are welcome to say the same thing about us our vie then would be let the SS rule when it is the turn of the South .

No Wahala we do not need to rule.

Just maintain the status of Lagos and we are fine

This Osinbajo statement shows that his character is not deference to Obasanjo that wanted to run for third term and our other pass leaders. Like U said, am a real Yoruba and I do not buy to Osinbajo statement that we should vote for Buhari just to allow power to come to SW. I think they should allow Igbo to run in 2023 if not Our Unity should aborted totally.
mumu, who stop Igbo Man from contesting before? But definitely we in the north will vote for osinbajo in 2023 .every citizen of this country have the right to contest likewise d right to vote whoever

Well, the presidency moves to the south come 2023 and it's going to be between the Yorubas and the Igbos depending who wins next years Presidential election.

My take on this is that the Igbos will loose out and the Yorubas will get the seat. How?

Let say the Igbos voted massively for Atiku come 2023 either he wins or lose they'll not get to that office in 2023.

Why?If he wins his agenda surpass 2023,and so no way for the Igbos in 2023.And if he lose because most of their votes goes to him they still lose.

The only chance they have is to vote massively for APC and the door will be wide open come 2023,except they want to remain playing the roles of a second wife.

Please, know it that I'm not any political party supporter, but a liberal person, and this is just my own assumption.

In the past such a thing wouldn't be present. We had a small southern unity but SW went and destroyed it. So sad. I still believe we will not have a southern president for a long time. In 2023, if APC candidate is SW, I see both SE and SS voting for the northern candidate. It's really sad the dynamic of the situation. I'm not sure if it's even fixable now.

The people that destroyed any Unity were the Ibo soldiers who went and killed other regional leaders sparing theirs. The moment that was done.

Which past ?From day one there was NEVER any unity between Ibo and YOruba.

Iboo have ALWAY been slaves of Fulani

Go and find out history and stop talking rubbish

1960 Zik went into coalition with Balewa while the Yoruba went into opposition

The same in 1965

In 1979 Zik went into alliance with Shagari with Alex Ekwueme as VP and Edwin UmeEzeoke as Speaker House of Reps the Senate President went to Cross River and The Yoruba went into opposition the exact same scenario played out in 1983 only this time Ojukwu had returned to join Shagar

So tell me when this so called southern unity occurred

Yoruba and Ibos have NEVER been political friends

In the SS there was Bendel Rivers and Cross River

Rivers and Cross River always went with the North and voted against Awo from the time of Okilo and Isong

while Bendel went with Awo

That is the reality so do not tell us of any southern unity that is total fiction

The Yoruba have ALWAYS been the opposition party while the Ibo ,along ith Cross River and Rivers have been allied with the North

Now Yoruba did for the first time what you have ALWAYS done and you are talking jazz

I love you, I love you, I love you. Preach it sir.
My gullible Yoruba brothers will really buy into this and expect the Northern elements within the APC will back them in 2023. Anyone who knows the North knows their true agenda is to have this entity called Nigeria under their thumb. They are the real problem that Nigeria has in that since Nigeria turned into a so called federation with states they are have continued to pull every trick to ensure Power remains firmly in the North.
You guys need to really understand the root of the problem before addressing it. Osinbajo's statement is just a symptom of the real issue and the real issue is our politicians simply have nothing to offer. They have no interest in solving any of Nigeria's problems, the same ones they created. And now here they come with divide and rule and some of us are playing into their hands.
I am not for PDP nor APC. I am for who will build sustainable infrastructure and led us all in the right direction. Until that party or candidate is found, I'll rather we all boycott every election as a way to send a message to our reckless political class. I know it is extreme but choosing a lesser of two evils won't solve the problems of our nation. Only a militant approach will.

I see nothing distinguishing about someone who is obviously and shamelessly playing the ethnic card in order to get votes for his party. You would think his educational achievements and exposure would set him apart from the average man that argues politics at a newspaper stand but alas he's shown his true colours like his master Tinubu and like every other shameless politician that we have across the country. Useless stupid man. He and his ilk are the problem we have as a country.

ShenTeh:
Another low from our Distinguished VP. This is one of the many ways our leaders keep dividing us across ethnic lines.

Am I disappointed!
