My cousin would be 30 in four month. He is charismatic, good looking, tall, charming and very intelligent. The problem here is, he has no mind of his own. Always switching ambition. Today he wants to rule the world, tomorrow a professor, he recently announced his passion for broadcasting.
All effort to talk sence into his head proved futile. He doesnt want to do anything, yet dream of owing a private jet or building a mansion in Dubai (in his dreams). He seats at home all day watching t.v. or endlessly roaming the street,
We all are tired of trying to make him see that there is more to life than watching other people live it.

Please what do you suggest we do

Some people are like that. I think on of the causes might be wrong association
I still believe in old proverb "iron sharpneth iron" and birds of the same feather flocks together

he might not even know that he can be stable and focus until he moves with the right people
that will inspire and direct him

I don't think it is too late for him to change. You'd be surprised at how he can be transformed with the right motivation from someone or a few good books.
I have seen some people who looked like they did not have ambition in life but with a little help and push, their lives changed for the better.

He has ADD"attention deficit disorder." That is how active minds are. Ask the guy if he suffers from insomia from all the hyperactivity. look into L-theodine

This is the one but hard way to solve the problem; if he ask you for money, don't give. If he requires for help involving money, tell him you don't have. That way he will be forced to learn to stand on his own feet.

Pray for him that God bring him to his senses like the prodigal son did. Be patient with him and like Dereformer rightly said make him feel some need to be independent, slowly apply the heat, till he gets the message. I hope he's not reading this though! grin grin Get him movies and books that'll inspire him too
