Does expressing your opinion, favourable or unfavourable, about a man of religion make you an atheist?

That's potentially an award winning photograph. It terms of genius I will rank it alongside that Yasser Arafat photo that won first prize in a competition years back. It's possible to look at this one and see a thousand things. Man reminds me of that guy in Jesus' parable who thought he had his future in the bag. Someone else might see a sardonic expression on that face and surmise he is laughing at what op calls "pathetic followers", since there is apparently no joke on the telly or around him.

Makes you wonder, If Jesus were alive, would he use a private jet or ride commercial like the rest of us. . .

MyJoe,

. . .and how exactly does the picture imply what you are insinuating? Maybe i should also imply the guy in my picture below could be laughing at those who made those trouser wear and belt for him.  undecided undecided

When will folks learn to start taking "flying a jet", "driving a new car", "living in a state-of-art buildings" as normal necessities for every human. . .oppppss i forgot. . .we've become used to our poor surroundings.  sad sad

Maybe i should remind us

And let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." NKJV

And secondly i never said you made that statement. . . but your insinuations will mean that you see "that man's laughter similar to the prosperity analogy of the rich fool in Jesus' story. . .True or false?. . .which is where i came in to put that prosperity for God's servant aint bad afterall.  cheers!
Re: Pastor In Private Jet. Life Is Beautiful! by MyJoe: 2:08pm On Aug 27, 2010
^^^ Yeah, prosperity isn't bad. And what kind of God wouldn't have pleasure in the prosperity of his servant? But I think there's a lot that is bad happening around. Anyway you and the others have discussed that matter extensively and I have no wish to rehash it.

You can say that again. The old hands are still mostly active and a few new people came aboard. smiley We say old things in old ways, old things in new ways, new things in old ways, and new things in new ways. grin

it till beats my imagination how some so called christians can justify this evil going on in the so called church using the name of God and his son jesus to enrich themselves and live in extreme opulence when the sheep that the so called men of God are supposed to look after are living in abject poverty. is this what jesus taught Judgement day would truely be very interesting, anyway Jesus has already told told us he would deny all such con men despite the fact that they preached in his name.

A man of God should not be living an affluent, vulgar life off the donations (10% tithe) of a bunch of mostly gullible poor. And the poor continue to suffer waiting for a miracle.

I respect all dem Catholics, Anglicans and Methodists than these bunch of salvation-giving evangelist conmen.

Presumption?

Did he have the private jet before catching the holy fiiiiiirrre?

How does a man whose only job is to give sermons, who does not own his own business (i.e. apart from the high-profit generating church one) have the funds to purchase a private jet that would be worth at least £2m (not including maintenance cost)?

I should "Prove it"? What is left to prove?

Presumption? You havin a laff, me julie?

A matured post will be presenting substantial evidence why you feel he is a fraudster. . . and not simply because you have a biase against him. Grow up!

Maybe not. But why is a pastor living a life of luxury necessarily a bad thing if his congregation "donates" willingly, and seem to have no issues with, and are even proud of, his lifestyle. All is well that ends well. Abi?

Maybe he is just good at what he does. There are other pastors out there, and other denominations. I think it's safe to say most people choose the churches they attend, and are free to leave whenever they want. Is your issue with someone of that profession (pastor) being wealthy, or with people "paying" for a "product" that is, in your opinion, nonsense?

Yep. I agree all is well as it is the gullible that fall for it.

I am just trying to help them like Fela did as it is obviously fraud since they are giving it hoping at some unknown, non-specific point, there will be a reward as the fraudster has promised them so as to encourage them to willingly donate, whilst he gets his own reward instantly and they wait (and wait, and wait, and wait . . . . . ).

There are other pastors out there that their primary concern is to actually preach the scriptures they believe in, like in the traditional churches.

Not these current new-generation, evangelistical, salvation-giving, abundant miracle generating fraudsters that their primary concern is to milk the gullible, frustrated, desperate, moronic followers looking for hope in the midst of abundant adversities in their lives.

I just have a disgust for morons, hence I love taking a piss out of them.
