Nigeria as a political entity is not so diverse as a lot of people will like us believe.

What we are suffering from is lack of sound and relevant EDUCATION that is constantly evolving with the current trend of events across the globe as you will find in developed nations around the world.

A lot of NIGERIANS are just educated ILLITERATES, parading good for nothing papers called certificates or degree; whatever name you want to call it.(I have two:bachelor and Masters, so I'm not against having them)

When you have such people ruling any nation, the nation is simply simply doomed, are you still surprised NIGERIA is still a crawling giant at 50?

The only way out is to realize that we can turn things around; NOT by building roads, hospitals, classrooms as the starting point, rather we should think of raising up new set of leaders that will have VISION of raising a great nation.

@RUSKY44,
Your idea of scrapping NYSC is great, but you'll be shocked to discover that most of the prospective corpers will nearly die of fear of being independent after skill acquisition training, they will rather want to go sit down in one funny office doing nothing, but collecting salaries they never work for.

This is easier said than done. Even the U.S. is having a hard time creating a million jobs, let alone 25 million jobs. Nigerians should look to greener pastures.
