The Untold Stories Of Benedict Ayade The Greedy Governor Of Cross River State by MrGidifeed: 10:03am On May 15, 2019
Power and greed can have a profound effect on any leader in the sense that such a leader can suffer from an extreme form of delusion. Such a power drunk leader will fail to understand themselves, their actions and their very existence outside the ambit of power and its trappings.

In recent time, one leader that has beyond doubt, proven to be an accidental choice for his people is Kokum, Obudu LGA born Governor of Cross River State, Senator Benedict Ayade.

The governor who was re-elected for a second time in office, in March 2019, was nothing short of a bitter pill forced down the throat of the Cross Rivarians across the 18 local government areas of the state. And this was so because, his party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, holds sway in the state as the ruling party.

One of Ayade’s earliest ploys that later became foiled, and began to reveal him as a cunning and greedy person was in 2015, while still in the senate, and he showed interest in governing Cross Rivers State, during verification of his candidacy by screening committee of PDP in Cross River, Ayade had connived with his account officer of his bank to 'doctor' his account statement, thereby providing spurious figures, that tipped him as the most financially qualified ahead of other candidates at the time.

Apart from his below average administrative skills, shallow policies and his infamous 'Super Highway' that is estimated at N648, 870, 730, 739. 23 (Six Hundred and Forty-eight Billion, Eight Hundred and Seventy Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Thousand, Seven Hundred and Thirty-nine Naira, Twenty-three Kobo. A project that pundits have berated to plunge Cross Rivers State into 180 years of indebtedness.

The Super-highway is to be funded through an irrevocable Standing Payment Order (ISPO) fund that will cost the state to pay back N300 million every month.

When a leader is not popular among his folks, it calls for concern. It is worrisome, that Ayade’s unpopularity is not just among the broader spectrum of the citizens, he is also not popular among his aides and domestic staff.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that Ayade is preposterously nose poking for comfort; to imagine that a Governor of a State like Cross River would pry into the affairs of domestic staff. For instance, when a guest visits the government house and graciously tips his aides, the governor is remarked for calling his staff aside to enquire how much his guests dashed them.

When any of his domestic staff reaches out to him for assistance beyond salary in cases of exigency expenses, the highest he gives them magnanimously is N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira only).
Our correspondent, exclusively gathered that one of Ayade’s aide, Erasmus Ekpang has difficulty paying his house rent and children fees, yet his principal, Mr. Governor turns south in abysmal defiance.

Another worthy interesting case worthy to thumb, is that of Christian Ita, Chief Press Secretary and SSA Media to Ayade, whom inspire of his exalted office in the governor’s office, could not afford Laptop and Ayade have promised several times; and up until this report, you’d be amazed he is yet to provide Ita one.

The unfortunate case of Chief Kenn Aklah is yet another sad story. Aklah is the Special Adviser to the Governor's Office & Events, he could not afford a decent meal for his children and Ayade is aware and remains insensitive to the needs of his subordinates.
It might interest you to know that even when the governor engages in romps and hookers are arranged for his sexual pleasure, he pays these girls 50bucks too, fifty thousand naira, I mean.

It is commendable how prudent the governor is perceived to be with his states resources, but to imagine it has not translated into excellent governance after all, calls for worry.
