so Nigeria should spend a whole lot of money to create settlements for foreigners who are by the way causing mayhem wherever they go?
Shebi the same idiot president said that the herdsmen are from Libya
why are we building settlements for " Libyans"
And to make matters worse, numbskulls like you will support every foolish act taken by this satanic govt undecided

Listen to this IPOB Jew. Are you not from Middle East ? At least Fulanis are from West Africa, they only changed location within their land. But you and your race are immigrants from Israel

it has no benefits to any state. They get free land, they don’t pay tax and price of meat and milk will not reduce only herdsmen will benefit.
The benefits will be enormous, you people are only being so sentimental, misinforming the public to create fear among the people and hatred toward the government. This cattle rearing business we all think is just for the majority fulanis is really for the benefit of all. All of you ranting nonsense here in less than 12 hours will surely feed on the products of these cows. You love the meat but hate those who help to make it available. It so unfortunate about the security challenges in the country not just limited to the herders and farmers clashes, but as a people we must join reasonable voice to proffering solution not by these false information and propaganda.
The RUGA settlement option proposed by the FG is for those states who are willing to adopt it. IT IS NOT A FORCE ON ANY STATE TO ADOPT IT. People claim that cattle rearing is a private and personal business, yes the same with trading for instance so if government can map out a piece of land to build market with modern facilities for traders to enhance their activities, i dont see why it will fail to provide a settlement for ranching. We are so blind in this country that is why we think cattle business is meant only for the fulanis, this a business that have very great economic potential. Our people here in the south can key into it for employment, we should not see it as a business for a particular people in the country. If we southerners are fully into the business, i dont see any room for the fulanis even bringing their cattles down to the south. Apart the green grass here, they also enjoy the monopoly of selling their cows to us for food. Our governors and people should be wise, we have alot of potentials to create wealth and employment for our people. All these lies and hate statements will not help us as a people.

It doesn’t matter if some states refuse the Ruga ( ranch) project . You just increase the number and sizes of the ranches in the consenting states. The non- consenting state can always go and buy meat and dairy products from the ruga states. It is a project with huge potentials for development and export, let them reject it for sentimental tribalistic reasons , no problem.

Bros,

They know this. They just must play the victim. The very first day this idea was communicated, the position that it is not compulsory was communicated clearly. But people must twist the narratives to appear the victim. Pray tell, how can FG forcefully take over lands in states when the laws and supreme court judgement (FG vs. Lagos) clearly establish that States are the owners of lands.....

NO TO RUGA FULANI SETTLEMENT

The timing to all this is wrong. Other issues concerning the country should be tolerated not an orchestrated plan.

The Governor can agree with this but I stand as an indigene of the State among others to utterly and strongly disagree to this arrangement. Governor Lalong might have his own selfish interest but the interest of the indigenes should also be considered with high priority.

chisomdoris:
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, on Monday met behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Briefing State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, the former Federal Capital Territory, Minister disclosed that the people of the state are entirely in support of the Ruga settlement project.

A raging controversy has trailed establishment of Ruga settlements by the Federal Government across the country.

Mohammed noted that the Ruga project, which the Federal Government recently said was voluntary for states that indicate interest in it, will help address issues of insecurity.

According to him, Bauchi State needed the Ruga project because the population of the state currently was about 60 to 70 percent Fulani.

Bauchi State, he said, will always key into any federal government projects.

He said “60 or 70 percent of the population in Bauchi are Fulanis and therefore we must leverage on all these.”

Stressing that he will not be Abuja governor, he said that he would always be with his people.

He said that he was at the Villa to confer with the President on some of the insecurity challenges facing the state.

“We have illiteracy, insurgency and so many things that are bombarding us in terms of social challenges and security challenges. Definitely we will do that,” he said.
The governor also pointed out that Bauchi State loves President Buhari more than any state in Nigeria, because, “The President is there for all of us, he is not a partisan President.”

Even he was elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he said, “I am the leader of the people many consider more APC than PDP.”

The state, he said, will continue to support the Federal Government because, “There are issues that are within us and there are issues that are beyond our capacity.

“Therefore, we must establish partnership. I have come to discuss very serious issues concerning Bauchi because people in Bauchi have given me that leadership.

“I must establish relationship with the Federal Government because of the serious challenges that we have, challenges in development, social issues and security issues,” he said.

Confused Buhari.

He once said killer herdsmen are from Libya, Mali and Niger

Link below

Source

The same buhari haven't stopped the infiltration through our porous borders nor fish out the killer herds men in the hinterlands, but he's desperately seeking to bring these deadly people close to peaceful people in their own ancestral homes.

He wants to sack people, subject them to killings and all without dealing with main issue.

Yahaya bello the unrepentant idiot gave out the Igalas lands for the ruga poo leaving out his own ebira people.

He dared not touch the okun people's lands because Dino won't let it but the poo eating onoja is happy to take his own people to slaughter house. Fools.

The billions budgeted for this ruga poo is enough to grow back the lost forest in the north but they want our lands.

We must come out and resist these people.

Pls note that, Yahaya Bello is a prodigal son even his people attests to it, which is why they have openly rejected his second bid.
Nonetheless, will they forgive his offenses? Only time will tell.

Back to the main issue

1. Where there's sincerity of purpose, this is like a case of two fighting (farmers & herders clash) where the supposed judge (PMB's administration) is siding one party. After settling Fulani herders with RUGA, what happens to the Farmers (victims) of these various states & communities?
2. Where there's sincerity of purpose, is it not wiser to use this huge fund (that PMB decided solely) to return the lost green pastures to the north?
3. Where there's sincerity of purpose, is it not wiser & more humane to properly resettle these acclaimed Fulani herders in their indigenous land which is well known, instead of directly or indirectly forcing other nationals & tribes in any form of disguise to cede their indigenous land or die?
4. Is PMB the first Fulani to be Nigerian president, why this extreme desperation of him to meet the Fulani's request at all cost whether Nigeria collapse or stand?

Only reasonable response, pls.

You know what? You're a big fool & still a baby

I thought you'll be able to point out its economic value to others which we failed to see, only to keep writing nonsense.

1. The South south have enormous water mixed with crude oil while fishing is their major occupation. The middle product were made to be national resources without any special or optional recognition for the southerners in the north or across Nigeria as the case may be.
2. Can you mention the contribution of these herders towards our economic growth in terms of tax payments in comparing them with market men/women?
3. Can you mention names of market(s) & their location(s) built by government in Nigeria (of any level) for people to run their businesses without back payment to the government?
4. Has any market area or business centres ever been built or carved out strictly for a particular tribe or national in Nigeria or anywhere on earth?

Pls, you mustn't contribute in every topic. Whatever you don't have reasonable idea to contribute on just stay mute & pass. It's your types that made Buhari think we're all dull-brain, thereby doing just whatever he likes.
