One should learn how to separate social rules and traditions from spiritual laws.
While culture and traditions which are man made differ from one place to another, spiritual laws on the other hand remains the same in all planes.

For example, Caucasians don't usually expect much from their children in term of paying them back and of course parents there do not demand for huge sums as bride price. Bear in mind too that in India it is the bride's family that pay heavily to the groom family in order for their daughter to get married.

You are not breaking any divine law when you refuse to follow traditions. But in order to maintain harmony in your environment you have to go along with their social rules to the best of your ability or else you leave that environment to another place where you prefer their social rules.

Karma being the law of cause and effect simply states that for any action there is a repercussion it is neither good or bad. So if you refuse to take care of your parents or give them a befitting burial as they requested the reaction is simply that you too should not expect to have your children take care of you or give you a befitting burial. It is as simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Self-responsibility is the key to spiritual freedom.

Develop the creative side of yourself so you can figure out your own problems. The creative power works best through those who love what they are doing.

But everybody isn't interested in your spirituality. most of the people care about how much money you have. Even a wealthy person with a very ill behaviour have more respect in the society. That's just my observation, maybe it's different somewhere else

From my own experience, people are definitely interested in your spirituality and are actually watching you without you being aware. I have had occasions of people asking about my religion after watching me for months because of the way I treat people without any bias or prejudice.

Don't be deceived about the so called respect given to wealthy people. It is only the money they see and not the individual and that is why once the money disappears, the so called respect disappears with it

Once you are growing spiritually it naturally spills over into your day to day life. You become more loving and more tolerant to life.
That is all that matters

One of the biggest lessons we can learn in life is to do everything possible to reach an accord with the individual we are having trouble with.

But when you get to the other side, all of a sudden you realize that things are better. That this life, this state, this new condition existed alongside the original one all along.

The trouble comes from resistance from the lower bodies that soul wear as clothes in order to experience life here which include the mind, emotional body and the physical body.

These bodies are negative in nature and don't like undergoing change see so they throw up all kinds of obstacles on the way of the seeker.
For example your mind will throw up all kinds of excuses including fear of the unknown in order to stop you from carrying out spiritual practices that will expose you to truth.

You suddenly find it so difficult to get the physical body up and running to do physical exercises, if fitness is your goal.

Do what you can for yourself. Do what you can for others. In doing so, you are moving forward spiritually as a divine light of God.
