The Effects Of Ekweremadu's Attack That Igbo Don't Know by AutoPhone: 2:40pm On Aug 19, 2019

The struggle for the actualization of the Biafra Nation took a new twist when members of the now proscribed group "IPOB" took laws into their hands and deemed it fit to send a strong warning to other Igbo politicians.

However, unknown to them is that to every action there is a reaction. The beating of ex-deputy senate president. Sen. Ike Ekweremadu might have passed a message as the group intended, it has however caused more adverse effects on the group itself.

The group with its recent action has justified the ban of its activities, which includes the right to protest, gather or even have a meaningful meeting by a federal high court in Abuja labeling them as a terrorist group.

With this, the groups claim to injustice and agitations for a breakaway has simply been rubbished, international bodies such as Unicef, ICC, and UN will obviously want to have nothing to do with a group that is not only proscribed but also proven to be lawless, has no respect for fundamental human rights and apparently has no structure.

According to the International Crisis Group, Biafra does not currently exist as a distinct unit in Nigeria and the separatists are not clear about how they see the territory of the "new Biafra".

Some claim it would include all areas inhabited by people of Ibo descent, including parts of the oil-rich Niger Delta to the south and Benue state to the north, but the other people of these regions vehemently oppose inclusion in any new Biafra.

Other separatists say a restored Biafra would be limited to the five core Ibo states - Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo - administratively referred to as Nigeria's "South East Zone".

No sane politician from the southeast will ever consider standing up for the IPOB, especially as with the treatment meted out to ex deputy senate president who has always stood for the group at different situation and most importantly secured the bail and release of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, another prove the group ideologies are not clear.

Tribalism obviously has an extremely negative effect on Nigeria’s unity, and in some cases, can even be life-threatening, because some people are ready to do anything to stand for their ideals.

The tribalist experiences of the other countries show us that such division brings nothing but conflicts, fear, nd exclusion.

To become a really strong nation, we have to accept each other with all the differences and try to find the compromises in a peaceful and non-violent way.

Nigerian people show their strongest qualities and learn to get along with each other regardless of their cultural and social differences, Nigeria will become a nation instead of territory.

Ask most of my brother's screaming Biafra what is the Ideology behind the whole struggle they won't know a thing. Among all the secessionist movements i have known and read about Biafra is the one that lacks a clear blue print of what it intends to achieve and a clear cut strategy of how to go about it and massive funds. Ojukwu was for armed struggle, IPOB and the others am not even sure their members have a clue.
Secession is more than just organizing street protests and venting anger on the government. Secession is serious business, not this joke we are witnessing. Someone is taking people on a wild goose chase here and as it is with Nigerians all over, we put sentiments/bigotry ahead of logic.

Nigeria is a funny place!
Herdsmen slaughter people daily, rape women. Nobody says anything

Unarmed IPOB will protest peacefully, they will send Soldiers to go shoot them, proscribe them and declare them terrorists. Nobody will speak up about that injustice.

But Ekweremadu will go to Germany, gets bundled out of the venue to his car. This is where all of them will now talk! It took the 'roughing up' of a Senator for the following to talk:

Ohanaeze
Orji Uzo Kalu
Ayo Fayose
Asari Dokubo
Abike Dabiri
The Nigerian Senate president
Osita Chidoka

And so many others. They are so concerned about how Ekweremadu was 'disgraced'

When IPOB are tortured in muddy water, they dont talk

When unarmed IPOB women are locked up for protesting, they dont talk

What they send python dance to kill unarmed IPOB, they say nothing

When unarmed IPOB who killed nobody are declared terrorists while armed herdsmen who kill people everyday are rewarded with Ruga, they say nothing

But once you touch Ike Ekweremadu in Germany, they will come out to shout about how wrong this is and the injustice of it all.

So what matters is how highly placed an individual is? Justice is for the senator while the common man on the street means nothing to them.

Ok oo

Rubbish write-up. How many Igbo politician stood by IPOB? There was a time in this country when Northern elders confronted Jonathan and warned him to stop killing BokoHaram, they told the President then to stop killing northerners, they called it genocide. A useless Ekeremadu would be shinning teeth while his armless people are being massacred and yet, he doesn't care. Till date, we don't know the complete number of those we lost during the Python dance and those killed during the attempted murder of KANU at his residence in Abia state. Cos our so-called leaders are useless and cowards, they should better remain in Nigeria. Number4 man in Nigeria, and he kept mute while his brothers are massacred. They didn't even beat him well sef.
It's just like the way osinbanjo is keeping mute while sowore is unjustly humiliated. I just don't understand these people..

Its high time youths start engaging insensible and reasonable argument in the social spare. Everything doesn't have to go the way of tribe or religion (one major reason is not moving) rather we should learn to build a constructive and argumentative argument. Before you derail any thread at least verify you understand the motive of the thread and not just comment for the sack of it or space booking.

OP, an average IPOB miscreant doesn't care about these salient issues you raised, at least not until they find themselves in real time facing these challenges, then you hear them quickly changing narrative and blaming other tribes for 'hating' them.

They have this penchant for acting before thinking. I do honestly feel that there's a mass hypnotism on them.
You remember what happened during the civil war?
A man knew very well that he had no ammunition, not enough trained personnel and wasn't ready to make a deal with foreigners to assist him,yet he insisted on the war that led to the death of millions of Igbos, and after,he conveniently ran away same way Nnamdi KANU ran away.
Biafra would turn out to be the most lawless nation ever if ever considered.
That's why most reasonable Igbos would do about anything to keep the idea of Biafra still a mere fantasy in the minds of the uncultured IPOB miscreants.

Right deep within the core of an Enugu man,he's not happy that NK - an Abia man - led to the attempted murder of Ekweremadu,an Enugu man.
