Next month? No. It starts tomorrow. And this has nothing to do with Buhari. I made the right decision voting Buhari in 2015 and 2019, no regret

This is a misinformation. MTN wana charge to access USSD transactions. Before now, only mtn doesn't charge for ussd .other networks do.

that has been happening na. Patients bribe their way to the doctor's office. Even if they're supposed to be 85 on the queue, they'll go in before the 10th person

I know a hospital already doing that. It's #1k or #1.5k for other doctors and #2k for the director.

"Consultation fees" are paid in all hospitals.

The price only varies.

USSD airtime recharge option is one of the fastest, (in fact the fastest on some occasions) and the easiest. It also comes in very handy when traveling or stranded in a new location and you are in need of urgent top-up for either data or voice calls.

It is far better than even the banks’ apps and third party apps in terms of convenience, since you do not need to login and go through the hassle of typing a password. USSD does not also requires internet connection to get your airtime topped-up.

In fact, one of thing that makes it preferable to other options is that It is completely free, but that is about to change as banks will soon start charging people for using USSD to top-up.

MTN has started sending SMS to its customers regarding the End User Billing for Bank USSD Services. The SMS reads;

This is so sad, it's not only airtime recharge any bank transactions performed using ussd code will be charged 4 naira per 20 seconds but new there the only new thing there is MTN does not charge for using bank ussd for transactions before but now they MTN Will begin to charge but other networks like the one I have experienced airtel charges 4naira glo charges me too 4naira to use Fidelity bank *770#, MTN finally join them

From today, it's either I recharge via mobile app, quickteller or I buy from street vendors.

It's either I use apps like opay, quickteller, mobile apps to transfer money or I go to the bank.

That's how Alat charged me #380 to do a ussd transfer of 9k saying its #20 per second billing when using ussd channel and the billing is totally controlled by mtn

Cashless policy my left foot

and paga too

Ever since this administration came in, everything just went south pretty fast.

First the government started imposing crazy taxes all in the name of revenue drive, now network providers are jumping on the train, and to think that this south African thieves (MTN) is at the forefront of it makes it more annoying.

It's time Nigerians sent a strong message to both the government and commercial institutions that we are not docile, and will not tolerate these exploitations any longer.

Nigeria can never make it will all these charges here and there, why make life difficult for Nigerians? Countries that have made it never frustrated it's citizens. Fvck anything that will cost me without making positivity, I will buy my cards with cash and perform other transactions using ATM or the bank itself. Rubbish country with no proper plans.

Your first paragraph is the reason I gave up on Nigeria. The country has no hope. I repeat, the country has no hope! Anybody thinking that Nigeria will get better one day is delusional!

The foundation is faulty! It's either it's restructured, or one day, it will collapse, like the house built on sand. Unfortunately, it will happen in our lifetime — by 2050, the population will be between 400 and 500 million.

Nigeria is a dangerous time bomb. The population is rising badly, unfortunately, many in southern Nigeria are taking up family planning to control birth while northern Nigeria has no hope for that. Unfortunately, they keep determining who rules Nigeria due to her unproductive population. Then southern Nigeria is a useless region with weak leaders who care only about what enters their pockets. From every indication, the masses in Southern Nigeria work to feed the entire country. The current system of govt will not allow u and I to protest. Those who could have agitated for this have been pocketed with lucrative deals. People like ur top celebrities, they give them lucrative deals, shares, assets, they just shut up and enjoy the money. My bro, if u have ur way, leave naija. The country has no hope. The country is dead! It will get worse. An Assistant commissioner of police was kidnapped yesterday on his way to Jos. That is how bad it has become. Population is rising, no infrastructure, the country runs a useless system of govt that makes the central too powerful, and the states weaker. The states who are supposed to fight to get a better system of govt since the states are closer to the people have refused to talk since their various governors get too rich while in govt.
