The African continent has blessed the WORLD over with ALL forms of entertainment. Music, folklore, comedy all being examples but most importantly and obviously is. . .the art of dancing!

As black people are ALL over the world I want to have FUN point out our differences in dancing styles, so with that said. . .which black country/region has the most unique/ best dancing styles?

Continental Africa, Caribbean/South America and North America (within these regions you can even compare individual countries).

Feel free to post videos as well 

*my opinion: Congolese soukous and Jamaican dancehall But I also like West African Mapouka dancing!!!!
I am not crazy about American whining styles  if I had to choose one, Caribbean/Jamaica no doubt!

I give it to the Jamaicans.
I have a lot of them as friends nowadays. . . . their dance team is great.
But the African Student Union are known for their best, we keep winning them awards. . . .if you doubt me, check out ASU Dance Team
But I still give it to the Jamaicans in General, check out the music industry.

Shakira is latin American, colombian to be exact, there is a HIGH black population there so she does count. secondly those women in the orange WERE wining, they were just doing a faster version of what the Nigerian girl was doing. She was ok tho.

MY first post here was on [b]North [/b]America. Shakira is half Colombian, half Lebanese. Colombia is in [b]South [/b]America. You paired her with people from North america, these are people from two different continents, so that is my reason for not counting her as one because I was initially talking about [b]North [/b]America.

I won't call what Shakira does as wining, she belly dances. Maybe where you're from all dances that involves the hips and butt are termed as wining. But where I'm from wining is just a 'sub-genre' of dancing.

*the first girl Shisha, is not Jamaican she is from the French West Indies and that video was shot in france during their dancehall queen competition to see who was france's best to compete in Jamaica. She was trained by Jamaican professional dancers. They taught her WELL but when she competed in Jamaica 2 years ago she was CRUSHED lol. They mopped the floor with her but she is a good dancer still and she gives us props so big ups  to her.

So ya i choose black americans as the best dancers. Many of the worlds most known dancers are american. In fields such as tap,ballet,jazz,swing,hip hop,ball room etc Hip hop for all intents and purposes is basically the pop culture dance of the world. Every dance show on tv is dominated by it(so you think u can dance,americas next dance crew etc) New american artist like justin beiber to new artist in korea and japan. Its really been tooking to another level.

I know African women shake their ass, that's why I didn't like Nigerian dancing for a long time. I actually prefered Caribbean dancing, like the moves you'd see the men doing, that's until I started seeing more Nigerian/African dances and saw where the diaspora got it from. Like the Zaoule dancing.
