Nothing. It has many advantages. I couldn't do it because staying at home freaks me out after a few days. It is very boring for me.
The question however arises what these women will do when the kids grow up. And what will happen if for one reason or another the husband won't provide anymore.

I work, I have businesses, my mum is not depending on me etc etc. Why are you trying to impress people here?

There is nothing wrong with a sit-at-home-mom aka housewife. This reduces cost of childcare; promotes a close relationship between mother and child; safer than keeping one's kids with outsiders; more hygienic etc. However, modern day's economy does not encourage a single parent's provision of income thereby necessitating both parents to work. It is a catch-22 situation. Questions like: what if the man gets sacked? Business dwindles? Incapacitation either by health or accident? Would the wife not use her qualifications obtained via education instead of "just staying at home"?

Its a dangerous situation for a woman especially if she doesn't have any means of income apart from the husband,

Even if wife stays at home, she must have some kinda income. Business, doing hair, selling things. Please no depending on husband to do every little thing for you, it’s very embarrassing.

In my own opinion especially in this generation of decadence, I will advise young mothers to stay home and raise their kids until they attain certain age before going for white collar jobs.
This will be based on certain scenarios though. If your husband isn't well to do financially and isn't understanding, please disregard my opinion.
