Before being shortlisted for interview, you are competing at National Level. Immediately you are shortlisted for interview, at that point, you are competing with those from your state.


I must say that WAEC result is very important at this stage. A good Waec result will supplement 'medium' Gp score

last year, more than 600 graduates applied in my state only.

Those with First Class and distinction in WAEC

And with Good Statement of Purpose have upper hands for short listing .
Also, those with CONNECTION are the luckiest ones.

If you the above and God, you will get the scholarship.

that's not true bro, I know someone who got the award without uploading NYSC discharge at the beginning, anyone who has good document but serving should apply, you will only need NYSC during interview

1) If someone gets accepted for this program, travels, studies and finishes, can the person stay back in that country and work?

This is because it will be sad to go over there, study and them come back here to start hustling all over again.

I went for a job interview sometime back and the guy sitting next to me studied in UK through all this programs but he was sponsored by relatives. He then finished and came back and started hustling for jobs here in Nigeria. In my mind, why didn't you just stay back in UK and work but he said they told them to return to their home country after studying.

So if this program entails scholars to return back to their home country after studying, then what's the point of travelling then?
This is because 90% of Nigerians applying for this scholarship just want to leave Nigeria for good. The program is just more or less a gateway to move out for them or am I lying?

UK is more strict in this area, but until last year, ptdf is not actually too concerned about this, so you can stay back and work although this may have time frame

Except if they'll really use professional certificate this year, up to last year they didn't use it, they only include it in their advert

they'll give you student copy, but you must first apply for original, just put the name of a place there, you may use ptdf or any other address, thereafter you'll get the student copy.
I'll also advise u, if possible please don't use etx if ur school uses it
This is the idea, school like OAU use etx, but if you're sending to the same school they'll process it themselves and not to use etx, so find out very well before u proceed

You are competing against people from ur state, a their is a quota. If you get shortlisted, just impress in your interview.

That's a lie. Do you know that there's is a grading for nysc certificate and supporting documents.


It's mostly in rare cases a corper can be selected and it mostly those from the northern state where there is very less competition. Get ur fact right. In case you don't know, most cases of selected 2.2 / 2.1 are from the north

Super competitive, 80% of those shortlisted will be first-class graduate with distinctions in major O level subjects.

If you don't have any of the above, having numerous academic awards and a journal can make up for it.

At the end you need God grace to make the final cut because there is little margin between candidates after aggregating all these factors.

My candid advice to the new applicants is apply if u have the relevant qualifications. Upload all the requested documents, pray and forget what people are saying here to discourage you. I might give it a try again, even though I am above 30 years now. Good luck to you all.

IFP is a good choice and as well competitive. Make sure the course you're going for is taught in English cos most are in French.

If UK was possible this time, I'd have said you should choose Oil & Gas Law in Robert Gordon university, or Energy Law & Policy in Dundee university, or International Commercial Law in university of Nottingham, etc.

Go through the listed countries/schools and see if there's any law related option listed.
