COOUTH Awka is well managed

Poorly paid key staff.

How does that speak of proper management?

Is your brain on sabbatical?

COOUH Awka

Why did u say the news is fake?

How sure are u?

It's disturbing if its true.

Never heard of this no matter how bad it is in igboland.

When lots of private practioners are eyeing govt hospitals.
If they resign, where will they go to?

Is that what the report says?

So 46 medical practitioners from a single hospital got better jobs simultaneously?

And there are hospitals outside the east with better offers? I thought a medical practitioner serving in the east is actually getting same condition of service like US, Canada, Germany and all other advanced countries which "Value lives". angry
Oga use ur head, who told they resigned at once This is statistics, the report is for a given period of time.

Okay.

But is it possible for a hospital outside east to have better condition of service than the those in the east?

Obiano should intervene. 46 doctors are a lot.

Look up the number of healthcare professionals resigning and emigrating out of this nation yearly... As at today, the number of professionals manning the hospitals is diminishing dangerously.

In the not too distant future, quacks and poorly trained healthcare people will be heading and running the show... I need not explain the dire consequences that will follow.

It certainly won't affect your politicians. They use hospitals abroad, even for slight headaches.

It will get to the point where one will be telling them not to name any institution after ones name.

So a fed job in the zoo can have a better condition of service than in the east? But I thought the service condition of medical practitioners in the east is competitive with countries like US, Germany Canada etc

They've probably written their PLAB exams or Canadian Medical Examinations qualifying exams and moved.
If you know, you know.

I don't get.

So the report of 46 medical doctors including consultants resigning due to poor condition of service is not true?

Or is it the usual way of talking banana when the topic is about orange? cheesy

Its better they resign than stay, grumble and be killing patients.
See UK and Australia, they are being sought there

10 consultants and 36 resident doctors resigned from just one hospital because of poor condition of service. Going by what they keep deluding themselves with, one will expect a doctor working in any hospital in that region to be feeling like he/she is in US. angry

If this were to be even in a privately owned hospital somewhere in the north or west, insults down to forefathers of the zones would have pushed this thread into the 4th page by now.

But in this case, watch how poor condition of service in a state-owned hospital becomes a case for the whole of Nigeria. cheesy

So what exactly is ur point?

With all due respect to the almost governor... He is a moronic and obsequious dwarfish charlatan.

It's a terrible thing to play servant to unintelligent leaders... Just look at the dust Adesina has been yarning for days now.

grin grin When they have greener pastures already. I went for a party recently and I saw a very senior specialty nurse and a consultant physician who were once in a teaching hospital. Both were already working abroad, but were collecting Naija salaries pending when they are eventually fished out as ghost workers. This can take 6-12months in some cases. No naija boy will leave his job without a second option

This makes a whole lot of sense considering that lots of drs are migrating to other countries for better job pay and security.

Do u know how much they receive per month?

Drs in Nigeria suffer a lot. Even those in the best private hospitals. Most are leaving to join "drs across the border".
