WASC/SAT3 submarine cable is down and MTN has been working on restoration capacity to cater for its enormous customer base. The submarine cut should not have affected Nigeria but it seems MTN is getting its connectivity from the group at South Africa

Terribly frustrating poor service first in history for mtn to have such bad poor internet service but its been resolved now they sent me a message and even on twitter

Negodu MTN... debited my bank acct for 3gb data for more than 72hours now and I'm yet to get the data or refund. Called their customer careline severally without any help there is God sha

I think it's about the undersea internet cables that broke affecting internet of 12 African countries. Even though Nigeria was not listed, for the fact that MTN has released an apology shows Nigeria is among. Even me has been having tough time connecting with 9mobile since Thursday

Mtn customer care services have been apologizing on Twitter since last week Saturday... I wonder wassup with them.


Look like they've taken us back to 2003/4 era where we have to stand at one spot in a room/compound for that "rolling globe" to make the "E" catch network...

When it's only UC browser and Google Chrome you are opening for those 3 days.

These network providers are robbing Nigerians. Even recharging via USSD is not safe. People have complained of demanding for N100 USSD recharge and get debited for frivolous figures like N250 or N360.

Who takes the excess N150 or N260 ?

The customer care rep said he should go back, and tell them back what he now notices.


I just laugh. With which network will he give feedback?
