When a man has a Library of this quality, it shows the stuff he's made up of.
quote author=Freemanalee post=87380758]Some people here on Nairaland are just too myopic and deluded

A lot of Nairalanders kept bashing SLS without actually knowing a thing or two about him or why he was dethroned and banished

Anyways I have time. Let me educate some of you.

I reside in Kano for more than a decade now and I must tell you why SLS isn't loved by Kano elite and Kano Government.

1.SLS angered the Kano Elites when he once emphasizes the need for mass encouragement for girl-child education.
The truth is, accepting change here is quite cumbersome

2. He criticized the Kano Government for not doing anything about the alarming poverty rate in the state

3. He also criticizes the almajiri system

4. He once tell the Kano people to build more schools than mosques because he believes any one could build a mosque to seek for Allah's blessings but building schools means building human capacity which according to him is better. If you must know, the northern politicians use religion to achieve their political agenda. They believe Mosques are cheaper to build than schools. So the politicians use the money meant for community development to build mosques while inflating the cost. And because the masses are gullible, building a mosque or Islamic schools are regarded as good and distinctive political points

5. He was the man that angered the Kano Elites when he stressed the need for one man one wife, backing his claim with the Holy Quran. This is because he saw the danger of overpopulation and poverty. But the Elites sees this as political sabotage since they need more population for their political machinations and what comes to them from federal allocations

6. The final straw that broke the camel's back was simply because he openly criticized the malpractices carried out in the last Kano election that resulted to INEC declaration of the election as inconclusive.

SLS is a man who say the truth no matter the consequence(s). Truly he is paying for being bluntly outspoken and honest.
So if you know nothing about this man or why he was dethroned, kindly shut it.
(Thank you so much)

Vendetta beget vendetta. It’s nothing personal or maybe it is. Lol

Sanusi has ruined so many lives from and maybe even b4 his time as cbn Governor bt I won’t to go into details as some of it is common knowledge.

Now I see why Sanusi never wanted to live that palace and throne. Quite astonishing

Typical sensationalized headlines.

Obviously, they can not keep his books and the new emir, of course, must have his own space to store his own books.

Load his the sacked emir's books inside pick up truck and send it to him in his Nasarawa village or where ever he was banished to.

Good riddance.

what I find annoying about the Kano and the nirth is the way people defer to those elites in everything. The way they cant think for themselves. For years nothing has been done for them and you expect that they will get tired and do something. Sad

The books are better donated to libraries in universities or a state owned and maintained libraries to keep the legacy of the man, Sanusi.

Unfortunately, Ganduje isn’t interested in the illiteracy liberation of his state, which is one of the reasons he has been against SLS and dethroning him.
The leaders/elite from the North want the average northerner cum almagiri to remain in perpetual darkness, anyone that want to bring light to them(enlightenment) is their enemy.
Gej did it,by building schools for almagiris all over the northern state, but he was never appreciated.Sanusi's enemies are the northern leaders/elite who don't want the northern youth to be emacipated and salvaged from darkness

The northern elites are the real Boko Haram (book is forbidden ). They thrive by keeping the population illiterate. They would rather destroy the books than make it available to the public,

Why can they not keep his books? Are they allergic to books? Why can't the palace house a library? I am sure Sanusi would gladly donate the books to a palace library.

One minute you guys would support and promote literacy and education, insulting Buhari for not being literate or educated, another minute you would mock and insult someone promoting literacy and education. It seems you guys have no values, stance or opinion, but change according to your emotions.

Must they keep what doesn't belong to them?

What if Sanusi asked for his books to be removed and sent to him?

Where how do you suggest for the new Emir to keep his own books?

Are you also allergic to the new emir having and reading books or removing what doesn't belong to them just means in your shallow world they are promoting illiteracy because I still don't see how you arrived at illiteracy?

The silliness and condescending utterances by you and your kind that other people's actions mean they are not educated or they support illiteracy is just a reflection of your own ignorance and self-induced bigoted mentality.

majority of the leaders /elite from the north are illiterates, so they do not want the youth to be educated, because it will lead to a great wave of awareness that will result to a positive change, which they detest so much.
