I need a mentor as well and can serve as an apprentice just for this purpose.

First thing to remember is that as a beginner you can’t be all of those things at the same time, you can only be those things one at a time.

Start with web development from scratch( I mean full stack web developer) You will learn HTML and CSS then move into javascript. You will know how to make both frontend and backend of websites. This will make you understand how websites works, how are databases managed, how secured a website is, and how browsers acces web pages. You can learn this on YouTube but I recommend udemy(cheap) or Coursera($49 per month) Because there is information overload on YouTube thereby leading to distraction for a starter. Also, you can learn HTML and CSS on w3school for free But I must say becoming a full stack delveloper is not easy at all. It takes a lot of time to become a full-stack web developer. It is not something you learn in 6 months(though, you can become a front end developer in that time frame) You must remain focus and motivated. If you really put in your time and effort in learning this and become proficient in it, you will run from job offers. Because web development is a huge goldmine in tech.

I actually went to youtube yesternight,i spent over 5hrs there,i won't say i didn't learn anything buh it was so so confusing mehn.

I won't advice a starter to start learnin on youtube. Because there is information overload and, there is no clear learning path. Many of those chanel owners don't really teach from scracth. They asume u already know certain things on that topic. I only go on youtube when i need more info on a particular topic. Youtube is like my home lesson after school hours.

YouTube has made me wasted my time jumping from one place to another. I'll try Udemy, they back up their tutorials with projects. Udacity too is good but expensive.

I also beamed my torchlight on Udemy.com,they seemed to be helpful but i think the cheapest turtorial kit (for starters ) there is for $11.

There is no right path, many would tell you the good part.
Let me tell you one bad part.

Many programmers started earning from programming after 2 years of learning, some after 5 years, some 1 year +.

Don’t be afraid, the trick is you should code everyday and learn something new everyday.
