We trust our amiable President just as the USA government confirmed the trust by returning this monies in the administration of President Buhari. And also believing that the money would be judiciously used as mentioned already.

Dear President Buhari, God would continue to strengthen and bless you to do your possible best in the remaining part of your administration.

God bless America.

God bless President Buhari.

God bless Nigeria!!!.

You see the nonsense you just typed. Do you know that this stolen money are proceeds of crude oil? This crude oil is from the Niger Delta region. In your so called suggestion, you obviously forgot about the Niger Delta region.

You are not different from the Northern politicians. Last year, $320million was returned from switzerland. The said they are using it for school feeding program and grain grants. You will only find children in schools in the North getting this food. No school in the Niger Delta has received it. The grains grant are for Northerners too.

They steal money from Niger Delta, take it abroad, it gets refunded and then they share it in the North, abandoning the region it came from.

NOTE: I am Yoruba. Assuming the Niger delta region was Oyo and osun state, do you think we will be happy if this thing was done to us?

No true Yoruba man is ever happy at the exploitation and neglect of NigerDelta region

You're too daft too realize that Anything that belongs to the igbos automatically belongs to the Niger deltan, if Nigeria was to split today, the chances of Niger deltan merging with the east is 90 out of 100

And besides I mentioned those 3 states based on my own opinion, FG can come with a different approach!!

So shut up and stop chasing for clout!!

Indeed, previous monies returned last year from Switzerland - some $320 million US dollars - are already being used for the government’s free school feeding scheme, a stipend for millions of disadvantaged citizens, and grain grants for those in severe food hardship.

320m USD on this. Hmm
And the 311m USD will finish and Lagos ibadan road won't be completed. All those projects mentioned wo t be completee while larger part will be stolen.

I weep for Nigeria.

TodayNAlways:
The money will still go the Nigerian way and a typical Nigerian won't be surprised cos we are used to it.

On the other side, please help us o. It's shameful doing this but please, look beyond it. We are really starving as covid19 has really affected our business due to lockdown and our line of business (OK clothes and bags) not among essential services which is what people go after presently. God knows we have been seriously starving with my children due to no food in the house. Imagine in the family of 5. Help us your little way please no matter what it is. God will richly bless and replenish all your sources, amen.

Sorry I am going to say this. Are you directing this request to the right people. Your leaders that you elected just got paid over $300 million. Are they not answerable to you?

STATEMENT ON THE RETURN OF THE ABACHA STOLEN MILLIONS FROM THE UNITED STATES AND JERSEY

On Monday, May 4, 2020, some $311 million US Dollars - stolen from the citizens of Nigeria during the Abacha regime - were safely returned to our country from the United States.

These funds have already been allocated, and will be used in full, for vital and decades-overdue infrastructure development: The second Niger Bridge, the Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Kaduna-Kano expressways - creating tens of thousands of Nigerian construction jobs and local skills, which can then be useful in future projects.

Part of the funds will also be invested in the Mambilla Power Project which, when completed, will provide electricity to some three million homes - over ten million citizens - in our country.

The receipt of these stolen monies - and the hundreds of millions more that have already been returned from the United Kingdom and Switzerland - are an opportunity for the development of our nation, made far harder for those decades the country was robbed of these funds.

Indeed, previous monies returned last year from Switzerland - some $320 million US dollars - are already being used for the government’s free school feeding scheme, a stipend for millions of disadvantaged citizens, and grain grants for those in severe food hardship.

Without these funds, the fight against Covid-19 would be even tougher.

The latest return is a testament to the growing and deepening relationship between the government of Nigeria and the government of the United States.

Without the cooperation both from the UK Government, the US Executive branch and US Congress, we would not have achieved the return of these funds at all.

For years many countries deemed successive Nigerian administrations as too corrupt, too venal and too likely to squander and re-steal the stolen monies - so they did not return the funds.

Today, US, UK and other jurisdictions have found the partnership with the nation of Nigeria they can finally trust.

The Buhari Administration is committed to - and is enacting - total and zero tolerance to corruption in politics and public administration.

The days when government was seen and used by the political class as their personal ATM to empty are over.

The time of better governance and clean hands in the affairs of state is here to stay.

this useless corrupt bastard almost sold this country. His wife claimed that even in her abject penury she wouldn't be as poor as Dangote, goes to show you the level of embezzlement.

if these monies had be used judiciously for it intended purpose,at least their would have been significant growth and development today.

Ask the many hypocrites that never wanted America to release the money in the first place, what they expect the money to be used on and they go quiet.

Instead of releasing the money to the govt to be relooted again, the US could have given the world Bank on behalf of Nigeria to clear our outstanding debts, this would have been better

The money is Nigeria's and our sovereignty is superior to whatever whims disgruntled voters or foreign governments might have.

Debt is part and parcel of global economics and 300 odd million dollars is simply a drop in the ocean of debt.

America as we speak are attempting to borrow 4 trillion dollars but many of you think 300 million dollars is a big deal.

Nigeria is an overpopulated, underperforming nation stemming from the poor rate of productivity of its citizens.

As I've always clamoured, we must build infrastructure and more importantly private citizens must invest in factories and not Hotels, Petrol stations or houses of worship.

It boggles the mind that Nigerians do not understand the simple concept.

It is time to investigate the death of General Sanni Abacha. The man may have been used for money ritual

If you care to check the breakdown of loots, oh apology, bailouts, repatriated thus far from him alone anytime Nigeria is 'broke'.

1998 : $750m
2000: $64m
2002: $1.2bn
2003: $160m
2003: $88m
2005: $461m
2006: $44m
2014: $227m
2017: $322m
2019: £211m
2020: $311m

Anytime, Nigeria is in dire need of money, this man must send money from his grave.

Thank God for Saint Sanni Abacha. The dude has been saving Nigeria and Nigerians, sending us money from the great beyond everytime we need such. May his source of fund never dry up. Kudos!.
