Developing Story: A video has emerged of an MNJTF contingent in Northwest Borno confronting Boko Haram insurgents. The troops carried out the raid at an island in the marshy Lake Chad region. One of the fighters was seen in the video, attempting to flee and refused orders to stop, he was subdued by gunshots and run over by the wheels of an MRAP. From the dialect spoken in the video, the attack was carried out by troops of Nigér Republic. The MRAP model known as Mamba, is only used by their military.
