Well that's for those who are forming oga and can't buy the oil by themselves.

Buy your oil and take it to the engr for servicing.

This is what goes on in most dealerships in Nigeria. Be it Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Mercedes; name it. That's how they make their money. And they won't let you see what they are doing. They charge you premium for regular service.

about 3 years ago i went to a hyundai dealership in abuja to replace spark plugs and oil, same dealership the car was bought brand new. A couple weeks later the car started misfiring again, this time we went to a local mechanic and we found out the plugs were never replaced, they probably just cleaned them and put them back in.

I saw worse. The Kia guys were using a Nigerian made ATF in a Kia transmission. Their drums of engine oil 10w-30 were from dozzy. No wonder I saw a lot of Kia Rio's with blown engines in their lot.

ASD (Peugeot accredited agent) did the same to my Boss' car. They charged us 56k for servicing only for them to use drum oil for the servicing. I mean drum oil of 600naira X 5 liters = #3000. Since then we buy our oil from the Fuel Station and straight to Kazeem to change it.

All these stories show that it's not a matter of going to all these fancy dealerships that will guaranty your car gets the best service. You have to try to find a good and trusted tech, usually by recommendation from people who drive the same type of model.
