Lol! the pose is deliberate because the bird knows that the catcher is playing with fire. they will soon deal with him for night.

Your idea of kindness is plucking its feathers?

Lol. You funny.

I honestly don't mind that to help it nurture and get strong before the feathers grow again.

After all it was a hurt bird to begin with.

OP don't mind all those calling you cruel and stuff. They are just forming what they are not.
A bird was in distress, it was bruised both physically and emotionally by another bird. Maybe it has been banished from their kingdom for loosing the fight or it might not go back due to shame. But you came like and angel and saved it. You plucked its feathers because you realized it needed rest and shouldn't fly just yet. The bird is grateful to you. See the eyes it is giving you. Its obviously enjoying your company.
Take good care of the bird, then look for suitable buyers who will take better care of it. Nobody wants to be in the wild. Well done op
thankz man. I love this

Of course it will if done correctly but if not it damges its tissues and may never grow back.
Wild birds fly for necessity and pleasure. It helps them to find food, to find other birds, including mates, opportunities to socialize, to find breeding and nesting sites, to escape danger and predation.

Its not a hen. It flies for reasons and will most likely die when it can't perform in the hands of some clueless individual like u and the Op

falcon.
It's a bird of prey, feeds on lizard's and rodent's intestines.
Kindly release it else it'll die.

African Hobby...
This specie of falcon is scattered across Africa but Its close relative, the Taita Falcon is endemic to the southern part of Africa.
You are spot on.
More likely an African hobby(a falcon specie)
I hope it is not a Taita falcon because those are rare and a vulnerable specie.

such malevolence! What if you were traveling, and was waylaid and abducted by herdsmen or boko haram. They held you captive, sprained your ankle so you can't escape. You become their slave for them for the rest of your life (like some of the unfortunate chibok girl).
You are held against your will, deprived from going about your usual work, and from being with your loved ones.
It's a truly lovely situation, right?

Can't help but notice your posts of late. Do you live near a forest that you're always encountering this unique wildlife?
Not safe to come in direct contact with some of them, especially if you're not an expert.
Do your self a favour, read up zoonotic disease and natural reservoir

My final message: be kind to wildlife. They are already persecuted enough by us. Make a difference. Be the reason wildlife would agree there are still good humans in the world.

If you can't keep wildlife as Maura in the tweet below, forget the matter.

Falcons are lovely when domesticated and this one is proving it already...

Keep it, but if it threatens to die free it, it may come back

This bird is not an owl but with a beak like that, it definitely eats meat.

Is it agressive towards you?
