It’s a beautiful Taita Falcon. You would have to sell it at some point. It is a carnivore. It always needs to fly. If you would not like to sell it, look for resources online on how to train it. It may be useful for keeping away birds around the airport; and that is a lot of gain for you only if you train it and offer your service to the aviation authorities.

Good luck

Peregrine Falcon..

Peregrine falcon, (Falco peregrinus), also called duck hawk, the most widely distributed species of bird of prey, with breeding populations on every continent except Antarctica and many oceanic islands. Sixteen subspecies are recognized. The peregrine falcon is best known for its diving speed during flight—which can reach more than 300 km (186 miles) per hour—making it not only the world’s fastest bird but also the world’s fastest animal.

Captive peregrine falcons have long been used in the sport of falconry. After World War II the peregrine falcon suffered a precipitous population decline throughout most of its global range.

Keep it. It’s in more danger without the wing. Make sure you take care of it well. It must not die. Train it too. If it gets very attached to you trust me it’ll not go

Get your bird accustomed to its new environment gradually. To get your hawk or falcon acclimated, or manned, keep it in the house with you for a week or so. ...
Put a piece of meat on the glove to train your bird to step up. ...
Begin tossing food to the ground when it jumps on your glove.

What they eat: Their typical prey items include shorebirds, ducks, grebes, gulls, pigeons, and songbirds. Peregrine falcons also eat bats, and they occasionally steal prey—including fish and rodents—from other raptors.

Of course it will if done correctly but if not it damges its tissues and may never grow back.
Wild birds fly for necessity and pleasure. It helps them to find food, to find other birds, including mates, opportunities to socialize, to find breeding and nesting sites, to escape danger and predation.

Its not a hen. It flies for reasons and will most likely die when it can't perform in the hands of some clueless individual like me and the Op

Lol. You people don't have sense. If you know how a bird works, you'll know that the feathers will grow soon but instead, you're throwing insults to the op like you're a baby elephant.

Congratulations... You just got yourself a bird of prey.
I remembered the first time I caught exactly this bird(a falcon), I taught it was a witchcraft bird that got caught up in a fight and lost. I didn't even know what it eats at first, so I gave it a dead cockroach which it rejected. Until I saw an unlucky wall gecko which the bird devoured at once. Sad thing was that the next day, I didn't see the falcon again which increased my suspicion of it being a witchcraft bird

Re: Finally Got A Wild Bird As Pet (Photos) by lanchy: 11:26am On Jun 06, 2020
That was its first flight, the other bird you thought was fighting with it, was its parent teaching it to fly, it is not strong enough to fully fly, feed it with small rodents like mice, or big insects like grasshoppers or cockroaches!! until it is strong enough to fend for itself and release it.

OP, if you do not release this bird in good health, bad things will happen, no one asked you to go and pick it up, not to mention removing the feathers it took so long to grow.

God no go let someone remove your own feathers of success ooo, say amen and treat that bird well and release it when it can fly ok?

It's only a kid that plucks off a bird feather. You should have allowed the poor creature to go.
