Lol. But OAU is the Harvard of Nigeria in that regard. The founders of Jobberman, Paystack, Kwudi, and many other fintech startups were from OAU. Akinwumi Adeshina, Jimi Agbaje, Lai Muhammad, Oluremi Tinubu, Jimoh Ibrahim, the CEO of first bank, founder of Ovation, the Founder of Forte Oil and many other well established businesses went to ife too. Fayemi met his wife in ife.
Even Seun Osewa na ife boy.

Yet people say Nigerian Universities are totally useless...

I just shake my head when I hear comments like that. Yes. The Nigerian system generally leaves much to be desired... but a person who knows what they what out of life will always maximize the resources they have.

with all the rankings Nigerian universities still have a long way to go.
Go to companies like dangote cement u will see Chinese and Indians all over the place.Nigerian Banks depend on foreign expertriates for Ict solutions, Chinese pple are d ones doing major roads and rail ways, go to dangote refinery na oyibo dey in charge
The question is where are all d engineers being produced by Nigerian universities? Though some are doing well in their field, unfortunately a lot of them are jobless, some making photo copy after grad.
We need tangible product not ranking ranking all d time. The internet we use today is a product of research in a University. All d researches we have been doing in Nigeria what are the products?

Unilag is in a class of it's own for many reasons. The city influence, every major youth targeted product in Nigeria must first launch in Unilag. The exposure is of gargantuan proportion.
Whatever field you choose to delve into, be it business, corporate world, entertainment, ministry etc there is always a link that can lead you there faster in Unilag. And because Lagos is the city of choice for most people, you will always link up after graduating.
University education isn't just about books, it's also about been enlightened.
Suffice it to say, Unilag shines that light on you.

Always proud of #Unilag.

It’s the products outside of which there will be no productivity ranking.

Unilag since the days of their former VC Omotola has always been rated highly, but I didn’t know the trend persists still. Unilag consult was the powerhouse for startups and did all sort of business projects for the school back in the days.

Kudos to Akokites!

Is it the school that taught them how to found such companies? Abi they just used their common sense and started their own runs?
Nobody should sit down here and be using school as excuse for success or failure.
Do your runs.
