What's the big deal in owning a Tab? You think everyone on this forum are broke kids like you? mine costs just 150K which is not even as expensive as some normal samsung phones such as S20 (370K) which some guys on this forum are using.

Programmers should start using tablets to write all their codes and test on a live server, this will save you the stress of continually bending and starring at a laptop screen for several hours.
Most laptops in Nigeria can't even last for 3hours but with my tablet I can go all day, I can take it anywhere even in the kitchen or toilet I'm still coding and testing on a live server (heruku or github pages is a life saver).

Actually, an external keyboard and mouse will solve much of the problems.
Perhaps you feel other programmers who use bigger screens on external monitors dont know about ipad..

You cant open separate CSS, HTML and JS/PY files with VS code and live server on a browser on the same screen page unless you toggle and joggle between tabs. A total waste of time if you ask me.
The seamless touches are not even there when you program with tab bro, no matter the screen size. It can only help to keep doing a project when you are not home.

iPads are the pinnacle of tablets and it's really hard to recommend one outside them. However Kindles are good for media content and ebooks and Samsung Galaxy tabs are morbidly overpriced..


Essentially I believe a choice of a tablet is between iPads and Kindles. I think most people don't use tablets because a majority of persons have a smartphone and a laptop and the go-between (tablets) seem out of place.
You are so right. I got an iPad and kindle (almost 2 yrs ago). The kindle was only for my ebooks of which I own over 3000 files but I still find myself buying bootleg hardcover books. I haven't opened my iPad in nearly 6months. My phone and laptop are used most of the time but the phone is the winner. With Telegraph channels that share various films and music files for free now, even my laptop is becoming obsolete.

I have 2 samsung galaxy tablets that my employer (company) foisted on me and they are here lying fallow. I use my smartphones for my mails and when i need to sit down and work in earnest I deploy the laptop.

I wish I can sell them off without repercussion. grin

you are wrong. they have bigger screens and higher pixels which consumes more power. A 7000mah battery on a Tab may not last as long as a 4000mah battery on a smartphone.

I'm replying this from a Huawei MediaPad and I can tell you, on a single charge which lasts 3 hours, my tab can last for the whole day. And i use it heavily

After enduring much frustration I sold my Samsung tab 20k last year. I charged it for like 24hrs to get 100%.
One hour after I sold it the buyer called me and was telling me to refund 5k as he has to get a new battery.
I was like oga na fairly used tablet with fairly used battery, abeg na applicant I be no call me again. The man just burst laugh.

Because the phone we are using now is getting closer to a tablet. Some phone are 7inches + while tablet are 10 inches.
